<div><strong>Optimise Whatever — The Wrong Biennale 2027/28</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After fourteen years and seven editions, The Wrong is raising €50,000 to give more back to the artists and curators who make it possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donation will help provide stronger support for selected Pavilions, dedicated international promotion and, for the first time, financial grants through The Wrong Awards.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The eighth edition, Optimise Whatever, takes place worldwide from 1 November 2027 to 31 March 2028.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Help make it possible. Donate what you can, share this campaign, or introduce The Wrong to someone who might want to support it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>Optimise Whatever</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Faster. Smarter. Leaner. Sharper. Stronger. Richer. Younger. Prettier. Happier. Healthier. More connected. More productive. More efficient. More visible. More relevant. More profitable. Always on. Always upgrading. Never enough. Perfect.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We live within systems designed to measure, accelerate and improve everything. From algorithms to bodies, productivity to attention, everything is expected to perform better.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But what defines human improvement? What gets pushed aside when every part of life becomes something to optimise? What truly matters beyond measure?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Optimise Whatever invites artists, curators and audiences to explore these questions through contemporary digital culture.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

</div>
<div><strong>The Wrong, so far</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since 2013, The Wrong has connected digital art across screens, networks, cities and institutions worldwide. More than 14,000 artists and curators have participated across 1,000+ Pavilions, embassies and institutions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>An independent, global biennale for digital culture, The Wrong brings together online exhibitions, physical embassies, screenings, events and experimental projects. There is no central venue: each project develops its own curatorial vision while connecting to the wider Biennale.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Wrong has received an honorary mention from the European Commission’s S+T+ARTS initiative and is a member of the International Biennial Association.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>---
</div>
<div><strong>What your donation makes possible</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This campaign supports three connected ambitions: helping selected Pavilions enhance their presence, bringing their work to wider audiences, and recognising outstanding artistic and curatorial work through financial grants.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds raised will support:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• <strong>The Wrong Awards:</strong> financial grants, jury and programme administration, and dedicated promotion of recipients.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• <strong>Pavilion support and international communication</strong>: coordination, editorial activity and promotion of selected projects across The Wrong’s network.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• <strong>The TW8 platform: </strong>development and maintenance of the website, online programme and digital presence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• <strong>Campaign and programme operations: </strong>payment processing, administration and contingency.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The fundraising target is <strong>€50,000</strong>, with no minimum funding threshold. If less is raised, the programme budget will be adjusted to the funds available. Additional funding will expand grants, Pavilion support and international promotion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The amount available for Awards grants will depend on the total raised and the costs of delivering the programme.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation helps determine how much TW8 can give back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>---
</div>
<div><strong>How to support TW8</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donate any amount that feels right for you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Share the campaign with friends, colleagues and people who care about independent art. Help it reach individuals and organisations that could support its future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donations support the programme as a whole. Financial support has no influence on Pavilion selection or Awards decisions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>---
</div>
<div><strong>The Wrong Awards</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>TW8 introduces The Wrong Awards to recognise, reward and amplify outstanding artistic and curatorial work emerging from the Biennale.
</div>
<div>Every selected Pavilion, its curators and participating artists are automatically eligible. No separate application is required.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are no fixed categories. The jury will review eligible works and projects, recognising those that take risks, open new possibilities and move contemporary artistic practice forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recipients will receive financial grants, international recognition and dedicated promotion across The Wrong’s global network, helping their work reach wider audiences and supporting what they do next.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Grant amounts will be determined by the funds raised.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>A personal note</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I started The Wrong in 2013 imagining a biennale for digital art that worked like the internet: connected, spread across places and full of things you weren’t looking for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fourteen years and seven editions later, it feels like the right moment to find ways for The Wrong to give more back to the people who make it possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is why I’m asking for your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If The Wrong has introduced you to an artist, brought you into a conversation or given your work a place to be seen, I hope you’ll help make that possible for others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donate what you can. Share the campaign.
</div>
<div>Tell someone why it matters to you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s Optimise Whatever<strong>,</strong> together.
