<div>In the midst of horrors of war, my family finds themselves in a harrowing predicament that words can scarcely capture. Despite the previous harsh circumstances of the siege and constant looming war, their lives were still filled with the simple joys of home, education, and dreams for the future, but are now being irrevocably upended by the devastating realities of war. My family has been subjected to a level of suffering that is difficult for many to fathom. Their home, once a sanctuary of love and laughter, now lies in ruins.

<div>Despite their resilience and the unyielding spirit specially of mothers -my mother, my sister and my sister in law- trying to shield their children from the horrors surrounding them, the stark reality remains—they are in urgent need of evacuation. Their current existence, confined to a makeshift tent devoid of basic human necessities, is no life for anyone.

<div>My sister and her husband are doing everything in their power to shield their children from harm. My brother-in-law told me, "I have never been afraid in my life, but now I am afraid for my children's lives." From dawn to dusk, my sister strives to make it through each day with her family intact. I can’t imagine how it feels for my sister to look at her child vaded in the deprivation of his own basic needs while she’s not able to provide him any!

<div>Their suffering unfolds before our eyes. Recently, during a call, I heard one of her children crying out in agony. It turned out he was suffering from gland inflammation caused by drinking contaminated water and the scarcity of nutritious food. Similarly, my niece has contracted hepatitis, a direct result of the same dire conditions.

<div>My brother and his family, too, are enduring their own ordeal, though details are scarce since it is very challenging to get in contact with them due to the power shortages. My two-year-old nephew previously struggled with an undiagnosed skin condition related to his immunity. His situation got worse in the summer and that his mother needed to stay with him in hospital for two months . Plans were made for his treatment in Egypt before October, but the outbreak of war halted these, leaving his condition to worsen. Seeing photos of his affected skin was horrifying. It's a painful thought, knowing his condition could have been treated, if only they had the means to travel for treatment.

<div>Four of my nephews and nieces, are all missing a year of school, a primary stage of their education! A stark symbol of their disrupted lives.
</div>

<div>Amidst this darkness, however, there lies a glimmer of hope. The possibility of evacuation presents a beacon of light. Yet, this hope is hindered by financial constraints, a substantial fee that stands as a barrier to their safety. This fee, required for crossing the border into Egypt, is their only passage to being safe.
</div>
<div>The company facilitating travel from Gaza to Egypt, Hala company, has offered their paid service since 2019, ensuring secure border crossings from Gaza to Egypt. Despite substantial price hikes in recent months and ongoing fluctuations, this remains the only option for my family to reach safety in Egypt. Not utilising this service would entail subjecting them to further suffering and an increased risk of death amid the worsening circumstances. Nevertheless, we want to start raising funds with the information available.

<div>Crossing permits to Egypt: The Egyptian government has recently begun formalising a mechanism to allow Palestinians to cross the Rafah border into Egypt. These permits come with enormous fees, and the fixed price, paid to Egyptian officials facilitated by Hala company, is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, we want to start raising funds with the information available.

Help My Family Survive in Gaza

<div>I am raising funds to bring my Family to safety as the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip gets worse each day and the constant bombardments leave my Family members in fear and uncertainty for their fate and survival.

<div>My Family has currently displaced for 100 days and taking refuge in UNRWA school in difficult humanitarian conditions, suffering from cold and exposure to diseases spreading between crowds of people seeking shelter, as well as water and food scarcity. Unfortunately, the safety in UNRWA school is not guaranteed as violence against Gaza Strip escalates.

<div>The funds will be spent on urgent help and relocation of my Sister’s family with two children and my Brother to a safe and stable environment.

<div>My Sister Suzan is an architect, focusing on hospital design and improving the delivery of medical services to over 2 million Palestinians as part of an engineering team in Gaza-Strip and also privately working in architectural design with many clients, as well as internationally for Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Along with my beloved brother-in-law, and her husband – Musa, they are raising two children – Adam, 8 years old boy, and a six years old girl Deema. Musa was a factory worker, and due to the aggression his workplace was bombed and destroyed. Sadly because of that he is now out of work and deprived of an income to support his Family. Deema was eager to start her 1st year of her education journey, but the ongoing bombardments took that chance away from her. Usually, my Sister Suzan prepares beautiful decorations and birthday cakes for her kids. This time around, Deema spent her birthday being displaced away from home. Now she wakes up afraid of the nightmares she is having and cries in her sleep due to the traumatizing conditions she’s living through every day. Despite the situations, she’s made many friends with children seeking shelter alongside her. Her brother Adam has been affected too. He has always been fascinated by space and dreamed of becoming an astronaut. His education was interrupted, and he lost some of his friends and colleagues who have been killed in the ruthless, indiscriminatory bombardments.

<div>The amount of people taking shelter in the school is beyond its capacity. Because of that, Suzan with Adam, and Deema are separated daily from Musa for a few hours who sleep far away from them in a tent, which only forces more stress upon all of them. The temperature at night reaches below 10°C. On one occasion, they heard a warplane enter the area and opened fire randomly, even though they were in an area civil area and subject to UNRWA.

<div>My Brother Maisara stays with Musa. He has been living in the UK for the past few years, where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Dundee in 2018. He came to visit his family in Gaza last year and now can’t leave since the war started. After the destruction of our house in the east of Gaza, the fund will help him to flee from death and destruction and continue his life in the UK. Maisara worked in Brook, in the life science industry and has been successful in his career, also registering a patent during his work there. He worked in a team confronting the Corona pandemic in 2020 by developing devices for storing and managing medical samples. The patent was granted for his creative solution in preventing ice from forming on the sample barcodes inside the incubators at -80 °C.

We saw dreams and dreams in every corner of the apartment And in every corner we have memories with my husband, our children, and the family on special occasions. The decision to take refuge in a tent in a shelter and the decision to leave Gaza were difficult decisions. However, it was only under the bombing of the planes and the crying of my children. We read about a report of a bomb placed on the chest of a baby, news of a father being killed in front of his children, or giving safety to a man and his daughter only to kill them in cold blood. We read all this news and realize that it is possible that we could be the news or our children could be the news. We do not know how much time we have left until the enemy vehicles reach our humanitarian area, and we do not know if we will be able to protect our children or what the fate of our children will be, or if our fate is death. I express my sincere gratitude for considering our plea and stand ready to embark on this transformative journey with your support. Thank you for your consideration of our proposal</em>.”

Raised funds will be spent to cover the expenses of getting my Family out of Gaza, which with your help, would enable them to travel through the Rafah crossing, with an approximate cost of 10,000 EUR per adult in crossing fees. In addition, the funds would cover 1015 EUR in a 2.9% commission fee and the rest of the funds would be spent assisting with transportation and temporary accommodation costs in Egypt. Leider ist die Sicherheit in der UNRWA-Schule angesichts der Eskalation der Gewalt gegen den Gazastreifen nicht gewährleistet.

<div>Die Gelder des Fundings werden für dringende Hilfe und die Umsiedlung der Familie meiner Schwester mit zwei Kindern und meines Bruders in eine sichere und stabile Umgebung verwendet.

<div>Meine Schwester Suzan ist Architektin, die sich auf Krankenhausgestaltung und die Verbesserung der medizinischen Versorgung von über 2 Millionen Palästinensern als Teil eines Ingenieurteams im Gaza-Streifen und auch in der privaten Architekturgestaltung mit vielen Kunden, auch international für Saudi-Arabien und Kuwait, konzentriert. Zusammen mit meinem geliebten Schwager, ihrem Ehemann - Musa, zieht sie zwei Kinder auf - Adam, ein 8 Jahre alter Junge, und ein 6 Jahre altes Mädchen Deema. Musa war Fabrikarbeiter, doch aufgrund der Aggression wurde sein Arbeitsplatz bombardiert und zerstört. Leider hat er deshalb seine Arbeit verloren und somit jegliche Mittel zur Unterstützung seiner Familie. Deema war voller Vorfreude, ihre erste Schulklasse zu beginnen, aber die anhaltenden Bombardierungen haben ihr diese Chance genommen. Normalerweise bereitet meine Schwester Suzan schöne Dekorationen und Geburtstagskuchen für ihre Kinder vor. Dieses Mal hat Deema ihren Geburtstag fernab von zu Hause verbracht. Jetzt wacht sie vor den Albträumen auf und weint im Schlaf aufgrund der traumatischen Bedingungen, die sie jeden Tag durchlebt. Trotz der Situation hat sie viele Freunde unter den Kindern gefunden, die ebenfalls Schutz suchen. Ihr Bruder Adam ist ebenso betroffen. Er war immer fasziniert von der Raumfahrt und träumte davon, Astronaut zu werden. Seine Ausbildung wurde unterbrochen, und er hat einige seiner Freunde und Kollegen verloren, die bei den gnadenlosen, wahllosen Bombardierungen getötet wurden.

Nach der Zerstörung unseres Hauses im Osten des Gazastreifens soll ihm das Funding helfen, dem Tod und der Zerstörung zu entkommen und sein Leben im Vereinigten Königreich fortzusetzen. Maisara arbeitete bei Brook in der Life-Science-Branche und war in seiner Karriere erfolgreich, einschließlich der Anmeldung eines Patents während seiner Tätigkeit dort.
