<div>Tio is so much more than a pet to her — he is her emotional support, her comfort during anxiety, and her constant companion through everything. He is truly her safe place.

<div>Tio is only 2 years old. He’s a loving, joyful French Bulldog who brings happiness to everyone around him. He’s not just a dog — he’s her baby, her family, her whole heart.

<div>A few days ago, everything changed.
</div>

</div>
<div>Tio suddenly became very lethargic, which is completely unlike him. We rushed to the vet, where they ran blood tests and X-rays, but everything came back normal. Despite this, Tio still wasn’t himself, so we went straight to the emergency clinic.
</div>

</div>
<div>At first, vets feared something serious like meningitis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The next day, Tio saw a neurologist. There was a possibility it could be a herniated disc… but this morning, Tio started having seizures — and everything changed again.
</div>

</div>
<div>Now, the vets believe Tio may be suffering from meningitis, a life-threatening condition affecting the brain and spinal cord.
</div>

</div>
<div>To confirm the diagnosis and begin treatment, Tio urgently needs:
</div>
<div>• An MRI
</div>
<div>• 24-hour hospitalization
</div>
<div>• Specialized care and medication
</div>

</div>
<div>The costs are overwhelming.
</div>

</div>
<div>So far:

<div>• $1,500 has already been paid for emergency visits and tests
</div>
<div>• $4,000 has been paid upfront for the MRI (about 75% of the total)

<div>But we are still missing $3,000, which must be paid to continue his care.

<div>We are doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone.

<div>Tio is her everything. He is her daily joy, her comfort, her little shadow. He is always happy, full of love, and gentle with everyone — humans and dogs alike. Anyone who meets him falls in love with him.

<div>Tio est soudainement devenu très léthargique, ce qui n’est pas du tout dans son comportement. Nous sommes allés chez le vétérinaire pour des prises de sang et des radiographies, mais tout est revenu normal. Malgré cela, Tio n’allait toujours pas bien, alors nous sommes allés en urgence.

<div>Au départ, les vétérinaires soupçonnaient quelque chose de grave comme une méningite.

<div>Le lendemain, Tio a vu un neurologue. Une hernie discale était possible… mais ce matin, Tio a fait des crises, et tout a encore changé.

</div>
<div>Aujourd’hui, les vétérinaires pensent que Tio pourrait souffrir de méningite, une maladie grave et potentiellement mortelle qui affecte le cerveau et la moelle épinière.
</div>

<div>Pour confirmer le diagnostic et commencer le traitement, Tio a besoin en urgence de :

</div>
<div>• Une hospitalisation 24 heures
</div>
<div>• Des soins spécialisés et des médicaments

<div>Bonjour, je m’appelle Yacine Eldjidel et j’organise cette collecte de fonds au nom de notre famille en deuil, suite à la perte soudaine et bouleversante de ma mère, Marnelle Joseph, décédée le dimanche 20 juillet à l’hôpital Santa Cabrini.

<div>Ma mère avait un cœur immense et un esprit généreux. Elle pensait toujours aux autres avant elle-même. C’était le genre de personne qui souriait malgré la douleur et qui vous disait qu’elle allait “bien”, même quand ce n’était pas le cas. C’est comme ça que je me souviens d’elle : douce, aimante et forte. Ces dernières années, elle a dû faire face à plusieurs problèmes de santé, dont beaucoup qu’elle gardait pour elle. En 2023, elle a survécu à un AVC qui s’est produit alors qu’elle était dans un autobus. Par chance, elle s’en est remise, mais nous avons plus tard appris qu’elle souffrait aussi en silence de problèmes de thyroïde. Elle en parlait très peu, et aucun de nous ne savait à quel point c’était sérieux. Sa mort a été un véritable choc, d’autant plus que je l’avais vue une semaine avant son décès.

<div>Ce moment est particulièrement difficile pour moi, car je n’ai pas eu l’occasion de lui dire un vrai au revoir. L’annonce soudaine de son départ a bouleversé nos vies. Elle laisse derrière elle ses trois enfants, âgés de 17 à 26 ans, ainsi que ses frères et sa sœur. En écrivant ces lignes, nous essayons tous de comprendre et d’accepter cette perte inimaginable. La vie sans elle semble être un défi en soi, mais nous faisons de notre mieux pour rester forts — car au fond, je sais que c’est ce qu’elle aurait voulu.

<div>Malheureusement, en raison de la nature inattendue de son décès, aucune disposition préalable n’avait été prise pour couvrir les frais funéraires et les services commémoratifs. Je suis actuellement aux études, donc mon budget est très limité, tout comme celui de ma famille. Pourtant, je souhaite de tout cœur lui rendre hommage de la manière la plus digne possible. C’est pourquoi je me tourne vers vous aujourd’hui — une démarche que ma mère aurait rarement faite, mais que nous devons faire maintenant pour lui offrir l’adieu qu’elle mérite.

<div>My mom had a truly kind and generous spirit, always putting others before herself. She was the kind of person who would smile through the pain and tell you she was “alright” even when she wasn’t. That’s how I remember her: gentle, loving, and strong. In recent years, she faced many health battles, most of which she kept to herself. In 2023, she survived a stroke that occurred while she was on a bus. By chance, she recovered, but later we learned that she had been quietly struggling with thyroid problems as well. She rarely spoke about her condition, and none of us knew just how serious it was. Her passing came as a devastating shock, especially since I had seen her just one week before it happened.

<div>This moment is particularly hard for me because I never had the chance to say a proper goodbye. The suddenness of this news has profoundly affected all our lives. She leaves behind her three children, aged 17 to 26, as well as her brothers and sister. As I write this, we are all trying to come to terms with this unimaginable loss. Life without her feels like a challenge in itself, but we are doing our best to stay strong because I know that deep down, that is what she would have wanted us to do.

<div>Sadly, due to the unexpected nature of her passing, there were no prior arrangements made to cover her funeral costs and memorial services. I am currently in school, so my budget is quite limited, as is the budget of my family. However, I really want to honour her memory in the best way possible. That is why I am asking for help here today - something my mom rarely did, but something we now deeply need to ensure she receives the dignified farewell she deserves.
