Hannah is one of our fellow native runners, and her heart is as strong as her legs.

In 2025, Hannah committed to running the New York City Marathon for Rise Above, a native organization that supports native youth in sports, with a fundraising goal of $5,000. She trained hard and began fundraising with everything she had.

Midway through the year, life threw her a huge curveball. Hannah was laid off from her job. As a single mom of three, her priority had to be keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table. Even in the middle of that stress and uncertainty, she still raised $2,000 for Rise Above and went on to run the NYC Marathon, representing with strength and integrity.

Hannah made a promise to Rise Above, and she is determined to honor it. She’s our run buddy, and Jocelyn and I have committed to helping her reach her goal, but time is running out.

We’re asking our community to help us spread the word. Even a $10 donation makes a difference and helps Hannah fulfill the commitment she ran her heart out for.

Please consider donating or sharing. Let’s lift up a runner who never gave up.

Help Hannah Reach Her Marathon Fundraising Goal

Taj's surgery is coming up fast the middle of February 2019 . I need help to cover costs for my son's surgery, rehabilitation, loss time from work and other expenses. He will have two metal rods inserted under his sternum for 3 years. He is a straight "A" student at Valley Christian High School who plays basketball. Thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated! Thank you & God bless !

It’s with a heavy heart that we’re starting a funding campaign for our sister in law, Connie. Connie went to the ER this week and we learned that she has been diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. I don’t have the specifics yet on the type of brain cancer. Connie will be starting radiation treatments on Monday. She’s fighting hard right now to pull through with Sam (my brother/her husband) and Athena (daughter) by her side. This is sudden and unexpected. Connie has never been a smoker, has good habits and no family history that we’re aware of that would have attributed to this. It’s a hard blow to take. With Athena getting ready to enter her senior year of high school, this is just unbelievable.

To compound things a bit more, we have two other family members right now that are fighting terminal and serious medical conditions. Within the last two weeks, our Mom has entered home hospice care for heart failure and our 92 year old Grandmother had a stroke. All of these ladies are fighters! We’re currently navigating care for our Mom and our Grandmother thankfully is surrounded by family and support in Maryland.

The immediate help is needed to support Connie, Sam and Athena. Connie is one of the most classy and caring people I know. She has such a gentle demeanor and is completely dedicated to family. Both Sam and Connie have been active in their local soccer community over the years while supporting Athena’s passion and have always been a family to help others when in need.

With all of this, Sam just recently started a new job so the vacation time/paid time off options are very low. We would be truly grateful for any donations to help support them during this fight for her life! The bills will quickly pile up for medical not covered by insurance, unpaid days off work and the treatments to come. All of the donations will go to Connie and Sam. We also encourage you to send notes of encouragement that we can share with Connie. Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time. Please share and post this to your networks. Many, many thanks.

Hey guys as you know our dad, brother, and friend Steve Handel had a severe stroke back in February. While insurance has covered most of it they are again saying he needs to transfer facilities and needs close to $5000 to do so out of pocket. Long story short don’t have a stroke without the best insurance. Anything will help and even if you can’t a prayer will work just as much.

Handels Recovery

On Tuesday, March 13th, Cooper Vossler was vacationing in Mexico when he was struck by a car while standing on the side of the road. Unfortunately the driver was not found. Cooper was taken by ambulance to the US border where he was transported via medical flight to a hospital in Goodyear, AZ. He was very badly battered by the impact of the vehicle, and has experienced severe swelling and bleeding in his brain among his many injuries. The doctors performed a craniectomy to help alleviate the swelling in Cooper's brain, but it will be some time before the full extent of his brain injury is known, and he will likely face extensive rehabilitation.

None of the medical care that Cooper received in Mexico will be covered by his insurance. Cooper's family will be facing enormous medical bills in the coming months. This page has been set up to help Cooper's family with these medical costs.

Editing to add information requested by GoFundMe to unfreeze account. I am Rachael Thornton from Gilbert, AZ. I am friends with Cooper’s mom, Renae. I have known Cooper since he was 5 years old. The money from this campaign will be used to pay for Cooper’s medical expenses.

My niece Kim has been taken off of life support just days after suffering a massive stroke at the young age of 44. She will leave behind her three sons Kenny (26), Mathew (24), and Timmy (16). They are understandably heart broken and distraught over thier mothers passing . Kenny is now is facing the sole responsibility of raising his youngest brother and providing a wholesome life for them both. As you can imagine, with this responsibility comes the financial stress of paying bills, finding reliable transportation, and putting food on the table for them both. Kenny’s car recently stopped working and is struggling to find a way to get to work on time, let alone, run errands for his family in the Arizona heat. Kenny, Mathew, and Timmy have no other family in Arizona as they lost their grandmother, Kim’s mother, Diane, a few weeks prior in May. Kim and her sons are Arizona natives and have grown up in Chandler their entire lives - this city is all they know. Timmy currently attends Chandler High School and is set to graduate in 2019.

I cannot find the words to express the pain and heartbreak her children are under at this present moment. No child should bear this pain alone and we know Kim would have never wanted her children to be put in this situation. We are asking for any contribution you can make that will help fund moving costs, as they will need to downsize due to the lack of income from their mother and grandmother, medical bills, legal fees for Kenny to secure guardianship of his brother, and the cost of food and toiletries. The purpose of this account is also to assist with this in addition to Kim’s funeral costs so her sons can give their mother a proper burial.

No one could have prepared them for this, but hopefully we can help ease their suffering.

Thank you for your time.
