<div>This week, many of our Southern California communities were impacted by the harsh Santa Ana winds. The devastation ranged from thousands fleeing fires to thousands left without power for many days. I have lived in Idyllwild for 17 years, and I know that in our small mountain town, we are no strangers to power outages or fires. Though many of us fared far better than some during this wind event, at least three families in our community lost their homes when Tuesday night's fierce wind gusts felled a massive tree. One of these families was mine: my mother, sister, and nephew. Both my mother and sister are active members of our community, and my nephew is only 11. Miraculously, while awake in bed listening to the wind, they were unharmed. In a single moment, they lost everything when the tree split their house in two while they were still inside. They escaped through windows and have been able to stay with friends temporarily. But their world has been turned upside down.

<div>It's resulted in loss of income from the time needed to take off work and school to recover what possessions survived the destruction. And they are in limbo as to where they will live now that they have lost their home. I'm starting this GoFundMe in the hopes that those who can will help them in their hour of need. 100% of the funds will go to them and be used to replace necessities lost in the damage. They will be used to pay for temporary housing and the cost of living while they rebuild. Thank you for your support.

Family Lost Home to Winds: Your Help Needed

<div>My name is Moriah and I am Tawny's sister. We are setting up this account to help her and her 3 children. On Nov. 15th Tawny suffered a terrible accident placing her in critical condition. Tawny is currently hospitalized and in ICU. She is in need of support from all those that love and care for her. This is the only gofundme page for her where people may support her by sending messages, thoughts, or financial support whether it be $1 or anything you feel lead to give and are able. ALL monies collected will go to caring for her children, Kilo, Mecino, and Poppy until she is able to. Support Tawny's Fight for Her Life and Healing

<div>Hello Idyllwild! My name is Jen, and I am Mike's friend and the voice on the other end of the phone when you call the office. On Thursday April 11th Mike's truck was broken into, the criminals managed to break the lock and they stole his Packout (toolbox) with all of his tools, not to mention his livelihood.

<div>For those who know Mike, know he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He has always put his customers and the people of this community first in the most honest and trustworthy way possible. He now needs our help!

<div>The tools that were taken, most of which were specialty tools that are specifically used for appliance repair, heater repair, water heater repair, and so much more, desperately need to be replaced so that he can continue to help his customers, support his family, and keep his business going. He is doing the best he can with what he has, and thanks to the generosity of his friends who have lent him some of their tools, but there are so much more that are needed. Each job required specific tools, and without them he is in limbo. Please, if you can help, I know he would be so grateful. Every little bit counts and all funds raised will be used to replace what was taken.

<div>We are creating this account to help Sterling Dutton through the rehabilitation process of his recent RRMS diagnosis. Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis is a degenerative disease that attacks the nervous system, affecting both your brain and body, and has no cure. This diagnosis is life altering for Sterling and his family, and he will need help finding and receiving cognitive and physical therapies. He also had to close his business, as he is unable to do this kind of work any longer. He will need help with his rent and bills, while he heals and figures out what his next chapter looks like. Help Sterling Rehabilitate from MS

Amy and Ryan have the biggest hearts of anyone I know. They give so much, and now they need our help. On Wednesday, July 9th, while on The Gift of Good Tour (<a href="http://www.hippilongstockings.com/pages/gift-of-good-tour"><a href="http://www.hippilongstockings.com/pages/gift-of-good-tour" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">http://www.hippilongstockings.com/pages/gift-of-good-tour</a></a>), the family pulled up to a camp site in Myrtle Beach when Nova stepped into a firepit on the site that was supposed to have been vacant for days. She was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital and they were supposed to be life flighted to Augusta, GA so she does not lose her foot.
