She learned to sew, she learned history, and most importantly, she became an aficionado of fashion. <div>With Covid and chronic illness having taken away many of her photography opportunities, she turned to her favorite hobby, sewing, and quickly became obsessed. Not just with the fashions, but the lifestyles and history of the periods she obsessed over. She then started researching art fellowships and residencies and was accepted. She was offered a spot in the artists' residency program at the <a href="https://www.chateauorquevaux.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong><em>Chateau D'Orquevaux</em></strong></a> for <strong><em>January 15th-28th 2025</em></strong>. (or 1/31-2/13)

<div>As a dutiful husband, I do everything in my power to take care of and love my wife in the way that she deserves. If a mere snap of my fingers could send her to France for this residency, I would. However, after multiple major house issues back to back, each one being way worse than the last, I am unable to do so. My wife is truly a wonderful person, and I want to see her happy grow in doing what she loves. This is why I created this page for her, in hopes that we can raise the funds, and send her on this amazing opportunity. For as much as she deals with imposter syndrome, and believes that she is not good enough amongst others, the universe, myself, and so many other people think otherwise. This is a once-in-a-chance lifetime for her.

<div>Being that she sat on this information for a few days, means that this is now in a time crunch. So here is how the funds would be used.

<div>1- The first goal is to get the deposit amount of <strong><em>$1,400.44</em></strong> no later than 2/19 (they informed her that they can extend it though) This guarantees her spot in the. residency. This amount is fully refundable if the goal for the second payment of $1252.01 which is due by 3/5 is not met, and not paid. So if the first goal is not hit, then you will be refunded your donation.

<div>2- From there, if we can hit the 2nd goal of <strong><em>$1252.01</em></strong> by 3/5 and <strong><em>$1254.86</em></strong> by 6/5. If we are unable to reach the goal for the 2-week residency in January, there are still other dates that she can attend. So let's raise this money!

I am so so very grateful for everyone who helped. But I am still struggling.

I have severe difficulty breathing, I’m exhausted all the time, my muscles are in severe pain, and my skin feels like glass. These are just a few of the many and varied symptoms that plague me. Help me cover two months of unpaid FMLA

On August 31st, a peaceful protest in Washington, DC, was violently razed by the police. A group of no more than 100 demonstrators were met with rubber bullets, tear gas, and a crowd control tactic that remains in a gray area of the law, called kettling. <br /><br />Kettling not only criminalizes the first amendment, but jeopardizes the financial stability of citizens guilty of nothing other than practicing their constitutionally guaranteed rights. This practice almost always ends in the arrests of parties unrelated to the alleged crimes committed. <br /><br />Aye, a queer, non-binary activist was arrested along with 13 other demonstrators and held overnight on a controversial "felony riot" charge. Everyone was "no papered", or released without charges the next day. <br /><br />On September 9th, the US Marshals showed up to Aye's apartment in Baltimore to serve an arrest warrant for "inciting a riot" &amp; "assault on an officer". The Marshals remained on the premises until a search warrant was approved and proceeded to tear apart the apartment Aye shares with their partner and roommate. They even helped themselves to $50 in laundry quarters. <br /><br />On September 10th at 4:00am, Aye turned themselves in and the charges have since been dropped.<br /><br />Then again on September 26th, law enforcement showed up with arrest warrants, this time for all three tenants. A case is being built on outlandish accusations against Aye and the people they live with, for being violent drug dealers with middle school clientele. <br /><br />The <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-28/in-baltimore-corrupt-police-show-limits-of-reform" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">infamous</a> Baltimore Police Department is <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/15th-baltimore-officer-charged-in-connection-to-corruption-scandal/2020/04/19/572a68aa-8022-11ea-9040-68981f488eed_story.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">no stranger</a> to <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/at-least-20-baltimore-police-officers-arrested-sentenced-or-suspended-during-departments-ugly-2019/2019/12/27/fb7e6938-2122-11ea-86f3-3b5019d451db_story.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">corruption. </a><br /><br />Aye is two weeks away from a court hearing that, if penalized to the full extent of the 13 charges they’re facing, could put them away for more than 170 years-- without a lawyer.  <br /><br />Oh, and their landlord has terminated their lease. <br /><br />Please, find it somewhere in your heart to donate and share Aye's story. Falsley Accused Protestor Facing Life in Prison

<p>His co-workers did everything right. The EMTs and staff at the hospital did everything they could, but it was his time to be called forward.
</p>

<p>Family and friends have been notified as best I/we were able, but he was so very loved and I am truly sorry for anyone hearing this heavy news for the first time from me.
</p>

<p>Hold your people when you can. Tell your friends you love them with reckless abandon.
</p>

<p>Chris was taken from us much too soon, leaving Samm and two beautiful children. <br /><br />A little about the team, Sinn, Tricia and Hilary have known Samm and Chris for years from various activities including Pennsic, Burns and just being a wonderful human being.  While Hilary lives far away in Mass, Sinn and Tricia are right there with Samm right now. Putting this fundraiser together is our way of taking some of the burden off of Samm's shoulders so she can just grieve. All the funds will go straight to Samm and the two little ones. <p>Our names are Genesa &amp; Brian Boosz and the Lloyd's are our family's best friends, (Amanda, Steven &amp; Maddux.) They are also incredibly talented and well respected Wedding Photographers in the Greater Seattle area.<br /><br /></p>
<p>Today, while at their 32 week OB/GYN appointment, they learned that their son, Cooper Ray, had passed away sometime in the past 24 hours. Baby Cooper was expected to be making his arrival in April. <br /><br />We've created this account to raise money to help with all the immediate costs that Amanda &amp; Steven are going to endure in the next coming weeks.  All their resources were put towards a new home they just purchased and are supposed to be moving into in less than 2 weeks time. Needless to say, funeral expenses were the last thing they had planned to save money for.<br /><br />The Lloyd's are truly the most kind and loving family. So full of life and passion. Noraye age 2  and her parents Eliscia Jordan and Aaron Gardiner were on their way home from a family outing when they were involved in a fatal car accident, they were hit by a drunk driver going 91 mph in a 25 mph zone which ended with both of her parents losing their lives instantly and leaving Noraye with a concussion, a broken leg and scared.  When the drunk driver hit them he was still going 81mph. Since then her grandmother has done a very great job trying to cope with the loss of Eliscia,  her only child while raising and teaching her only granddaughter to adapt to life after the death of both her parents.Those who have kept us with know Noraye is now 3 years old. She is the spitting image of her mother and thanks to her grandmother homeschooling her for more than a year, Noraye is smarter than most 5 year olds.  Now it is time for Noraye to start school so she cannot only learn even more new things, she also needs to get the chance to learn how to socialize and meet new children her age.   The healing has begun both physically and mentally but Noray and our family still have a long way to go.We asking for donations towards Noraye's future to help with school, day to day cost of raising her and just securing her future. any amount helps. Many of you who have known me over the years, have asked if I was in business as an artist / designer. And until now I have demurred, but this winter a friend offered me an opportunity I could not pass up, to design a Steampunk themed collection of clothes for a fashion show this spring. So I am taking the plunge and opening the doors and hanging a shingle for Ruff Attire, a historically influenced & aching house that will sell a stock set of designs which also taking custom orders for both men’s and women’s clothing and hats. But to accomplish this task I need your help. I have worked on a single sewing machine and used a 1969 size 10 dress maker's form for several decades now, and it's time to upgrade and acquire a few tailors forms and new millinery supplies and stock fabrics to work with, as well as create a website and order forms and templates. August 24, 2012 drastically changed my life. What happened that evening has left David in a vegetative coma and my desperation to save my son's life and future. David was pistol whipped, his jaw broken and his unconscious body robbed. Though David regained consciousness, he was incoherent and rushed by ambulance to UMDNJ trauma center in Newark, New Jersey. It was there that he underwent emergency craniotomy surgery to alleviate the pressure from his swelling brain. He is currently living in a sub-acute unit at a nursing home being fed via a gastric feeding tube. He is no longer entitled to physical therapy because he has shown no signs of progress. This means each day he lies in bed approximately 19 hours and sits in a wheelchair for 5 hours with no physical stimulation aside from being dressed. The importance behind physical therapy is that it will help him maintain his muscles and joints; to achieve his goal to attain flexibility, balance and coordination free from pain or suffering, so that he may lead a normal life again; performing all of his daily activities with minimal or no difficulty and without dependency. With prolonged treatment, it is possible for him to regain a large share, if not all of his mobility and it will improve his overall fitness and health. David's survival depends on continued physical and mental stimulation therapies which most insurances are not willing to fund long term. The lack of such treatment poses a direct threat to David's ability to return to a life that extend beyond sitting in front of a television for hours on end in a nursing home. He deserves better. His recovery is destined to be a long and arduous one, with no guarantees. But in order for him to have that chance, he needs, aside from a miracle, funds for aggressive physical therapy, a private neurologist and a specially designed vehicle for me to accommodate his wheel chair. Please join my family in our fight to get David the extensive physical and medical treatment he needs. The amount we are now trying to raise is just the beginning for David and we could use your support.
