<div>Anyone who has had the chance to meet Himal McCarthy will tell you he is the most spectacular person they have met. His joy is rapturous, his laughter inspiring, and his love of life absolutely radiates in everything he does.

<div>This past Saturday, Himal suffered <strong>two seizures</strong>, which has led us to discover the presence of a <strong>brain tumor</strong>.

He attended UCLA for college, where his endless passion for the arts and people led him to many journeys, meeting so many new friends and learning so much about the world, loving and treasuring his connection to the earth.

Help Ukrainian Crisis Efforts

<div>Recently Scotty Lapp, our friend and adopted son passed away in a ski accident. We are all heart broken. He touched the lives of so many around him. Scotty was one of the most positive, adventurous people you could ever meet. He was a friend to all who met him. He was a leader who inspired those around him to live in the moment and to be their best.

If a member of hospital staff catches the virus, their health is at serious risk, and they cannot work for at least 14 days. That’s a major problem. <br /><br />We need to protect frontline responders. More responders on the frontline means more capacity at our hospitals, and more people will get the care they need.<br /><br />"Our doctors, nurses and hospital staff are the real action heroes of this crisis. I just play one in the movies. We have an opportunity and a responsibility to provide them with personal protective equipment right now to keep them safe as they fight this virus, so when I heard about Flexport.org’s plan, this was a no-brainer to me," said Arnold Schwarzenegger. Unfortunately, there is a lot more work to do.<br /><br />There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to move something from point A to point B, but it’s essentially a four step process: <br /><br />1. Manufacturers make the supplies. <br />2. Trucks get the supplies to the airport or ocean ports. <br />3. Cargo planes and ships will bring supplies to the nearest hub. <br />4. Trucks will pick up the supplies and deliver them to the hospitals. <br /><br />Flexport.org supports all of these companies and makes the process move as quickly as possible, enabling organizations to deliver aid and make an impact. We’re at the point of intersection for companies to move critical supplies from the factory and get them to frontline responders. <br /><br />Hospitals and medical centers tell us where we need to surge resources. We’re working with every major trucking company, airline, medical supplier and everyone in between.  <br /><br /><br /><strong>Here’s how we’re solving this problem:</strong><br />Last week we helped MedShare donate 60,000 surgical masks, 34,000 gloves, 2,000 surgical gowns and 50 thermometers to San Francisco’s Department of Public Health.<br /><br />We need to do more.<br /><br />Fortunately, masks, gowns and equipment are cheap. Unfortunately, transporting them isn’t free. SAFER Embarcadero for ALL

Welcome to the Brooklyn New School Band GoFundMe project!!<br /><br />An incredible thing is happening in our public elementary school in Brooklyn. Every Tuesday afternoon, at 610 Henry Street, 114 trumpeters, drummers, violinists, clarinetists, flutists, saxophonists, trombonists, and guitar players gather together to learn how to blow, strum and play their instruments. The enthusiasm is infectious. The noise-level is, well, high. The pride and joy of children learning to make music together is incalculable.<br /><br />The Brooklyn New School Band has been formed from scratch this year. This has taken a huge amount of blood, sweat, hopefully-no-tears and yes, MONEY. The program costs $70,000 to provide musical instruction for all of the children in the Band for an entire school year. This money covers instrument rental, teacher salaries and administrative expenses. <br /><br />The Brooklyn New School is providing this incredible musical experience to ANY child who wants to participate, regardless of their family's ability to pay. No child is turned away.<br /><br />Currently, half of our Band families are receiving full or partial scholarships. We need your help so that we can continue to provide this amazing musical experience to ALL of the children in the Band. See our story below :)<br />...<br /><br />Serena and other children with special needs give us things to celebrate every day.  Serena's passion and perseverance have brought her so far and she is walking! <br /><br /><strong>There are no walkers on the market</strong>, however, that are truly functional <strong>to meet the needs of developing children,</strong> they are not affordable nor are they kid friendly (FUN!).  Many of Serena's walkers have actually hurt her.<br /><br /><strong>We are about to change that</strong>. Darling June (a public benefit corporation) was founded by Serena's mom to address this need.  While it is inspired by Serena, the walker we are designing is going to be made available for all children with special needs, giving them access to dignified, FUNctional options that <strong>allow</strong><strong> them to walk free of isolation, harm and stigmatization.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Your donations will go directly to the design, development and production of the first working prototype of the walker </strong>that will change the lives of so many young children, instilling in them the mindset that they deserve the best.  We are <strong>revolutionizing the walker industry and changing the paradigm of what it means to have special needs. <br /><br /></strong><strong>Our first design is well under way and looks amaaaazing!</strong><br /><br />THANK YOU!!!!!
