<div>Most of you know my mom but for those that don’t her name is Debra. She is the strongest woman that I know, the rock of our family. So you can only imagine our shock and surprise on 1/6/24 when what we thought was a minor issue turned into cancer.

<div>Last month, our lives were turned upside down when my mom, Debra, was diagnosed with stage 4 extensive small cell lung cancer, an aggressive form of cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has already spread rapidly throughout parts of mom’s body. This has been a huge blow and entirely unanticipated. We are currently grappling with a whirlwind of emotions, including shock, fear, and uncertainty about the future, and are doing everything we can to foster the strength needed to face and fight the journey ahead.

<div>This diagnosis has left her unable to work, putting immense financial strain and extra stress. We humbly ask for your support during this incredibly challenging time. Any funds raised will go towards covering medical expenses, daily living costs, and any other unforeseen expenses that arise as we navigate this difficult journey.

<div>It breaks our hearts to have to ask for help, but I know that we can’t get through this alone. Help us in the battle for Debra to fight S4 Lung Cancer!

This event is a celebration of Charlie Mayer's life. On May 1st 2020 our family and their friends suddenly lost their beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and uncle Charlie. We are all far more than heartbroken over his passing, and we want to do something in remembrance of him that he would have liked and would have been his style of gathering. Charlie was a very loving, caring, and thoughtful person to so many people who also loved him. We are collecting donations for this event to support all of the people who are making it happen. Several generous individuals are lending their property, equipment, water, power, and time to make this happen, so I want to compensate them as best we can for their help. Anything we collect in addition to our goal, or that may be left over will be donated to support a wilderness conservation charity. Charlie loved family, friends, and adored nature and wildlife, so we want to honor him in that sense with these donations. This is an exclusive event for friends, family, and loved ones who want to pay their respects. The location is an hour west of Orlando.
