<div>Kham and Xong have been married for over a decade and have 7 children. Their world fell apart in 2017 when Kham found out he had kidney failure. Kham had to leave his job shortly after dialysis treatment was required weekly. Xong became the sole provider for her family of 9.

<div>On Friday, July 18, 2025, a life-changing call was received, marking 8 years since Kham was placed on the kidney transplant waitlist. <strong>A kidney match for Kham was found, and the surgery was scheduled for the morning of Saturday, July 19, 2025.</strong> We are all so happy and overjoyed with the news that is giving hope to Xong and her children. On Sunday, July 20th, I was able to visit Kham and Xong at the hospital. The kidney transplant went well, and Kham is recovering from it.

<div>Kham's kidney transplant and recovery will require intensive care and support. It'll require Xong to be absent from work as a self-employed nail tech for about 4 weeks to care for her husband. This will result in a loss of income during this time.

<div><strong>This financial burden will make it difficult for Xong's family to meet daily living expenses, that's the reason why I am seeking financial support from all of you.</strong> Any amount is appreciated. Please help me share their story.

<div>Hi,  my name is Alanna Spanjers, and my brother-in-law Xay Lo went in for a routine surgery on March 27th, the day after his birthday. Unfortunately,  he went into cardiac arrest, and after 45 minutes, was revived. During this, numerous ribs were broken and he is in tremendous pain. Xay will remain in the hospital for an unknown amount of time. He is an amazing single dad to his 13 year old son, and he doesn't like asking anyone for anything. ❤️ He works hard at his job and will be unable to do so for some time now. I was worried sick but also thinking “he’ll be ok he’s my tough lil giant”. But now he’s gone forever due to stupid heartless people. I can go on and on about how angry I am at the people who took his life but that’s not going to help bring him back instead I want to look on the bright side and imagine my little giant in God’s lap in heaven smiling and drooling like the last time I saw him.<br /><br />In a blink of an eye tragedy hit my family so HARD it’s still so surreal to the entire family. Last year around this time we were gathering and eating so much celebrating the holidays. Christmas and NY’s will never be the same again that’s for sure. How could any human being ever forget anyone who once existed in their life and then taken away so tragically? No parent should or deserves to bury their child this way. I still can’t believe this time it’s us.<br /><br />I’m setting up this fund to help raise “any amount” ASAP because we don’t want baby Bill just sitting there at the hospital/morgue we want to put him to rest ASAP. What happened to him is already more than enough we don’t want to keep him waiting. The funeral is planned for this upcoming Friday Jan. the 2nd if all goes as planned.<br /><br /> I put $5000 down as the limit but that’s just a number were not asking for much the family will take whatever at this time to help with any funeral cost. We know there are generous people out there minus the heartless ones.
