<div>Hello, my name is Maria De Jesus, age 58, and I’m a wife of 41 years together with my wonderful husband, Pastor Freddy Martir, mother to three beautiful children, and Pastor for 13 years at Iglesia Pentecostal Rescatando Almas Para Cristo in Sanford, Florida.

<div>In 2020, I was rushed to Advent Health in Apopka, Florida, feeling extremely ill. I was diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home. But my condition quickly worsened — I developed a high fever and could no longer breathe. Three days later, I returned to the hospital… and that’s the last thing I remember.

<div>I was placed in a medically induced coma and transferred to Advent Health in Orlando. I was intubated, connected to an ECMO machine, and given little chance of survival. My family was told to say goodbye. But my daughter Leslie, my husband Freddy, and many faithful friends and loved ones refused to give up. They united in prayer, and my husband even went live online to pray for me — and for others also fighting for their lives.

<div>Against all odds, after <strong>41 days in a coma</strong>, I woke up — <strong>alive</strong>. I had survived COVID-19, respiratory failure, multiple organ shutdown, and even convulsions that occurred while I was hospitalized and in recovery. My memory was deeply affected, and my body was weak, but by the <strong>grace of God</strong>, I returned home to my family.

<div>Today, I’m still facing ongoing health challenges: lupus, heart disease, COPD, and recently, I was diagnosed with lung nodules and “ground glass” in my lungs. On top of that, due to the intubation, convulsions, and complications, my front teeth became loose — and during a seizure episode, I fell and lost one completely. This has impacted not only my confidence, but also my ability to speak and smile freely as I minister to others.

<div>The dental work required to restore my smile and prevent further bone loss is urgent and is estimated at <strong>$6,000</strong>. I’ve already exhausted so much financially due to years of medical care, and I humbly ask for any donation you can give from the heart. <strong>No amount is too small.</strong>
