<div><strong>This is absolutely a devastating tragedy!</strong> Seventy residents were affected by last night's fire at the Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility. Nine are confirmed deceased, thirty are hospitalized, and the remaining residents are temporarily being taken care of in a temporary facility at St. Anne's Hospital.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. <strong>100% of all donations will be given to the families of these victims. This fundraiser is organized by the Firefighters Wives Association Inc. , a non-profit organization that helps people who are displaced by fires and other emergencies.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds will be disbursed to those displaced to the residents of the Gabriel House fire via checks once all transfers are made from GoFundMe into our non-profit account. Now that we found out that South Coast Funeral Home is generously donating the funerals services to all of the effected families, we will be disbursing the funds evenly to all residents and the next of kin (if any) of the deceased.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mail gift cards or checks made payable to Firefighters Wives Association to 330 Highview Ave, Somerset, MA 02726 or they can be dropped off to the Fall River City Hall, Mayors Office or to Christopher's located at 1816 So Main St, Fall River.

Help Families Affected by Gabriel House Fire

<div>My name is Hank Wyatt and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother and sister in law while they're in the hospital with serious injuries due to the Ruidoso, NM, flash flood.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On July 8th, what was supposed to be a carefree family vacation in Ruidoso, New Mexico, turned into a nightmare no one could have imagined.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their babies, *little* Sebastian Rowan (7) and Charlotte Emery Trotter (4), lost their lives and were sent to be with the lord. Their dogs, Zeus (9) and Ellie (5) were also sadly unable to survive their injuries. Their German Shepherd Lily (8) thankfully survived alongside the parents, Stephanie and Sebastian.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They were camping alongside a small stream of water at an RV park in Ruidoso, NM. They had a fantastic day exploring the town, shopping, getting pizza for lunch, playing soccer, and then came back to start packing up the RV to leave.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They received no warning or alerts on their phone when suddenly water began to flood the campsite at a rapid pace. The RV began to fill up with water before they could even step out of the door. Their efforts to escape the RV and seek refuge failed. As the water got more and more violent, the RV was nearly half way filled with water when the wall of the RV cracked in half and the mother and kids were sucked into the water. Sebastian (parent) dove into the water after the kids.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Stephanie was holding onto her babies fighting the water, trying to get them to safety. Her Husband, Sebastian, was able to guide their son up a tree while Stephanie and their daughter Charlotte continued down the river until trees and debris hit and separated them. It was impossible for them to fight against the speed and depth of the water at this point.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Stephanie was drowning and found the strength to force herself back above the water and thankfully got stuck on a part of a wall in order to be rescued by some people nearby.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Its a miracle that Stephanie and Sebastian (parents) even survived those waters.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The entire town tried to help as much as possible and we thank them for their support. Everyone helped trying to rescue them as well as their dogs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As if losing their children and two of their dogs weren’t enough, the flood destroyed their RV, their truck, and nearly every precious keepsake they brought with them... photo albums, laptops and phones filled with memories, and the simple comforts of home. Stephanie and Sebastian both sustained serious injuries; Sebastian faces major surgeries and months of recovery, and she will not be able to work fully for quite some time. Stephanie is a nursing student and Sebastian is a active US Army soldier.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising these funds not only to cover their bills, mortgage, and rehabilitation, but to give our little Sebastian and Charlotte the beautiful farewell they deserve... their funerals, the memorials, the moments of love and remembrance that no amount of sorrow should ever steal from a family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These funds will mostly be used to give the kids the memorials that they deserve and ensure that the parents have one less thing they need to worry about.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sebastian and Stephanie were devoted parents to two of the brightest, most joyful souls you could ever meet. Little Sebastian loved nothing more than chasing a soccer ball across a field, dreaming of playing professionally one day. Charlotte was our little performer. Always singing, always twirling, and lighting up every room she entered. They were kind, curious, and loved harder than anyone I’ve ever known.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is the worst day of our family’s lives. If you can give even a dollar, it will help shoulder some of the burden the parents have and they can focus on healing. If you can share this page, you can help bring hope to Stephanie and Sebastian in their darkest hour. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us. Any kindness you can offer will mean the world.

Help Support the Ruidoso Flood Survivors Trotter Family

<div>Updated Story:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We want to express our heartfelt thanks to all our generous donors. Naomi successfully underwent surgery and has recovered well. She was even able to return home in time to see the end of the school year at her Mission School in Gaua.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, during a recent follow-up appointment, doctors discovered a small cancerous cell mass in her liver. The surgeon has advised that it is contained and can be removed, but this has placed an unexpected financial burden on the Turnbull family.
</div>
<div>We trust in God’s goodness and provision. We have reopened the GoFundMe page for anyone who is able to give—even a small contribution would be a tremendous blessing.
</div>
<div>Please know that the Turnbulls are incredibly humble people. They did not ask us to do this, as they would never want to burden others. Their attitude remains steadfast: God will provide—and we believe He truly will.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You may have heard of Dr. Mark and Naomi Turnbull, along with their daughter Kay—and now their growing family, which includes two adopted children. For over 20 years, Naomi and her husband, Dr. Mark, have faithfully served the people of Gaua, a remote island in Vanuatu. As dedicated missionaries, they have devoted their lives to making a difference—offering education, medical care, spiritual guidance, and hands-on support in one of the Pacific’s most isolated regions. Naomi founded and continues to operate a school, which also accommodates deaf students, while Dr Mark operates a Flying Doctor Service and medical clinic, they both pour their hearts and energy into every aspect of their mission.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Faithful to their God, they serve with humility and selflessness. Supporting not only the community of Gaua Island but also reaching far beyond.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, unfortunately, they need our help...
</div>
<div>After returning to Australia earlier this year due to ongoing health concerns, Naomi received a difficult diagnosis of cancer which required immediate medical attention. She remained in Australia—separated from her family—in order to rest and access both medical and natural treatments essential for her recovery.
</div>
<div>Because Naomi and Dr. Mark have been living outside Australia for more than two years, they are no longer eligible for Medicare. This has placed a significant financial burden on them. Naomi recently underwent major surgery to remove a tumour. The operation required an extended hospital stay, followed by an emergency readmission for two nights due to complications. As a result, their out-of-pocket medical expenses have quickly risen to at least $30,000. She also faces a second operation in the near future which will set them back by another very large amount along with the follow-up care. People in Vanuatu do not have the funds to pay for the medical help that Dr Mark gives and only pay in fruit and vegetables. The financial support they receive from abroad barely covers living expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This family, who have given so much without asking for anything in return, now face a financial burden they cannot carry alone. We want to be there to support them! We’re asking our community—friends, family, churches, and those who believe in supporting those who’ve dedicated their lives to others—to give whatever they can to help cover Naomi’s medical expenses. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Let’s surround the Turnball family with the same love and support they’ve extended to others for decades.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to help financially, please remember the Turnbull in your Prayers. Thank you for your generosity.
