<div>In late November of 2023, my partner Jordan Sauceda, who is only 22 years old, was diagnosed with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a blood cancer. Never in a million years would we have thought that this would happen to us. Nothing in life prepares you to hear that your loved one has cancer. Jordan has been an amazing young father to our four-year-old daughter Ava since day one. He is such a selfless, hardworking, humble, supportive and loving individual, who’ve I had the honor to be with since we were 16 and 17. It’s still a struggle for me accepting that this is happening to him, the love of my life. We trust God, however. We firmly believe this will be apart of Jordan’s testimony, that he will get through this and that we will grow old together!

<div>We have spent many weeks getting treatment away from home and our daughter Ava since his diagnosis. I’ve been with him every single day and night at the hospital for chemotherapy treatment, to remind him that he’s not alone. His fight is our fight. I’ve had to learn how to be a nurse when we are allowed to be home. We acknowledge we have a journey ahead of us. The goal for Jordan is to get a bone marrow transplant in the future. On top of our monthly expenses, medical bills and travel costs are mounting. We humbly ask for your help with these costs, but more than a donation, we ask for everyone’s prayers.

<div>When we started treatment in late November, right off the bat, the doctor told us that Jordan could be infertile after all of this was over. I was distraught. I cried countless of times. We had always said that we would give Ava at least one other sibling when the time was right, in a few years. It felt like another big hit to our family to hear these words come out of the doctor’s mouth. Little did we know that a week into Jordan’s treatment we would find out that we were already expecting baby #2 all along and most recently we found out that it’s a boy! This news has brought us, his family, and my family something to look forward to, it’s given us strength. It’s a blessing for sure and a reminder that if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.
