<div>Shortly after getting married, we decided we wanted to grow our family. For me, I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I never dreamed about the wedding or played dress-up. It was always playing babies and pretend house. When I started thinking about careers, it didn’t matter, but I knew it had to be with children. It was a dream that I have always had, and sharing that with Kaleb made it even more special. In April of 2022, we started trying, and come May, I found out I was pregnant. We were so elated that I had gotten pregnant so quickly, but unfortunately, that ended in a MMC at 10 weeks.

<div>After a few months to grieve, I found out I was pregnant again, but that too ended in loss. Flash forward to early 2023, a few more losses, a lot of tears, and a diagnosis that would mean we would need to seek fertility assistance to have a chance at a healthy baby. Since 2023, we have gone through two egg retrievals, three more miscarriages, and some really dark moments. Now here we are, still hoping and praying that God's plan is NOT finished. But with that being said, <strong>we can’t continue on without some financial assistance.</strong> It is beyond me and Kaleb both to ask for help, but we know that the Lord provides and that regardless of funds, prayers are donations too!

We achieved this with both the methods of fabrication of miniatures and sets, as well as our shooting techniques."

<div>My good friend Brad Kershaw has been a police officer for over 20 years, spanning a career in patrol, as a homicide detective, and he is also a Navy veteran. He’s a great father, husband, and friend.

<div>This story is so crazy. A couple weeks ago he suffered a workplace injury while on the job. In the process of doing his job, he suffered a bad ankle fracture that would require surgery and lots of rest, healing and physical therapy.

<div>Unfortunately due to a delay, Brad suffered a pulmonary embolism and multiple blood clots throughout his body. Without getting too much deeper into his injuries, he is now in a fight for his life.
</div>

<div>As a first responder, you would think that this shouldn’t happen. The injury was work related, critical care needed but delayed- the most recent update is that he is critical but stable.
</div>

<div>Brad has been married over 20 years to a wonderful wife who is there at his side, and has two high achieving daughters, the younger is graduating HS this year and going off to college. His eldest daughter will be a junior in college next fall. I post this Go Fund Me as a friend, and as a person who believes in good things happening- I was helped out of a really bad situation 3 years ago.

The Shepard Center in Atlanta specializes in support and care for long term rehabilitation. The strokes have resulted in total short term memory loss and sadly Brad is unable to move his legs. We remain hopeful that he is young, healthy, determined, and strong, so he will be able to recover his memory and restore all of his leg function!

<div>His daily struggles include significant chest pain from an extended period on the CPR machine, pneumonia and lung trauma. He is constantly moving from shivering to sweating due to his spinal cord injury, has burning sensations in his eyes, and in the moment becoming more aware that he can’t move or remember things.

Ashley, being an only child with limited extended family support, is now faced with the daunting task of being by her mother's side during her recovery, which could span weeks or even months, as she’ll be permanently disabled.

<div>After college, Billy worked in property management in Boston, Mass. He then spent a year in banking in Brewer, Maine. Most recently, he served as a retirement consultant at Empower. While at Bates, Billy met Hillary Throckmorton, and they began dating in 2014. Together they lived in Boston, Maine and Atlanta, traveled the world, spoiled their beloved dog Kobe, and bought their first home together. They were married on August 28, 2021, in Dedham, Maine, and they are expecting a baby in May 2023. Everyone knows that Billy would have been an incredible dad.

<div>Billy was a proud member of Shad Nation basketball, and he loved to golf and listen to good music. Always on the go—walking Kobe, going to the gym, or playing a pick-up game—Billy also developed a knack for cooking, a green thumb, and was the newest member of the HOA board. As one of the most active and healthy people we knew, Billy could also be caught with a burger and fries and a good beer while closely monitoring his fantasy football teams.

<div>Billy’s glowing smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten. People gravitated toward Billy because of his warmth and laid-back charm. He was everyone’s biggest hype man, especially for his younger brother, Kenny. No matter who you talk to, Billy was unanimously an amazing husband, son, brother, co-worker, and friend. Every single person who knew him has a story about how good Billy made them feel.

On December 26, a devastating fire swept thru our friend, Keith's, home. We are unsure of the total damage yet, but he lost a car and most of his possessions. This comes on the heels of Keith losing his husband of 30 years just this summer. We're hoping that the community will help rally around the possibility nicest person ever. At the time of the fire, Keith was graciously hosting a homeless friend. Keith gives so much to the world, through his working with children,  his music and his dedication to his church.

After a very scary stint in the ICU, he is now progressing on the hospital's general floor. He is out of the woods; however, he has a long road of recovery ahead and could certainly use everyone's help.

Good Morning Team Luke!!! I can't begin to tell you how incredible this young man is!!  This 14 year old has been in the hospital the last 6 weeks once again fighting for his life with a sense of humor and strength I continue to find mesmerizing! He feels just terrible most days and still finds ways to make his mom and dad laugh!! After no longer being able to see his friends regularly, not going to school, no vacations or ability to participate in the team sports he loves so very much (lacrosse and basketball), I was brainstorming on how to lift his spirits when he breaks out of the confines of the 4 clinical walls he's been calling home for way too long. <br /><br />Luke has fallen in love with the game of golf and dreams about one day going to Hawaii to play. WHY NOT??!!! It would be amazing to make his dream come true and allow his family some much needed rest, time and healing with one another. I can NOT tell you when the trip will be able to take place as Luke is still very much still recuperating and gaining his strength back. However, it seems like no better time than to allow him to begin planning with his parents and brother to give him something awesome to look forward to. <br /><br />Medical bills are NO joke and the family has plenty of them!!! These donations will help pay for airfare, food, hotel, green fees and other preplanned excursions for Luke, Jack, Susan and James for I'm hoping a 5-7 day trip. Luke Allred ALOHA Vacation!!!

In December Taryn started complaining of getting short of breath during volleyball practice. By Jan it was noticable that she was struggling. After seeing a pulmonologist, she was diagnosed with VCD (see below for more info). She has taken steps with speech therapy to try to improve but she needs more help. There is a Dr in Denver who specializes in her condition . He has a team of Drs and therapist that will put her though a week long program to test, train and teach. While there she will be put through multiple tests so that they can make a plan, specifically for her, to be able to move forward and compete at the level she is used to.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and beloved Mr. Terry who passed away surrounded by family yesterday, October 26th. Mr. Terry was originally hospitalized due to complications of cancer and was fighting an impossible battle. This is an incredible loss to everyone and to the Sarah Smith Community, as he was the heart and soul of that school for over 10 years. In addition to his time of service around the hallways and classrooms, he was someone that we all felt deeply connected to.  He was a fixture at school events and always accepted the opportunity to cheer on our children during his free time at their sporting events.  He was also famous for his bear hugs which he gave out willingly to anyone in passing.<br /><br /><br />Sarah Smith has a team  working on ways to honor his legacy and they are finalizing an online memorial to offer condolences to the family and celebrate his impactful life. <br /><br />At this time, the family is asking for privacy as they process his recent death.  When they share additional information we will post those details.<br /><br />There are people who are put on this earth for the sole purpose of serving ones community and bringing joy to everyone in passing. Mr. Terry was truly one of those angels on earth and now in heaven. We love you and we miss you.

On Friday, July 24th, we suddenly and tragically lost our dear and well-loved friend, Cristof. He was a junior at West Hall High School and was an active member of the Band of Silver. Everyone knew him to be a kind and loving person. He always knew how to make us laugh and bring joy to our lives. Due to the unexpected nature of his passing, his family will need help bearing the cost of his funeral and burial. We want to do everything we can to help them in their time of need and let them know how much Cristof means to us. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/41302638_1565729860513261_r.jpeg" alt="41302638_1565729860513261_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />On Monday morning my friends Tricia and Scott Ordway's daughter, Zoe,  was in a horrific car collision at the intersection of Bentley Rd and Post Rd.  Zoe was heading to cross country practice at 6am and was T- boned trying to make a left hand turn onto Post Rd.  The other driver and a fellow team mate came to her aide right away and called 911.  It took them 25 minutes to cut her out of her car.  By the Grace of the Lord she never loss consciousness and her father Scott Ordway was by her side all the way to the hospital.  <br />     <br />     The doctors found that Zoe had broken her left femur,  broken her pelvis in 35spots,  has a crack in her hip socket, and  fractured  her sternum.  The EMT's and doctors told her parents she is extremely lucky to be alive.   From the picture of her car I would call it a MIRACLE!<br /><br />     Zoe has started her long road to recovery with her first surgery to fix her broken femur this am.  Her surgeons are happy with it and Zoe is recovering well.  The next obstacle Zoe will have is her pelvis.  The doctors are holding off her surgery to see if she can endure the pain and allow her pelvis to heal on its own.  The surgery would require a pin across the front of her pelvis which would leave her with a c-section type scar.  Zoe would also never be able to have children naturally.  She will be forced to have cesarean births.   Based on this surgical diagnosis,  Zoe opted to see if she can withstand the pain as her pelvis heals.  They should know by Friday if this will be a possibility.<br /><br />     Zoe has a long road of recovery and physical therapy ahead of her.  She is a multi- sport athlete at West Forsyth High School.  She runs cross country in the fall and plays lacrosse for the Wolverines in the Spring.  She is surrounded by love and prayers from her teammates, coaches and families.  Her plans are to return to her sports stronger than before and I have no doubt with her parents and community behind her,  she will accomplish just that!<br /><br />    This was truly a tragedy.  As many in our community know the intersections on Post Road are dangerous to say in the least.  Every morning and evening rush hours we run the gauntlet to head to school, work, practice...etc.  I have lived here for 20 years and have seen minor and major accidents at these intersections.  The community has spoken about these problem intersections at town meetings to only fall on deaf ears.  Post Road is state run and its time to step up and take responsibility.  As parents we should not have to dread looking at our phones to acknowledge if our children made it to school ok.  Please look at Zoes' car and think about your child sitting in the drivers seat.  Zoe's accident will not be the last without changes to Post Road intersections.  I pray there will be no more tragedies like Zoe's.<br /><br />     Trish and Scott have asked for your prayers but I know they will have major medical and rehabilitation bills ahead for Zoe.  I have created this Go Fund Me page to help with some financial support for Trish and Scott so they do not have to worry about expenses on top of the overwhelming medical issues Zoe will face on her road to recovery.  Your donation will go to towards all of  Zoe's medical expenses.<br /><br />     Our hearts go out to Trish, Scott and their daughter Zoe.  They are humbled by all the love our community has shown since the accident.  I know they appreciated your continued prayers.  We have truly witnessed a miracle yesterday.<br /><br />THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Zoe's Post Road Accident Recovery Fund

On New Year's Eve the McGuinness family's house burned down and they lost almost everything they had. Luckily everyone is okay, but it was a devestating night for their family and to ring in the new year we would love to show them how much their family and friends love and support them.
