<div>You blink, and life can forever change. Nothing prepares you for a stroke. They are sudden, unexpected, &amp; unforgiving. On September 16th, 2021, my dear friend's mother, Evelyn King's, light almost went out by a severe brain bleeding stroke.

<div>Evelyn was released to a rehabilitation center after fighting for her life in the hospital ICU for over 30 days. Initially, she was doing quite well but then was struck with a severe UTI that caused her to lose a ton of the progress she had made.

<div>Amissa, her strong and resilient daughter, has had to fight for routine care procedures, and this has left Evelyn without the strength and much-needed resources to participate in her rehab. Even after Amissa's hard-fought battles for proper care, her mother was sent home without adequate support and only Amissa to care for her. We thank all who donated or sent medical supplies from her Facebook post and are so grateful for your help!

<div>Minimal medical supplies are not covered, and many things that are daily needs are not being paid for or supplied to Evelyn. All claims to her mother’s insurance came back denied, and her daughter is paying for everything on credit cards and loans, which is financially crippling them.
</div>

<div>I admire Amissa's strength, determination and love to advocate and care for her mother. Evelyn is currently back in the hospital due to the UTI's resistance to antibiotics and emergency gallbladder surgery. Evelyn returns home this week while on a feeding tube due to insurance denying rehab. It seems there are insurmountable barriers to getting Evelyn the care she needs. Having to fight insurance at each step only hurts and delays her recovery.

<div>Amissa, Evelyn's daughter, is a fortitude of strength and would never want to ask openly for help. She NEEDS both physical and financial support and welcomes any assistance! Any help you would give is so appreciated, even if, at this time, prayer is all you have.

<div>Amissa is doing all she can to expedite the application for that help, but the time frame is at the whim of the insurance company. Evelyn's insurance is not approving a rehabilitation center, a nursing home, or in-home nursing care. The hospital social worker tells her that she is months away from assistance as she cares for her mother at home. Amissa has had to leave work with little to no income to support her mother, daughter, and herself.

<div>We're the Price family and we're seeking support for our matriarch and family anchor Dionna who, after several trips to the ER, just had emergency vascular surgery and is facing several more upcoming pulmonary and cardiovascular treatments and procedures over the next few months. All of this has been a complete surprise but blessing in disguise for her and our family. We thank God we were fortunate enough to catch her health issues before they caused her unrecoverable harm. She's made it through the most critical of the surgeries and is doing her best to recover before her follow up procedures. Though she's got a few more fights ahead of her she is keeping her chin up and is eager to get through all of this keeping her eyes and hopes fixed on a happy, healthy future. As her family that have depended on her for so much we can't help but be in awe of her optimism and continued ability to be a stabilizing presence in all our lives with everything she's going through and though we are doing all we can to support and be there for her, as she goes through her treatments and recoveries and the bills pile up we find ourselves hard pressed to fill the humongous shoes shes needing us to step into and we need all the help we can get to do right by her. Our deepest gratitude to all for any and all aid, assistance, prayers and well wishes. May our good Lord bless and grace everyone
