<div>Daily radiation and chemotherapy are scheduled to start in July, and will continue into the Fall.

<div>Their (Dan, Rachel &amp; Claire's) summer will be spent focused on fighting their best and hardest fight yet.
</div>
<div>Treatment will leave Dan unable to work for an undetermined but lengthy amount of time.
</div>

<div>Always being the people who will do anything for anyone else, it is challenging for Dan and Rachel to accept support, but their friends and family are determined to make sure they put all of their energy into healing rather than worrying about the "little things".
</div>

<div>In an effort to ease their burden, we have put together this page and are asking for donations. Funds raised will be used for things such as supplies and medication not covered, monthly household expenses, meals, home support, childcare, gas for travelling to and from Saint John (this is an hour and a half drive - one way), and other things that may arise-such as overnight stays at hotels when necessary.

In Memory of Our Dear Friend Dan: Claire's Education Fund

<p><br />On April 1st 2021, Pete passed away suddenly in his sleep. His sudden passing has left us all wondering why and grieving his loss. <br /><br />Pete was a very helpful person, whether you needed something fixed, painted or someone to talk to, Pete was there. He was always there to have a laugh and enjoy his family at all the family events and special occasions over the years. He will be greatly missed by all. <br /><br />Unfortunately due to current restrictions, they were unable to have a service, but we look forward to having a memorial celebration of life over the summer.

<p>My name is Dawn-Marie and I am a manager at a neighborhood restaurant in Roncesvalles, Toronto. 
</p>

<p>Our beloved neighbourhood bar across the street The Bluebird has been vandalized and robbed over the evening of April 27th.  This comes at a time when this business has already been ravished by the pandemic and is struggling to stay afloat through these trying times. Our heart breaks for its owner who has been a bright light in this community since 2018.   She has always been there for me and my staff as our go-to place to kick back and relax after a long shift. We are devastated to see this happen in our community. 
</p>

<p>Costs to repair the store frontage is substantial, she also had cash stolen from the premises. Anything you can do to help, donate or share this link would be so appreciated.    The goal is to take the burden off the small business owner and help her get back on her feet.  
</p>

<p>Anything above and beyond the goal will go towards modifying the storefront to allow for a sliding door. This will contribute to better airflow within the space, making it more comfortable for guests returning after lockdown.

Help Bluebird Rebuild after Vandalism & Theft

<br />As many of you may already know, Matthew (Matty) McLean has begun the fight of his life with stage 4 cancer at the young age of 43.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/19275230_1491437072.6822_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />Over this past Christmas Matty and his family received the devastating news that he had colon cancer and it has spread extensively into his liver. Matty has already under gone surgery to remove a large tumor in his colon and will continue with aggressive chemotherapy to try and shrink the 9 tumors in his liver. In the upcoming months Matty’s treatments will determined what will happen going forward. We are all praying for a miracle and are hoping that you will pray with us too.<br /><br /> Like the true optimist that Matty is, he is approaching this battle with a positive attitude and fighting spirit.<br /><br /> But this fight for Matty and his family has just begun!<br /><br /> Throughout this battle, Matty will be unable to work due to the intrusive nature of his chemotherapy treatments. Matty has always been a hard worker and significant provider for his family. <br />Many of you have already asked how you can help and those offers have been deeply appreciated.
