<p>Hello my name is Chantay and I hoping to help my Dad. He was injured while fighting a very serious and bad wildfire on Paradise Meadows loop in Edgewood NM. Him and one other Nieghbor Janet had put 4 hoses together so my Father could get out to the fire coming at their houses. My Father was able to stop the fire coming towards their homes and contain it till the Edgewood firefighters could get there and get set up. It was a very bad situation and a very bad fire due to high winds. 2 structures were damaged during this fire. Dad was wearing his cowboy boots and while out there fighting hotspots and they melted and Dad ended up burning his feet with 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his toes and feet. My Father helped save potential animals, homes and people from this fire. I would like the community come to his rescue as he is going to be unable to work for the next 30 days and possibly longer according to his Dr. Dad works for East Mountain Pumping and Septic and it’s a very laborious job. He will need help with his medical bills as he has no insurance thru his work, and for food and to continue to pay his bills. Thank you so much and may God bless this community here in the East mountains.

<div>Update:
</div>
<div>Today, April 5th, Heaven gained another angel. Sam passed peacefully with her family by her side.
</div>
<div>Although this GoFundMe initially started as a humble way to assist Sam’s recovery efforts, its purpose has a new energized spirit- to help honor Sam’s legacy.
</div>
<div>To know her was to love her. Sam was generous, selfless, kind, strong, and full of faith and love.
</div>
<div>We would love this GoFundMe to continue on and assist Cole, Tuff, and the rest of Sam’s family in navigating these uncharted waters-
</div>
<div>Should you find it in your hearts, donate, share, and continue to keep this beautiful family in your prayers. They need us now more than ever.
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our grateful hearts-
</div>
<div>Kristen and Jennie
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our names are Kristen Baltz and Jennie Day and we are friends/coworkers of Sam's and the organizers of this GoFundMe effort. Although we know Cole and family are grateful for all prayers and have only asked for prayers, we knew we wanted to do more to lift up this family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for Sam, a devoted wife, mother, and friend who is currently fighting for her life in the ICU.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sam is a dedicated phlebotomist at Central Washington Hospital, (and previously a certified nursing assistant) where she has spent years caring for patients with kindness and compassion. Now, she is the one who needs care, and we are rallying together to help her and her family through this unimaginable time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She is a loving wife to Cole and the proud mother of their sweet 5-year-old son, Tuff. If you’ve ever met Sam, you know she has a heart of gold—a woman who would give her last ounce of strength to help someone else. But right now, she needs us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her battle in the ICU has been physically and emotionally exhausting for her family. Cole is doing everything he can to be by her side while also ensuring Tuff’s world remains as stable as possible. The financial burden of this crisis is no doubt overwhelming, and we want to ease that stress so they can focus on what truly matters—Sam’s hopeful recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter how big or small, <strong>will go directly toward medical expenses, hospital bills, and supporting Cole, Tuff, and family</strong> during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Sam in your thoughts and prayers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sam is a fighter, and we believe in the power of love, faith, and the Wenatchee Valley community. Let’s show her that she is not alone in this fight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support.
