My mom is my best friend.

This past September she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. After an MRI on her collarbone, doctors saw a small mass on her lung, and a quick biopsy revealed that it was in fact cancer. We stayed strong awaiting further test results, but a few weeks later PET scans revealed the cancer had already spread across her body to her lymph nodes and bones.

Pam Mccabe-Nies is my mother and my best friend. She is our biggest role model, working tirelessly to support our family in her 27 years as an RN at Cambridge Health Alliance. No matter what, she has always put everybody else first. Whether it was our family, our friends, or the patients she took care of day after day.

No matter what Pam figured out how to be there. She figured out how to make every holiday extra special, she figured out how to take us to nice places even if it meant taking extra shifts, she figures out how to love each and every person, bringing endless support. Pam has given people a roof when they didn't have one, Pam has gone out of her way to make everybody else feel happy and safe, no matter what she was feeling. Despite her diagnosis she has continued to be this person.

Pam is now unable to work due to her condition. Her dream of retiring this year and moving South has been put on hold. We pledge to be strong during this time, as Pam is the toughest person we know. However, this situation leaves our family in a very difficult position.

We are kindly asking for your support to continue to give Pam the care she needs and deserves.

With much love,

Stand with Pam Mccabe in Her Battle with Metastatic Cancer

Franky passed away on Wednesday, August 17th at the age of 66. For those of you that knew Frank, you knew that he was stubborn and a fighter. Frank fought until the very end with his battle with cancer. Everyone loved him and you could always count on him to be there. He was a great person all around whether he was your family, friend, or just your neighbor. He became family to most that knew him. Cancer took him far too soon. He’s going to be deeply missed & always in our hearts. We would all like to see Franky get the service he deserves and could use your help. Any amount is appreciated. We are looking into organizing a beautiful mass & celebration of Frank’s life. Thank you for all your condolences during this time.

Services for Frank Krystyn

My name is Bridget Mitchell and I recently lost my husband on Monday, September 7th after valiantly fighting for his life on a ventilator for 25 days.

Before I dive into the past 25 days, let me tell you about my wonderful husband, Brandon. We first met almost 14 years ago and became best friends. One year later we began dating, and in 2016 I got to marry my best friend. It’s a day I will cherish for the rest of my life.

In 2018 Brandon was taken to the ER for what he thought was an asthma attack. After several tests, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. After the diagnosis, things became a struggle for Brandon. He went through multiple tests, hospitalizations, procedures, and medications.

Day 1 of 25. Brandon undergoes cardiac surgery, which does not go as doctors had planned. They couldn’t wean Brandon off of the ventilator for 25 days. He fought until his heart became too tired.

We wrote a love story in the hospital for those 25 days. For 25 days, I stood at Brandon’s bedside holding his hand. For 25 days, I would pray with him and bless him with holy water and oil.For 25 days, I would play him our wedding song before having to leave him for the night.

The love that I have for this man will never fade. He will Forever be a part of my heart and soul.

We realize that offering financial support to our family during this uncertain time may be difficult for some. Please know that any amount is appreciated tremendously as we work closer to reaching our fundraising goal to be able to give Brandon a proper funeral and burial. I cannot thank you all enough for the endless amount of love and support.

Brandon’s Funeral and Burial Fund

My friend Mike was a loving son and a great friend to many. He was always there to lend a hand to anybody that needed it. He worked in the recovery field helping others that struggled from the disease of addiction, he personally helped me recover and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for Mike. Today my best friend lost that battle to addiction and I am asking for help for his mother in making funeral arrangements.

Arrangements For Mike Phillips

Hey all,
I honestly hate asking for help and really didn’t want to do this; But as most of you have heard by now Cory and I lost our Father (Billy Cotter) out of nowhere yesterday.

Not having life insurance and not prepared for this at all Cory and I are left in shock and overwhelmed. We don’t have much of a family to help so we are looking to our other family for help in this time of need.
