<div>Our family is heartbroken to share that my father, Pio Valentín Amaguaña, has been diagnosed with Stage IV kidney cancer. The cancer has already spread to both kidneys and his lungs, and because of how advanced it is, his only treatment option is immunotherapy. This treatment helps the body’s own immune system recognize and attack cancer cells, and while it can help slow the progression of the disease, his doctors estimate a life expectancy of 6 months to 2 years.

<div>My dad is a loving father of five and a proud grandfather, as well as a devoted son to his parents. He is more than just a father—he is a brother, a friend, and a beloved educator and coach, known for his passion and encouragement. This diagnosis has brought unexpected emotional and financial challenges. He is deeply committed to continuing to work so he can keep his medical insurance and provide stability for his youngest children. Even while facing a fatal cancer diagnosis, his focus has been on paying bills instead of his own health. We, his family, truly believe the only way he will allow himself to rest, preserve his strength, and focus on the treatment ahead is if we can lift some of this financial burden from his shoulders.

Joey's Legacy: Support His Family's Journey

This goes directly against DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's promises that the DC police do not cooperate with ICE, and that DC is a sanctuary city. Benjamin is currently being held hours away from home in an ICE detention center in Virginia.<br /><br />Benjamin is a well-known figure in the area Latin dance community, an activist and an amazing and generous friend to many.<br />This injustice has caused him to lose his job and apartment and puts the life that he has built at risk, but he remains committed to standing up for what is right.<br /><br />Please support Benjamin and his whole community in lifting up his story and contributing what you can to support his legal fees and to help him get back on his feet when he is released! <br />This is by far one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Those of you who knew Edwin know that he had a heart of gold and was a great friend, loving dad, awesome bother, wonderful son and much much more.  Edwin was taken from us far to early and unexpectedly yesterday. <br /><br />I am creating this page to help raise money for Edwin's family for service costs and any bills they will acquire during this tough time.  As many of you know the last several months The Aquirre family has been through a lot . We are happy to say that we still have Rosa on this earth as she continues to fight the good fight. However I am still at a lose for words on losing for a great friend. <br /><br />I hoping to meet this goal if not surpass it. Alton Lee Peele entered rest on Thursday March 31st, 2016. We are seeking the assistance of Family and Friends to raise funds to aid in the cost of his funeral arrangements and one month of mortgage coverage during the bereavement of his wife. <br /><br />Alton was a great man who touched many with his kindness, honesty, and integrity. He dedicated his life to his family and never thought twice to help his fellow neighbor.
