<div>If you live in Carlsbad, you or your kids have likely have gotten ice cream from Antonio's ice cream van. Antonio’s beloved ice cream van was destroyed in a fire in his driveway. Because the fire was not caused by another vehicle, it is not covered by insurance, leaving him without the very thing that supports his livelihood and brings joy to our entire community.

<div>For more than 16 years, Antonio has been more than just an ice cream vendor — he has been a cherished part of Carlsbad.

<div>In 2010, Antonio started his ice cream business with a simple mission: serve his community with kindness, hard work, and of course, ice cream. Since then, countless families have heard the familiar music of his van and watched their kids run outside with excitement. You’ve probably seen him at Calavera Park, during soccer games at Magnolia Elementary School, by Tanglewood, Sierra Morena, or near the new Fire Station #3, always serving treats with a smile. For many of us, Antonio isn’t just a vendor; he’s part of our kids' childhood memories, summer evenings, and neighborhood traditions.

<div>He has consistently given back to the very community that supports him. Over the years, he has generously donated to local organizations like City SC Soccer, North Coast Soccer League, and Buena Vista Elementary School. His contributions have helped provide uniforms, equipment, and opportunities for young athletes, promoting teamwork, confidence, and community spirit.

Help Antonio Get Back to Supporting our Community!

Friends, we need your help! This sweet boy has been battling epilepsy. His courage and strength has been nothing short of a miracle. He has two amazing parents, two loving older sisters and a beautiful family that have been walking this journey with him for over a year. On March 30th he checked into Rady Childrern's hospital for brain surgery. Although he made it through and seemed to be doing well, unfortunately the seizures continued and the surgeons needed to go back in for another surgery. After two surgeries and countless tests, there are still complications and the specialist teams are working around the clock for his healing. This beautiful family is still at Rady and have been told it will be at least another 4 weeks (if not more) before he can go home. The medical bills are astronomical and any little bit helps as this family walks through this difficult time. His mother has made a blog called Prayers For Reynaldo that you can find on Facebook to follow this sweet boy's story. We are asking for money to help with the medical bills and financial hardship on this beautiful family. Please send prayers to our sweet Reynaldo and his loving family during this time.
