<div>Hello, i never thought i would ever have to use this platform. I certainly never thought i would ever have to ask anyone for this kind of help in this lifetime. My name is Margarita i am a mother of 4 incredible kids, ages 2 to 13. 2 boys and 2 girls, about two months ago their father decided to up and walk clean out of our lives as he unfortunately he struggles with his own mental health issues. So i went from being a stay at home of 10 years to a do it all on my own working mom. That i am fine with, i mean its definitely not without its challenges. However life as we know it is already hard enough with the rising costs of fuel, groceries, housing especially living in Canada etc. In this case it is not my own financial bills that have become extremely hard to keep a float. I am the oldest of four siblings: 3 girls and a boy. My youngest sisters being 11 and 14 my brother is 17 and my other sister is 20. It all started January 11th 2025. It was a normal day or so it seemed, next i know my phone is ringing. I answer my phone, little did i know that phone call would be one to shake my entire world upside an into a billion pieces. Like one of those 10,000 piece puzzles was dropped right over my head. With no one but myself my babies and my siblings to try and piece it all back together. I hear my dads voice say kiddo, he did not sound like my high spirited positive encouraging dad. Despite knowing dad sounded off i replied. Dad! hey how are you and my siblings, its been about a week since we last spoke. I am sorry for that dad, with all of the changes going on in my world. I have been incredibly busy with now working full time and performing both mom and dad roles for my kids. Trying so hard to make ends meet both financially and emotionally. With slim to no time for even a simple check in phone call. I will hopefully be able to get things better sorted here on my end soon enough dad. Maybe even be able to save a little extra money so that the kids and i can drive down and visit you and the kids. My dad and siblings live in the Vancouver area i live in Kamloops area. With young kids and a dodge journey that has been over heating on me from the amount of times i have done the round trip since dad breaking the news. It takes me about 3 hours an 10 minutes each way. That being said my dad says to me kiddo i have something i need to tell you. Then dad follows up with " you have to promise not to tell any of your siblings." It was in that moment my heart sunk and i asked whats up dad whats going on? Dad replies with a soft broken voice kiddo i have been in a lot of pain lately. Now i knew anything he was about to say was not going to be good. My dad has an insanely high pain tolerance, when i was ten years old he fell off a cattle feed cylo landed on a literal cow then hit the ground. His boss at the time was in complete shock when my dad who had just fallen a good twenty ft. Got up off the ground, with nothing in mind but to walk it off and with a few broken ribs he did just that his boss had to force him to at least take the rest of the day off. That being one of many stories of how high the mans pain tolerance is. That being said, my dad continues on to say the pain hes been having had been so severe he thought he was having a heart attack. My dad never goes to the hospital for anything, that night without waking my siblings who live with him in fear of stressing or scaring them. My dad drove himself to the hospital. I said DAD why didn't you call me? No matter the distance i would have found a way down to be there with you and my siblings. His reply was Margarita with all you and my grand kids are going through i could not dare burden you like that. I said dad never are you a burden never you are my dad. Dad then replies please just listen to me. As i listen he begins to share the details of the blood work and biopsy that had been done on arrival at Abbotsford general hospital. Dad says kiddo it doesn't look so good, i don't want to add stress on you nor do i want to scare you. However you are my oldest kid and i am going to need you to take care of your three younger siblings if anything happens to me. I said DAD! nothing bad is going to happen please don't say that. Dad replies with i have stage two lung cancer in my right lung kid. My heart broke and i didn't want to make his stress worse by crying. So i held it together through the conversation. My dad then proceeds to tell me hes got not one but three cancer specialists following his health. That he is being put on a series of medications immediately. Dad then tells me with the amount of pain hes in, the swelling that has become externally visible on his chest and back. That he will have to tell the kids soon, however he's terrified to tell them. He fears their young minds and fragile hearts cant take the uncontrollable circumstances. Especially after their mother abandoning them 8 years ago with no contact since leaving them all. My dad has been single parenting my siblings whom have a different mother than myself on one income. He is an amazing contractor,handy man always has been since before i was born. I will be thirty three this July. Over the next two months bringing us from beginning of January 2025 to current day. Unfortunately my dads cancer has gotten worse. Its to the point now that he struggles to breath sleeping is not a thing with all of the pain. Simple tasks such as walking are beginning to get challenging for him. With no one other than myself to help him, as hes got no siblings. Nana passed away years ago, we never met our papa as he abandoned dad and Nana shortly after dad was born. My dad has been forcing himself to go to work daily, even takes small side contracting jobs in hopes to put some money away for the kids God forbid he doesn't beat this lung cancer. March 3rd my dads doctors advised him to get something legalized in order. For the care of the three younger kids, a precautionary in case the cancer reaches his liver and things go really wrong. The doctors also informed us that with in the thirty days of the first biopsy his cancer had grown over one cm now covering over half of the bottom end of his right lung which as we all know sits above the liver. That his body was not a fan of the western medicine Canada provides for cancer. My dads prescriptions are so costly and with zero coverage we have all been forced into selling things we have all worked hard for. Just to ensure that my dad gets the medications he needs. Also that my siblings have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies. Dad was told that he needed to stop working, he refused as how will he and the kids survive. They are barely getting by as is, then he was told by one kind female doctor that he was an eligible candidate. For the Oasis holistic cancer treatment center in Mexico. That this doctor had multiple success stories from patients she couldn't help here in Canada with our western medicine. She told us that at the Oasis center they practice a completely different approach to fighting lung cancer. That they have a variety of more natural holistic cancer treatments. The Oasis has over 15 years of success stories treating international patients whose bodies much like my dad cant handle the synthetic radiation based cancer treatments offered here. Step 1. Holistic assessment. Step 2. Cellular nutrition. Step 3. Detoxification Step 4. Immune support and regulation. Step 5. Cancer suppression. Finally some good news! Then we were given the cost of the treatment center. The cost is just shy of $13,000 Canadian per each month he needs to stay there for treatment the exact amount of time there he will need is still undetermined. When my dad and i found out the cost we both instantly started to cry. We had no idea of how we would be able to come up with that kind of money. it took us about a month and a week to get anything we had of large value sold. Dad had to sell his most beloved hobby in his life, his Harley Davidson motorcycle the one he saved for years to be able to have. With time not being on our side and his cancer spreading quickly. Dad was forced to take what he could for the bike not what the motor bike was worth. Myself an kids sold my two dirt bikes and all four of the kids quads. I have been pulling double shifts and performing as many over time hours as Tim Hortons will allow me to do. This resulting in me never being home. The past 5 weeks have been extremely emotional, exhausting and just a whole lot of pressure for my dad myself my kids and siblings as well. That being said we did it we managed to come up with enough money to purchase his plane tickets and pay for a month and a half of treatment at the Oasis cancer center so far. The current struggle is the fact that i have 4 kids of my own whom 3 of which are in school Monday to Friday and my 3 siblings who live 3 hours away from me also have school Monday to Friday this leaving me driving from Kamloops to Vancouver starting this up coming Sunday staying with my siblings at my dads apartment caring for their every need through the week as well my own kids needs an financial needs such as groceries for two homes and seven kids ages 17 and under, rent an utilities bills for both my place an my dads place while hes away trying to heal for us all. I am seeking help with costs of child care for my kids, groceries, rent and utilities for my siblings an dads place as well laundry facility funds, fuel and oil change funding as Monday to Friday i will be leaving 3 of my kids at home in Kamloops with a friend caring for them, getting them to school cooking for them etc. Thankfully this friend is only charging me 300 per week she has to be with them this is a lot for me as i was always a stay at home mom never having to pay for child care i will have my 2 yr old son traveling back and forth with me i will be driving home Fridays after my siblings get out of school driving the 3 hrs from Vancouver back to Kamloops to be able to spend some time with my kids while still having to work weekends that i am home thank God Tim hortons is able to give me work in a different store front in the vancouver area for the days i have to be down Vancouver way with my siblings so that they can keep their school and life routine as normal as can be until dad returns. Funding for bus passes for my siblings to get to school in a way cheaper then me having to drive them across the city daily we have had thoughts of getting rid of their dogs sadly as i wont be able to afford the cost of feeding dogs while trying to keep food on the table at my home and my dads on top of all other expenses and my dad unfortunately even if he gets better he will not be able to work for at least a month after his return so i will still be needing to cover his medical prescriptions rent and bills etc and his trip back to mexico for a reassessment evaluation a few months after his return etc i am sincerely sorry for asking help especially from people i don't even know however i will say anything helps and thank you in advance to anyone who's heart would be so kind to donate your hard earned money to my family who has done their absolute most to exceed every outlet possible including insane amount of work hours to gather the funds needed to get out family through this very emotional and unfortunate, uncontrollable circumstances. My dad myself my siblings and my own babies Thank you so much for anything. We are faithful that God will heal my dad and that he will provide our needs through the kindness of your hearts. UPDATE my dad's in need of an open chest lung surgery we simply can't afford it he's going to fly back from Mexico is rough shape but he says he needs to find work or he won't be able to get the surgery and the result if no surgery is done soon.  Result is maybe a year with us :( myself an younger siblings are doing our best to pull everything we need together financially but having sold all our valuables plus me having to financially support my own home and kids aswell trying to keep rent covered amongst all other bills etc that my dad an siblings need. An my cars head gasket blew yesterday so I got stranded in Vancouver area the day before going home to visit my own kids please anyone if possible help
