Growing up in Lake Tahoe, I developed a deep appreciation for the natural world and the urgent need to protect our ecosystems. My friend and I have witnessed firsthand how pollution, wildfires, and neglect are devastating California’s coastal regions—threatening marine life, eroding vital vegetation, and polluting both land and water. These changes aren’t just harming wildlife; they’re endangering the balance of entire ecosystems that sustain communities and future generations. We believe that by documenting these critical issues, we can spark real change. Our plan is to travel to California’s coasts this July, equipped with cameras and research tools, to capture the true scope of environmental decline and resilience. The funds we raise will cover travel, equipment, and the launch of a verified channel dedicated to sharing our findings. Through this channel, we’ll provide free educational resources and empower people to take meaningful action to protect coastal ecosystems. This project is about more than raising awareness—it’s about inspiring hope and mobilizing support for the ecosystems that make California’s coasts so extraordinary.
