It is with deep sadness and heartbreak that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Wendy, on 29th June

Wendy was a warm, kind, and caring soul whose love touched everyone around her. She had a heart of gold and a beautiful way of making people feel seen and supported. Her passing has left an unimaginable hole in the lives of all who loved her—especially her devoted husband, Billy, who is now facing the overwhelming reality of life without her.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help support Billy and the family during this heartbreaking time. Funds raised will go directly toward covering funeral and memorial expenses, and easing the sudden financial strain caused by Wendy’s unexpected loss.

No donation is too small. Every bit helps and is deeply appreciated. If you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this page with others who may be able to help.

Thank you for your compassion, love, and support as we come together to remember Wendy and support Billy through this devastating time.

All money raised will go directly to Billy to support him with all necessary arrangements

Funeral arrangements will be updated once known.

With love,

Sudden passing of Wendy Carter

***** LATEST NEWS UPDATE – 1st AUGUST 2014 ******
Thank you for wanting to help us with this donation. The Australian Government has come through and have started to fund Bianca's life saving medicine Soliris since 23rd July 2014. We do not have a clear picture how long they will be committing to this and of course that is not acceptable for us long term. We will continue to work with the various leaders that are involved in these negotiation to help us bring a long term solution to save Bianca and other aHUS patients lives. We are suspending all fundraising activities as we know how much financial pressure everyone is under and we already are very grateful for the many donations that have helped us this far and allowed us to provide Bianca with Soliris when the health system was not willing to help us and she was very sick, fighting for her life. On Valentines day we started her first dose on 14th February 2014 and managed 11 doses.

These articles will give you a summary of our latest news:
http://m.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/news/gold-coast/government-to-fund-lifesaving-drug-soliris-for-gold-coast-teen-bianca-scott-while-negotiations-for-it-to-be-subsidised-continue/story-fnj94idh-1227002093667?from=gold+coast+bulletin_rss
GC Bulletin 26th July 2014

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2706424/Desperately-ill-girl-18th-birthday-wish-life-WILL-world-s-expensive-drug.html
Daily Mail UK

Thank you so very much for your kindness, support and generosity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Original Campaign
We NEED YOUR HELP!!! Thanks you for reading this…
Only a week after her high school formal, Bianca fell ill with an ultra rare and life threatening disease called aHUS. aHUS is an ugly degenerative disease that breaks red blood cells creating millions of clots that attack vital organs. This link has more information on this ugly killer. www.ahussource.com/patients/ahus-risks.
There is only ONE treatment that now saves lives like Bianca and that is called Soliris. It currently costs over $600,000 per year and Bianca will require this drug to protect her from further attacks as well as help her body heal from this attack.
The Australian health System funds this very expensive medicine “for free” already but in a CRUEL twist, Soliris is not funded for aHUS but it is funded for another disease. So Bianca suffers and already after 3 weeks from her attack, she has full kidney failure, high blood pressure and many complications from these serious conditions.
We are raising funds to give her Soliris now and save her from getting worst while we also lobby hard the Government and ask the Health Minister Peter Dutton to give Bianca a chance to live when there is a drug that can save her and that drug is already funded on the Life Savings Drugs Program (LSDP). Every two weeks I have to pay $24,000 to get Bianca a dose that protects her and heals her. Every two weeks!
Help us save Bianca's life and help us get this drug on the approved list of subsidized drugs so the other estimated 100 Australians can live. We all deserve the right to live, not matter our age, sex, religion or wealth.
Thank your generous support.
Warmest Regards,
Tammy Hamawi (Her Mother).
Here are some important links you may want to visit:
Here are some important links you may want to visit:
Sign our petition: http://chn.ge/1cKikzS
Visit our website: www.biancasbattle.com/donate
Watch us: www.youtube.com/user/biancasbattlevideos/videos
Share our story: www.facebook.com/Biancasbattle
