<div>Decisions about our communities are still being made without people like me at the table – and I’m ready to change that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I grew up below the poverty line in Northern California, where strong public schools and social safety nets made my future possible. I became the first in my family to attend college, earning degrees from UC Berkeley and UC San Diego.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My career took me from California classrooms to U.S. embassies across four continents, eventually serving as a Foreign Service Officer with USAID, where I worked to expand economic opportunity and strengthen democratic institutions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last year, everything changed. When USAID was shut down and its staff laid off, my career in public service ended overnight. It was disorienting and difficult, but it also made something clear:<strong> it’s time to come home and serve the communities that shaped me</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m honored to have been selected for the <a href="https://lbjwcs.lbj.utexas.edu/lbj-womens-campaign-school-2026" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>LBJ Women's Campaign School</strong></a>, a nationally recognized, nonpartisan program that trains women to run for office and win. From May through November 2026, I’ll gain the practical skills, mentorship, and network needed to step into leadership.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a first-generation college graduate and a Latina, I’ve spent my career in rooms that rarely reflected my background. Those experiences don’t just shape who I am – they shape how I’ll lead. My goal is to run for local office in Northern California, advocating for working families and communities like the one I grew up in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve worked hard to make this opportunity affordable: I received a partial scholarship, my flights are covered, and I’ll be staying with a friend. I’m seeking support to cover the remaining $1,740:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Tuition balance — $1,100
</li>
<li>Car rental — $300
</li>
<li>Meals — $200
</li>
<li>Parking — $75
</li>
<li>Transaction fees — $65
</li>
</ul>
<div>My fundraising deadline is May 8, 2026.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to contribute, thank you. And if not, sharing this campaign would mean just as much. Your support helps bring more voices like mine into public leadership.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m deeply grateful to have you as part of this next chapter.

Help Lola Attend LBJ Women’s Campaign School

<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted into the 7th cohort of the Lyndon B. Johnson Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas at Austin, one of the nation’s most competitive leadership programs for women in politics.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a child, I checked out the same book about Dr. Martin Luther King, and it taught me two truths: leadership is service, and education opens doors. Those lessons have guided my life and my work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My "why" is rooted in deep personal experience, having observed my mother’s resilience while raising me at the young age of 14, as well as witnessing my father’s struggles with addiction and mental health challenges. These experiences have taught me important lessons about unconditional love, empathy, and compassion while also highlighting the importance of improving support systems for children and families like mine.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the next few months, I will complete an intensive, hands-on curriculum in campaign strategy, fundraising, communications, voter outreach, compliance, and leadership. Taught by seasoned campaign professionals, elected officials, and media experts, the LBJ Women’s Campaign School provides practical tools, a campaign-ready plan, and access to a powerful mentorship and alumni network that helps women launch campaigns and step into leadership.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I’m ready to scale my impact and turn lived experience and proven program leadership into policy and systems change that expand access to education, mental health, and family supports across our community.</strong> Your support will fund my attendance at LBJ Women’s Campaign School and equip me with the skills and network to fight for those changes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I’m currently working to raise $2200 to help cover tuition and related expenses.</strong> <strong>Please consider donating any amount and sharing my fundraiser as my work today, tomorrow, and in the future will always be to "Transform Lives and Strengthen Our Communities."</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>

Support My Journey in the LBJ Women's Campaign School

<div><strong>From Grassroots Service to Greater Impact.</strong>
</div>
<div>— Will you help me with this next chapter?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dear Friends,
</div>
<div>After more than a decade of serving communities through grassroots organizing, nonprofit leadership, and civic engagement across multiple states, I’m honored and deeply grateful to share that I’ve been accepted into the LBJ Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas! This prestigious, nonpartisan leadership program
</div>
<div>equips women with the skills and confidence to run campaigns, serve in public office, and strengthen civic participation in their communities.
</div>
<div>This program offers comprehensive campaign training across more than 20 essential topics, complemented by opening and closing ceremonies, a campaign competition, mentorship, intensive virtual training, and hands-on experiences that prepare participants for public service.
</div>
<div>My guiding philosophy is simple: <strong>Serve to Lead</strong>. With your help, I can learn how to expand my impact, and continue to advocate for stronger communities and greater civic engagement for our future generations.
</div>
<div>While I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity, tuition, travel, and lodging expenses present a real financial challenge. I’m thankful to have some expenses covered but, I still have a way to go. How can you help me as I take this next step in my leadership journey?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will be in Austin, Texas for three days from May 13 - May 15 2026
</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>Tuition</strong>: $1,050.00
</li>
<li> <strong>Lodging</strong>: Might you help me pay for my hotel? I’ll be in Austin for three nights, and it costs $192.78 each day.
</li>
<li><strong>Food</strong>: Might you help me buy a meal? A donation of $25, $35 or $40 will help cover the costs.
</li>
<li><strong>Transportation</strong>: Uber transfers for 3 days: $30
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution—no matter the size—helps me take this step forward. Just as meaningful is knowing I have people like you walking alongside me as I do.
</div>
<div>Thank you for being in my life, for believing in me, and for the many ways you’ve already shaped the path that brought me here. I carry that with me into this next chapter.
</div>
<div>With Gratitude,
</div>
<div>Kathy

From Grassroots Service to Greater Impact LBJ-WCS 2026

<div><strong>I’ve spent 20 years supporting students impacted by policy. Now I have been selected to help shape it. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hola Everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am honored to share that I have been selected for the LBJ Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas at Austin. This is a program that prepares women to step into leadership roles and shape public policy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For nearly 20 years, I have worked in education, supporting students who are too often overlooked by the systems meant to serve them. I see firsthand every day how policy decisions directly impact student behavior, access, and opportunity, especially for Black and Brown students in underserved communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I think back to a student who was constantly being removed from class for his behavior. What I saw was not defiance, but a lack of support. No access to counseling, inconsistent interventions, and policies that focused more on punishment than understanding. That experience has stayed with me. It’s one of the reasons I am pursuing this work, because students like him deserve to be in schools that have systems that support students, not push them out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This program is more than a professional opportunity for me. It is a step toward being in the rooms where decisions are made, where I can advocate for policies to create a real, lasting change for the students and families I serve.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have received a $1,000 scholarship, and my flight is covered, but I still need to raise $2,000 to cover the remaining costs of tuition, lodging, and meals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking for support in small amounts. If enough people give $15-$25, this goal becomes possible. Every contribution is not just helping me attend this program; it is an investment in stronger advocacy, better policy, and more equitable outcomes for our children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to give or share, I would be deeply grateful. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
</div>

Help me shape better policies for our students.

My path to leadership has been shaped by failure, pain, and the kind of lessons that only come from pushing through barriers that were never designed for me. As an immigrant who grew up in the United States, I’ve lived at the intersection of cultures, expectations, and identities. That experience gave me a unique lens — one that allows me to understand and speak for communities across this nation who often feel unseen or unheard. Growing up, I learned early that opportunity isn’t always given. Sometimes you have to build it. Sometimes you have to fight for it. And sometimes you have to become it. Through every setback, I found a deeper sense of purpose. Through every challenge, I discovered a clearer vision: to help build a better, more sustainable future for others. A future where communities aren’t isolated from one another but connected, empowered, and united. I overcame my own barriers by joining forces with others — by building strong alliances, by listening, by showing up, and by working alongside people who believe in a more inclusive and equitable democracy. Those relationships, those shared struggles, and those collective victories are what shaped me into the leader I am becoming. That is why the LBJ Women’s Campaign School means so much to me. It represents the next step in a journey that began long before I ever imagined myself in spaces like this. It’s an opportunity to sharpen my skills, expand my network, and bring back tools that will help strengthen the communities I serve — especially those who have been historically overlooked. This isn’t just about me. It’s about us. It’s about building bridges, amplifying voices, and creating pathways for the next generation of leaders who look like me, live like me, and dream like me. I’m inviting my village to help me get there. While the program covers a portion of the cost, I am responsible for several remaining expenses. Your support will help cover hotel accommodations, parking, modest food costs, and the remaining tuition balance. Every contribution—big or small—helps me take one step closer to completing this training and bringing these skills home to strengthen our community’s voice in policy spaces. If you’ve ever believed in my work, my leadership, or my commitment to public service, I would be honored to have your support on this journey. If you’re unable to give, sharing this message with someone who may want to support is just as meaningful. Thank you for being part of my story, my growth, and my purpose. I can’t wait to make you proud at the LBJ Women’s Campaign School.

Help Me Attend the LBJ Women’s Campaign School

<div>Hi friends, supporters, and fellow Democrats,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I stepped into the role of Midland County Democratic Party Chair, I knew it was an opportunity to serve something bigger than myself. I’m still learning and growing in this role every day, and I’m committed to building stronger connections and motivating others to get involved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I'm excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the LBJ Women’s Campaign School</strong>, <strong>part of The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin.</strong> This 7-month program, beginning in May, will provide me training in organizing, campaign strategy, and leadership. These skills I'll bring directly back to strengthen our work here in Midland County. This opportunity isn’t just about me; it’s about all of us growing stronger together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I can’t do this alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m asking for your help to raise <strong>$5,500 to cover the full cost of this opportunity:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• $5,000 for tuition (as an elected county chair, I am not eligible for scholarships or grants)
</div>
<div>• $500 for travel, hotel, and meals for the required in-person portion in Austin
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is an investment in our community's organizing and the future of our work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you believe in strengthening our voice and building a more engaged community, this is a meaningful way to help. Every contribution, whether it’s $5, $50, or more, makes a real impact. And if you're unable to give financially, sharing this message is just as valuable.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don’t take your support lightly. Every message, every conversation, and every word of encouragement I’ve received has shaped the leader I’m working to become. I’m grateful for your trust and committed to continuing to show up for this community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I believe in what we’re building together, and I’d be honored to have your support in taking this next step.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating today and being part of this journey with me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude and determination,

Help Me Take This Next Step for Midland County

<div>From the Farm to the Arena — Why I’m Asking for Your Help This Week
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Some stories don’t start in politics. Mine started in the soil. I was raised by parents who dedicated their lives to healthcare, and their parents before them worked the land as farmers. From both, I learned the same lesson: that showing up for your community, whether at a bedside or in a field, is not a career. It’s a calling.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That calling has taken me through many chapters. I’ve worked as a somatic healer, a grief guide, a healthcare navigator, and a facilitator at A Stable Learning, where I use equine-facilitated learning to help people reconnect with themselves and each other. Every role has been rooted in the same belief: that every person deserves to feel seen, supported, and equipped to build the life they’re working toward.
</div>
<div>This week, I am heading to Austin to attend the LBJ Women’s Campaign School — and I need just a little more help to reach my goal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The issues that drive me are not abstract. They are the conversations I have every day with the people I serve. Mental health — because healing is not a luxury, it’s a foundation. Education — because knowledge is the most powerful tool we can put in someone’s hands. Water access — because no community can thrive without the most basic resources to sustain life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I believe, to my core, that every law-abiding, tax-paying person — citizen or working toward citizenship — deserves the freedom to improve their life and the lives of their families. I believe in diversity, in equality, and in the fundamental American promise that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are not privileges reserved for the few.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These are not partisan ideas. They are human ones.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The LBJ Women’s Campaign School is training me to carry these values into the arena — to translate a lifetime of community work into policy, advocacy, and leadership that reflects the people it serves. From the Rio Grande Valley to rooms where decisions are made, I am committed to being a bridge.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am so close to my goal of $2,755. If you’ve ever believed in the work I do, or in the idea that the right people in the right rooms can change things, I would be deeply grateful for your support this week.
</div>
<div>Every dollar is a vote for the kind of leadership that listens first, serves always, and never forgets where it came from.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being part of this story.
</div>

Help me become a Change-Maker

<div>I am returning to UT to finish what I started, driven by a passion to make a meaningful impact on the political landscape in Houston and beyond. Being accepted to the LBJ School of Public Policy Campaign School for Women is a HUGE honor.
</div>
<div>This new chapter is about more than just completing my studies—it's about accessing troves of knowledge, building connections, and gaining the experiences I need to serve my community in powerful ways.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> While I am excited and determined, there are real challenges ahead. Travel expenses and incidental costs are adding up as I participate in this program. These are essential for me to fully engage in my studies and make the most of every opportunity UT has to offer. Your support will help me overcome these obstacles and stay focused on my goals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Your contribution will make a difference in my journey! I can’t do this without you. Thank you for believing in me and being part of this next step. Together, we can create positive change—starting right here, right now.
</div>

Help Diana Return to UT & Make an Impact

<div>Hello Pfriends and Pfamily,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m just going to say it plainly: I’m running for office soon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, I’m “doing the work.” I’m a Precinct Chair (yes, that’s an elected position - put some respect on it ), I’m organizing, showing up, and helping build the kind of community and political future we actually deserve.
</div>
<div>But if I’m going to do this well - and help more people in a bigger way - I need the right training.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve applied for and been accepted into <a href="https://lbjwcs.lbj.utexas.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LBJ Women's Campaign School</a>, a program designed to train real people (not career politicians) to run for office and win. Which is exactly the lane I belong in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here’s the catch: because I’m already an elected official (hello again, Precinct Chair), I legally cannot receive financial aid for this program.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So this is 100% out-of-pocket. And the deadline is coming up fast.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s where you come in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve ever looked at me and thought,
</div>
<div>“Wow. She should run for office.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m gonna need you to upgrade that energy from thoughts and prayers to actual dollars.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Send me a fiver.
</div>
<div>Send me two fivers if you’re feeling spicy.
</div>
<div>If money’s tight (I get it), sharing this helps more than you think.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My goal: $6,000 total
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>$5,000 for LBJ Candidate School (deadline: April 25)
</li>
<li>The rest to get me to the Texas Democratic Convention in Corpus Christi this June
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn’t hypothetical anymore. This is the next step.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar you give is an investment in someone who is already:
</div>
<ul>
<li>organizing locally
</li>
<li>showing up for the community
</li>
<li>building real connections
</li>
<li>and preparing to take this work even further
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m not waiting for my turn. I’m building it and I am building it NOW.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m not trying to become someone who helps - I already am. Hello testifying and fighting against book bans and for human rights. This is about scaling that work, reaching more people, and stepping into a role where I can make an even bigger impact.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This program helps people like me - people who didn’t come from political dynasties, people who actually understand what it’s like to live and work here and to help us step into leadership and make real change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m ready. The timeline is real. The opportunity is here. I just need your help to get across the starting line.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s do this together. ❤️
</div>

Support My Journey to LBJ Women's Campaign School

<div>I didn’t set out to become “the person people call when things get hard.” It just happened - one conversation, one late night favor, one stubborn belief at a time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m a first-generation Mexican American and a proud product of public education. My family taught me to show up for others, and my schools helped shape my confidence, my voice, and what I believed was possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I grew up in a home where the dinner table doubled as a community forum. Someone always needed help - navigating paperwork, finding a job, or understanding systems that didn’t always feel accessible. That stayed with me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, that same instinct guides my work in public service. I’ve sat with parents who feel overwhelmed advocating for their children and listened to concerns about resources, class sizes, and unequal opportunities. So I started doing what I’ve always done: bringing people together. Small conversations turned into spaces where families can share, learn, and take action.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I’ve learned that caring deeply isn’t always enough. Systems are complex—and often shaped by people with access to knowledge and networks I’ve had to build on my own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why I’m part of the LBJ Women’s Campaign School, Cohort 7.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This program is helping me strengthen the skills I already use - learning how campaigns work, how decisions get made, and how to advocate more effectively. I’m also building a network of leaders across Texas who are committed to making a difference in their communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m asking for support in small amounts. If enough people give $10 - $25, this goal becomes possible. Every contribution is not just helping me attend this program - it’s helping me grow into a stronger advocate for our community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve already been doing the work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now I’m asking for the chance to do it even better - and with your help, I will.
</div>

Support Ileana in her new adventure

<div>Hey y'all!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I got my first taste of politics in the 8th grade when I organized a letter and petition of dozens of 13-year-olds in support of marriage equality to Governor Rick Perry. The law wouldn't change for a few years, but I was hooked.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the past decade, I have built on this initial spark - volunteering with the American Legion Auxiliary's Texas Bluebonnet Girls State, working in a state legislator's office, and, currently, helping <a href="https://www.votewittliff.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Albert Wittliff</a> a candidate I believe in, run for TX HD 129.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To power the next decade and beyond of my political development, I applied for and was accepted to the <a href="https://lbjwcs.lbj.utexas.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LBJ Women's Campaign School</a>. This program empowers the next generation of women change-makers with the tools and skills to effectively run for office and lead in their communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The program features 7 months of hands-on training and mentorship. I am raising money to assist with tuition ($2,050) and travel expenses ($500) to participate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your contribution will empower a young woman to turn her passion into action. Thank you for your support!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am excited to have been accepted into the 2026 cohort of the <strong>LBJ Women’s Campaign School at The University of Texas at Austin</strong>, a nationally recognized program that trains women to lead in public policy, government and national politics.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Having worked in several industries such as healthcare, specialty coffee, and trucking, I've learned the value of discipline, resilience, and how to perform under pressure. It also showed me that the people who keep this country moving are rarely the ones heard when decisions are made.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The tremendous support and exposure I've received from OOIDA as we've sparked a national conversation around trucking compels me to further grow to support our community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a proud Puerto Rican woman in a male-dominated field, I’ve seen how easily voices like mine can be overlooked. This program is a chance to change that; not just for me, but for working-class people who deserve a seat at the table.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am targeting<strong> $5,000</strong> fundraising to cover costs from the program as well as travel, lodging, meals and other out of pocket expenses I am absorbing. Having recently <strong>lost my job</strong>, joining the program has forced me to make several painful choices in order to accommodate my budget, leading to <strong>giving up my apartment recently.</strong> While it was not a decision made lightly, I recognize that sacrifice and uncertainty is part of the lived experience for many other truck drivers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am choosing to take on this risk because I believe in the path ahead; one that holds the potential for something far greater than myself, and one that can create meaningful impact for the communities I represent.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As an aside,<strong> I am also pursuing remote, part-time, or full-time opportunities</strong> in safety, freight brokerage and/or logistics that would complement this program. Please feel free to reach out at
</div>
<div><strong>[email redacted].</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This program is a critical milestone in my career as I am confident it will help me develop the skills to shape the causes impacting our trucking community. I am very eager and uber-excited to delve into the business of government, policy-making, planning and running campaigns, community organizing, fundraising, engaging lobbyists, engaging public forums, and leadership; tools I’ve never had access to before.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thus, I’m asking for support from my community and network to help cover these costs so I can focus on building a future where more truck drivers, more women, and more underrepresented communities are heard in the levers of government.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you believe in hard work, representation, and everyday voices mattering, I’d be grateful for your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Thank you for being part of this journey!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>El tremendo apoyo y exposición que he recibido de OOIDA mientras hemos provocado una conversación nacional sobre el transporte por carretera me obliga a seguir creciendo para apoyar a nuestra comunidad.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Estoy eligiendo asumir este riesgo porque creo en el camino por delante; uno que tiene el potencial de algo mucho más grande que yo misma, y uno que puede crear un impacto significativo para las comunidades que represento.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Si crees en el trabajo duro, la representación y las voces cotidianas que importan, te agradecería tu apoyo.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>¡Gracias por ser parte de este viaje!</strong>

From Truck Driver to Decision Maker Help Me Get There

<div>Hi everyone!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the next cohort of the Lyndon B. Johnson Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas at Austin, one of the most competitive training programs for women in politics.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The LBJ Women’s Campaign School is a seven-month, hands-on program designed to train women to run for office and manage political campaigns. For me, this opportunity is more than just a program; it’s a chance to grow alongside a network of women who are committed to creating real change in their communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For those who may not know my story, I didn’t always see myself in this space.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I grew up in Venezuela, where politics wasn’t something you talked about; it was something you experienced. My family moved to the United States when I was 15, and I had to navigate a completely new environment while figuring out my future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a first-generation college student, I started at community college and faced challenges early on, including taking developmental courses before transitioning into college-level work. It wasn’t easy, but it shaped my resilience and introduced me to mentors who encouraged me to step into leadership and find my voice.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>That path led me to public service.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What started as a hesitant step into a student organization quickly became a passion. Through programs like IGNITE, the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), and New Leadership Texas, I found mentorship, community, and the confidence to step into spaces I never imagined myself in. Along the way, I was fortunate to earn scholarships that allowed me to continue pursuing these opportunities and investing in my growth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At 19 years old, I joined a political campaign and helped elect someone I deeply believed in to public office. That experience changed everything for me. It showed me that this work is real and that the people behind campaigns have the power to create meaningful impact in their communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then, I have continued on a path to a career in public service, working on campaigns, supporting constituents, and building relationships across my community. From helping individuals navigate complex systems to contributing to efforts that shape entire elections, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to have leaders who truly care about the people they serve.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything I’ve done so far, I’ve built from the ground up, seeking out opportunities, earning my place in rooms where decisions are made, and building a network rooted in service, community, and change makers (like you!).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m so excited to learn more political leadership skills so I can help elect leaders who prioritize people over politics.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While I'm grateful to be accepted into the LBJ Women’s Campaign School, I have to be intentional about my financial decisions. I’m currently working to raise $2200 to help cover tuition and related expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And that’s why I’m turning to friends, like you, to help me on this leadership journey. <strong>How might you help me? </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Tuition: After receiving a $750 scholarship, I am working to raise the remaining $1,300. That breaks down to about $6 per day of the program, a small investment that helps make this entire experience possible.
</li>
<li>Lodging: A donation of $192.78 will pay for one night at the hotel (I’ll be there 2 nights).
</li>
<li>Food: A donation of $25, $35, or $40 will help me pay for meals.
</li>
<li>Transportation: A donation of $25-$60 helps cover gas for the 460+ mile round-trip drive to Austin.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even a small contribution of $10, $20, or $25 makes a meaningful difference and helps me get one step closer to this opportunity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because of your help, I can build a career in public service, working to elect leaders who are deeply committed to their communities, not just holding office, but creating real, lasting change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My goal is to expand my impact across Texas and eventually nationwide, helping build campaigns to increase representation and uplift communities that are too often overlooked.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in a better future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
<div>Isabella

Support My Journey at LBJ Women’s Campaign School

<div><strong>I’ve spent 15+ years helping people heal—now I’ve been selected to help change the systems behind the struggle. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m honored to share that I’ve been selected to attend the LBJ Women’s Campaign School at the University of Texas at Austin—a highly respected program that equips women to lead, influence policy, and step confidently into spaces where decisions are made.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For over 15 years, I’ve been in the room with people on some of their hardest days—helping them navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. And what I’ve learned is this: many of the issues we treat in therapy don’t start in the therapy room…they start in systems. Systems that are under-resourced, misinformed, or simply not designed with people in mind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I think about the high-functioning professional quietly burning out and the teen mislabeled as “problematic”—both examples of patterns shaped by policies that fail to provide needed mental health support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why this opportunity matters to me. Not just to show up—but to be effective in rooms where real decisions are being made. To bring a clinical lens, a community perspective, and a voice that understands both the emotional and practical realities people are living every day.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution goes toward making this opportunity possible. Your support will help cover:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>program tuition ($2,000)
</li>
<li>lodging ($300)
</li>
<li>travel ($300)
</li>
<li>meals ($200)
</li>
<li>essential needs ($200) like parking and materials.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This support will allow me to bring a clinical and community perspective to policy spaces and advocate for better mental health systems.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve ever been impacted by the work I do, supported the mission of mental wellness, or believe in expanding access to care—I’d be grateful for your support. Small contributions truly add up and help make this possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My deadline to raise funds is April 20, 2026.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you feel led to give or share, thank you.
