<div>My name is MICHAEL SNOOK, and for years I ran a DIY creative space in Oakland called NIMBY <a href="https://www.nimbyspace.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.NIMBYspace.org</a> . Where thousands of projects and dreams came to life as well as a few that never got finished. When Oakland legalized marijuana, property prices soared, and I could no longer afford to keep NIMBY in its original location. I packed up everything and moved to Doyle, California, Where the Artists could still afford to own property, hoping for a fresh start. Just as I settled in, the COVID-19 lockdown hit, so I spent my time remodeling several fixer-upper properties I had purchased at insanely discounted prices.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When the lockdown lifted, disaster struck. The Beckwourth wildfires rolled through Doyle, destroying all but one of my houses and most of the tools and equipment from NIMBY <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-07-15/burning-man-apostle-moves-to-desert-town-hit-by-beckwourth-fire." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-07-15/burning-man-apostle-moves-to-desert-town-hit-by-beckwourth-fire." target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-07-15/burning-man-apostle-moves-to-desert-town-hit-by-beckwourth-fire.</a></a> Despite the devastation, I was determined to rebuild. I purchased an American-made 40x80 building, but I ran out of funds before I could pour the concrete for the foundation. Since then, I've faced countless hurdles trying to get things back on track.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, I'm hoping to raise enough money to finish the build permit, dig the footings, install rebar, and complete the concrete work. There will likely be some small repairs to equipment and skilled labor costs, but I'm doing everything I can to keep expenses down by working with friends and doing as much myself as possible. Your support will help me rebuild and restore a creative space for the community. With your help, I believe we can raise the barn and bring NIMBY back to life and keep the dreams alive.
</div>

Help me get the foundation in so I can put up a new shop.

<div>Please Help Summer Recover After a Terrifying Work Accident

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On October 27th, my sister, Summer, was involved in a serious accident while working. She was driving a large water truck when it rolled over, ejecting her from the vehicle. It’s truly a miracle that she survived and her injuries weren’t more severe. However she is still in significant pain with numerous injuries and broken bones and is facing a long recovery ahead.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>While we are incredibly thankful she’s alive, this accident has turned her world upside down. She will be off work for an undetermined amount of time, and it’s still unclear what costs will or won’t be covered by workers’ compensation. Unfortunately, that means she’s left to manage lost wages and medical bills on her own while she focuses on healing.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Anyone who knows Summer knows how hardworking and independent she is. Asking for help doesn’t come easy to her, but right now, she needs our support more than ever.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We’re raising funds to help cover:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Lost income while she’s unable to work

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Medical expenses and follow-up care not covered by insurance or workers’ comp

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Day-to-day living expenses during her recovery

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you’re able to contribute, no matter the amount, it will make a huge difference for Summer as she works toward getting back on her feet. Even if you can’t donate, please share this page and keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time. ❤️

</div>

<div><br />

Help Summer Recover from a Terrible Accident.

<div>If you know Chipper, you know she loves to build things and help people. Unfortunately Chipper has had a nasty run in with a table saw and they are not sure they can save any of the fingers on her right hand.

</div>

<div>As someone who works with her hands to pay the bills ... We are hoping that she won't have to lose anything else too.

</div>

<div>We are asking for donations to help her cover bills, medical bills, buy food, feed the cat.

</div>

<div>She's going to have a long recovery from this one.

</div>

<div>Please, anything helps. Thank you so much.

</div>

<div>We will update this as we get more information.

Help Chipper Recover from Saw Accident

<div>Dear family and friends,

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’m reaching out because I have found myself in the unfortunate position to ask for help regarding the funds I need to retain custody of my son.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’m currently facing one of the most difficult times in my life — being separated from my son.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Many of you are aware of what the last 2 years have been for me, and many of you are not aware, so this may come as an unpleasant surprise. Please know I would not be asking if it wasn’t truly my last resort in order to maintain my relationship with our sweet Parsley aka after 6.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Due to an ongoing custody dispute, I’ve had limited time, and the court has required a professional custody evaluation. This evaluation is critical. It’s the next step toward reestablishing a meaningful relationship with my child, proving my commitment, and showing the court that I am ready and willing to be the parent he deserves. However, the cost of this process — approximately $10,000 — is more than I can afford on my own right now.

</div>

<div>I’m doing everything I can to meet legal requirements, stay strong emotionally, and remain focused on the ultimate goal: being a present and loving parent. But I can’t do this alone.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>That’s why I’m turning to my community, friends, family, and anyone who believes that every child deserves both parents in their life. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring me one step closer to reuniting with my son and giving him the stability and love that only a parent can provide.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you can’t donate, I completely understand. Sharing this campaign or keeping me in your thoughts means more than you know.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you.

</div>

<div>With love, gratitude, and noses.

<div>As many of you know, we love providing an experience we’ve been cultivating since 1999. It’s an outlet for so many folks; a place where people can summon a part of themselves not often seen. A place to battle a friend while onlookers cheer. A singularly unique post-apocalyptic Fight Club. A family. It’s Thunderdome, and it needs you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Can you donate to help folks fight it out this year?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our crew is pretty rough and tumble while camped in the desert; no kitchen, no power, no showers…NOT a plug and play. With a total annual operating budget of under $30,000, the vast majority of the budget goes to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>•Safe dry storage for our equipment year-round
</div>
<div>•Truck rental to and from events
</div>
<div>•Generator rental to power the dome
</div>
<div>•Maintaining, repairing, or replacing equipment like our sound system and rigging…and the weapons you all keep breaking.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We love our dome and do everything we can to keep it going. Some years we’ve been fortunate enough to bring the dome to major events that contribute to our camp fundraising, but since 2020 those are few and far between.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s through shared communal efforts that we bring you the mayhem and glorious spectacle that is Thunderdome.
</div>
<div><br />

<div>No donation is too large. All donations are appreciated.

<div>We are a chapter of the Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus, Copper Queen 1915. Our chapter has been fortunate enough to have a historical building given to the chapter in Wabuska, NV. The building started as E.P. Lovejoy, General Merchandise and Produce in 1881. 144 years later and through a handful of owners, the building has fallen on hard times and is in disrepair. <strong>Copper Queen 1915 is currently taking on the task of fixing the roof</strong> so as to one day refurbish this historical building and bring back Nevada's past for future generations to appreciate. All donations will go to the <strong>Copper Queen 1915 Building Fund</strong>.

<div>After receiving a couple of quotes for the roof alone, we are raising our goal to $50,000. We would like to thank those who have and those who may donate in the future for your support in preserving Nevada history.

<div>I'm Garth, a New Yorker that lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, and I am starting this campaign on behalf of a friend and fellow artist. During the Eaton fire of January 2025, <strong>my friend in art and in life, Sue, and her family Buck and Milo lost everything they worked so hard to obtain over 20 years in a matter of hours.</strong> As a fellow artist, I know how unique each work is, each prop or photo, a show or a piece that will not be mounted again, but at least there are keepsakes. For my dear friend who I met 15 years ago on a production for Cirque Berzerk, those are all gone now. Years of custom-designed costumes, props... unique pieces that will not be seen or made again. Not to mention, their home and all of their belongings are just gone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As part of the human community, and the artist community, <strong>I am doing what I can to help her and her family at this difficult time.</strong> I am thankful that they have their lives and health; now I hope we can all help them in their time of need. All proceeds will go to her and her family. Thank you.

Help Suzanne, Milo and Buck Down after the Eaton fire.

<div>Sadly, our brother <strong>Donny "Van Gogh" Eddington</strong> of ECV Chapter 1864, Julia C. Bulette, has gone to the Silver Hills. His passing was completely unexpected and leaves an enormous hole in our chapter. Van Gogh was always the first to step up for anything the chapter or one of his brothers needed. He was the guy who volunteered to repair the roof on the ECV Building in Virginia City, jumped in to help run the bar and the kitchen long before he became a chapter officer, and his skill with a smoker was legendary (we'll miss his smoked cheese). On a personal note, he was the sole reason my Hangman year wasn't a disaster.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are asking for <strong>donations for his memorial and final expenses</strong>. Please help us remember him with a contribution.

<p>Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
</p><br />
<p>On November 10th, Tyson was struck by a car while walking in a crosswalk. Thankfully, it was not a hit-and-run, and his injuries are not life-threatening. However, Tyson suffered a Lisfranc fracture in his left foot, which requires surgery, and his right foot is also sprained. These injuries have severely limited his mobility, making it difficult for him to use crutches or a walker without assistance and faces a long recovery before he's back on his feet.
</p><br />
<p>We are also awaiting confirmation of other possible injuries, including fractures to his elbow and hip, which may extend his recovery time.
</p><br />
<p>With Tyson unable to work and my own hours cut short to care for him and manage doctor's appointments, we are struggling to cover our monthly expenses. We are humbly reaching out for support to help us navigate the next couple of months as we focus on Tyson's recovery. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us as we navigate this challenging time. We appreciate your support, prayers, and shares. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

<div>Shortly before 6PM on Friday, October 18th, Taz's world was flipped upside-down in a completely inconceivable way and with absolutely no warning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He'd left his house just over an hour before what came next: a tragedy unfolding, in real time, in Gerlach- the place where people wait for October, because that's when things return to the quiet stolen over the course of Summer. He was at the office, around the corner from his home as dinner time neared when a concerned, local friend called him on the phone to inform him that his house was on fire. The first thing he did after arriving to his house was an attempt to go inside (before emergency personnel arrived) hoping to save his decades-long cat companion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shortly thereafter, the town heard explosions as (presumed) propane tanks gave way to the heat. By the time most of us in town arrived, the fire department was already on site and the damage was immeasurable. At least two hours after the fire had been spotted, it still was incapable of being fully extinguished. Community members sat with Taz as he watched all of his earthly belongings turn to ash.

<div>Update: Thank you so much for helping Tania reach her initial goal..Unfortunately, Tania had to have emergency surgery yesterday and she is currently stable and recovering in the ICU. Because of this unforeseen complication, her GoFundMe will remain open so friends and family can continue to donate and support her, as her recovery will take longer than first anticipated.
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for your support and for loving her in this very difficult time.
</div>
<div>Our lovely Tania/Nice doesn’t ask for much help and honestly hasn’t asked this time either… but she is in hospital now and is waiting to find out what has brought her there and kept her there. I’ve reached out to her sister to see if this would be helpful and was told it would make a world of difference to know that she had some money to fall back on as we aren’t sure when she will be able to return to work.
</div>
<div>No amount is too small. Anything can help. If you can find any money to spare to go towards our friend Tania I know she would appreciate it greatly. Thank you so much for your donations, we will keep you updated as much as possible xoxo

<div>Hey Everyone,</div><div> So I'm on a fixed income(VA Disability), and with costs still skyrocketing here in Oakland, I haven't been able to afford to eat, let alone buy new clothes(mine are all threadbare). Also, I was finally able to start a new GoFundMe as they thought I was a Ukrainian spy for my attempt to Fundraise for the "Putin" FrogBat. That being settled, I am again asking for help with food and bills. This fundraiser will help me survive for a few months if I can raise it. Please share and help with what you can afford. Every little bit helps. Thanks.</div><div>-Otto Von Danger</div><div>SGT/USMC and Artist at Large</div><div>Semper Fidelis</div>

Bills and food help for disabled veteran

<p>Update: PLEASE read updates to this fundraiser, to see the new info on Quinn's treatment and care, as to why the goal has been raised! New care plan, doctor and we hope, prognosis.
</p>

<p>Share if you can, help if you can. More info soon. <br />____<br /><br />Quinn Yarbrough (aka Ghost Dancer) has been diagnosed with a stage 4 inoperable cancer in his neck. This tumor has encased his left carotid and vertebral arteries feeding parts of his shoulder and his spine.<br /><br />Quinn needs financial help to manage his current condition and to get him through whatever's next for him. Sadly, he has been told he has about 6 to 9 months to live. This is a diagnosis offered from allopathic doctors at top teaching universities. His friends want him to be comfortable and to have further options available through this hard time.<br /><br />Quinn’s spirit and giving soul ran deep in the DPW and at Burning Man for 9 years. In 2004 Quinn was hired as The Construction Foreman to develop the Burning Man Ranch and joined Burning Man’s Department of Public Works’ circle in 2005 when he became Special Projects Manager. Later that same year his leadership and talent was noted, and he was promoted to Ranch Manager. In 2007, Quinn joined the Senior Staff and the DPW Council, and was then promoted to Nevada Properties Manager becoming the resident caretaker for all of Burning Mans various properties in Gerlach and at the Ranch until 2013.<br /><br />

It was with nothing more than a shrug that Quinn took on the unenviable task of organizing and rebuilding the wreckage junkyard that was The Ranch. To the amazement of all, finally there was a place for everything, and everything was in its place.<br /><br />In the course of Quinn’s efforts, he assembled a trusted and loyal team, and some remain his truest friends to this day. His secret? He worked his ass off, and he took care of his crew. He took at face value the “W” part of BRC-DPW; Work. His energy was hard to keep up with, but it set a tone of accomplishment that still holds today at the crucial facility that supports many vital parts of the Burning Man Project. His mark prevails.<br /><br />Nobody should have to work this hard to rest and receive palliative care. 100% of funds go directly to Quinn’s support in his next steps. He is in a tremendous amount of pain, and needs to afford the palliative care that can bring him comfort during this moment, as soon as possible. Let’s help him. Everything helps, and if you know him through other circles, we hope you will share as far and wide as possible to others who know him.

<div>So my current Room mate started moving out and says he'll be out by tomorrow. Which I'm glad(He's a nutter with major issues) but with no notice now I have to pay the full rent and bills which I can't afford. This $1k will cover that...I'll have to go without food and stuff this month but if I can raise this fast I won't be homeless. Of course I will have to find a new room mate by February. Please share this on social media as I can't. If I can't raise this in 5 days or so my chances of becoming homeless increases quickly. Thanks for the support.

Otto's room mate bailed without paying rent

<p>Hey everyone,
</p>
<p> This GoFundMe is to help pay my bills, get food and meds. As you may know the VA doesn't give me enough to live on. The last administration "lost" my last three claims. I hope to resolve that this summer so I no longer have to ask for help. But until then I rely on you, my friends to survive. I appreciate everything sent as i know times are tough for everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Help Otto keep the lights on and food help.

So I'm out of food and money and bills are coming in. I'm a disabled Veteran and retired Artist on a fixed income and the prices of everything have soared over the last year. I could use some help for food and bills. I really hate asking for help but without it I'll starve and go homeless. Thanks to all that help.

Help Otto eat and pay bills

For anyone who goes to Burning Man, you know this mans work.  When you are stumbling home, his works guides you home.  His is the light that never stops shining at Burning Man until the Man burns.  This is Smoke Daddy, the Man’s tailor, the neon artist who dresses the Man year after year.  We have all basked to the glow if his work and been changed by it.   He has dressed the Man for more than 20 years.  He needs your help.<br /><br />For all who know Smoke Daddy, Nick Radell, he’s one of those people.  You'll never forget him, there’s always a story to tell.  Nick needs your help.  He has suffered an accident that puts his career at risk, carpenters need all ten.  He just removed two fingers in a work related accident.  Like so many artists, he has no medical insurance and this will make his work life incredibly difficult.  I have no idea how expensive his medical treatment will be.  He’s still doped up.  But he will need your help, now and in the future.  This will be an ongoing campaign and I will adjust the goal when more is known.  <br /><br />He’d never do this on his own.  He’d just try to forge ahead.  But this is too big an obstacle to face alone.  Besides, he really is a “respected community elder”.

Up for Smoke

So the Holidays and Baconfest are coming up and even with the help I've received I keep going broke as everything is getting expensive and I'm on a fixed Income. Pretty soon the Holidays will be upon us and everyone will be broke so I'm trying to raise funds to survive this period...get ahead of the game so to speak.  Also Baconfest is around the corner and it takes a lot of my funds too. I've been scraping by (with your help) for months...nothing extra...no fun nights out or entertainment but I have to eat and pay bills. I have another claim in the VA but this year the Trump administration threw out 300,000 VA claims including mine without even reading them...so I have little hope of an upgrade even though I'm still trying. So I'm asking for help again now before we are all swamped by the Holidays. I served this country with honor and the world with my art and still try to help were I can. I hate to have to beg like this but that's the position the US government has put me in so I have too. Please send what you can. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.<br /><br />Otto Von danger<br />SGT USMC and Artist at Large<br />Semper Fidelis

Bills & Food security to get through the holidays

<strong>Hey folks. Sadly I have to ask for help again. As you know I'm a disabled Veteran that lives a fixed income in the Bay Area which is very expensive. And it's hard for me to ask for help directly but I have to do it in order to survive these days.So here I am asking for your help again. My clothing and bedding are literaly falling apart at the seams. My fridge is almost empty....I can't even afford soap. I know everyone is hurting these days but if you can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.<br /></strong>-Otto Von Danger<br />SGT/USMC and Artist at Large<br />Semper Fidelis

Quality of life

Recently I was involved in a very serious car accident. Due to my head injuries, I can not remember the minutes leading up to the crash or the terrifying moments afterward when I was extracted from the car. I remember driving down I-80, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in a hospital with a tube down my throat. Thankfully, I managed to not injure anyone else in the accident, but I was left with multiple fractures and lesions. My clavicle was broken in four places and three of my ribs were fractured along with the femur on my left leg. <br />The most signficant and painful of my injuries are the breaks in my pelvis. My sacrum was shattered and I have multiple fractures in either hip. Because the injuries in my pelvis, I will be uable to walk for six to eight weeks. Once I have passed that barrier, I can begin physical therapy in hopes of regaining my basic motor functions. The doctors have told me it could be six months to a year before I make a full recovery. Until that time, I have to rely on others to perform even basic tasks for me, which has been a humbling experience and a lesson in asking for and accepting help.<br />Which is why I decided to do this. For the next few months, it will be very difficult to earn enough money to pay for my bills and medical expenses. I would so appreciate the ability to just focus on healing and to not have to compromise on the medical care I recieve due to cost. I know that there is a long road ahead of me and that nothing is going to make it easy, but with your help I think I could come out of this not only fully recovered, but in the best shape, physically and mentally, that I have ever been in.<br />I plan to use this money to make copays, continue to pay for my health insurance, pay my phone bill and pay for medications over the next few months while I am recovering.
