I hesitated to start one of these because I thought that by this time we would be out of the hospital and home, but it has taken longer than I anticipated. <strong>My husband got in a motorcycle accident on his way back home from a weekend bike trip.</strong> He has had many complications and a long recovery in the hospital. And there’s still a long recovery expected ahead for us.

<div><strong>We need a little help for two main reasons.</strong> One is that he will be out of work for an unknown amount of time and because he is contracted through an agency, he lacks many benefits such as short-term disability pay. I will be out of work for a bit also to care for him. The other reason is that we are in a different state other than the one we live in and in order to get him back home it will be almost $5000 for transportation out of pocket as he needs medical transport due to his current condition.

<div>The funds that are raised through here will be used for transportation back home to a closer facility where he needs to go for rehab and further care of his injuries. Also, it will aid with bills, pet care, and other medical costs related to this unfortunate event.
