<div>The day after Christmas Keola suffered symptoms that led him to emergency surgery. Doctors found a mass in his brain, after surgery Keolas right side wasn’t fully functioning and we knew it would be a long road to recovery. After days in the ICU and ER he was able to go home. “Home” meant home health care, physical therapy 3x a week and 8 medications Lori administers to him daily. After 4 days of being home- taking walks, slowly getting on his feet, the morning of January 5th Lori and  Natalie noticed something was wrong and he was declining, he was taken to the ER where the doctors are now running tests to find out if there will need to be another surgery, change to his current medication or what other options there are.

<div>As you all know Keola is the sole provider for Lori and their two babies Kawai and Kainoa. He is unable to work and may possibly be undergoing another surgery. The family is facing enormous bills only we can help with. They are the most loving, selfless and genuinely caring and kind people I’ve ever met. Let’s help Keola, Lori and the kids in the most difficult times of their lives.

<div>On behalf of Ralph and our entire family, thank you so much for your generosity. It has warmed our souls during an incredibly difficult time. Of course we never anticipated so much support for Ralph, but we wanted you to know that we are working with a certified financial advisor to establish a Trust to properly receive the funds and use them for all of the original purposes we described. All funds will be used for Ralph's benefit, as his well-being and safety is our highest priority. Right now we will continue to focus on Ralph's recovery, but in the future we are considering setting up a charity.

<div>On Thursday, April 13, 2023, my nephew Ralph P Yarl was on his way to pick up his twin younger brothers from their friend's house a few blocks away from his house. He didn't have his phone. He mistakenly went to the wrong house, one block away from the house where his siblings were. He pulled into the driveway and rang the doorbell. The man in the home opened the door, looked my nephew in the eye, and shot him in the head. My nephew fell to the ground, and the man shot him again. Ralph was then able to get up and run to the neighbor's house, looking for help.

<div>Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up.
</div>

<div>Ralph Pual Yarl is a fantastic kid, and I am not just saying this because he is my nephew. He truly is. At school, he is a member of the Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team. Jazz and competition band. He is a section leader in the marching band; a scholar and one of the top bass clarinet players in Missouri. He recently earned Missouri All-State Band recognition with an honorable mention. He plays multiple instruments in the metropolitan youth orchestra. He is a 2022 Missouri scholar academy alumni. Ralph can often be found with a musical instrument. He loves them all.

<div>Last summer, Ralph attended Missouri Scholar’s Academy, where he got a full college life experience. His goal is to attend Texas A&amp;M to major in chemical Engineering. When asked how he plans to get into this university, he said, “Well, if they have a scholarship for music or academics, I know I can get it.”

<div>Ralph's teacher and friends describe him as “ a kind soul,” “quiet,” “friendly,” “well-mannered,” “always willing to help,” “super smart,” and a “musical genius.”
</div>

<div>Ralph was looking forward to graduating high school and finally getting the opportunity to visit West Africa before starting college.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Life looks a lot different right now. Even though he is doing well physically, he has a long road ahead mentally and emotionally. The trauma that he has to endure and survive is unimaginable. He is our miracle. We have heard these types of stories many times, and unfortunately, most black boys are not alive to get another chance.
</div>

<div>Ralph deserves to have the future that he has dreams about. He deserves to be the light that shows the world that LOVE wins and that humanity is still Good.
</div>

<div>However, he will need a lot of help to get there. Funds from this account will be used for his medical bills and therapy.

The Chasing M's Foundation Community Toy Drive

Trevor was in a bad accident while riding his motorcycle in the desert Saturday afternoon. He was life flighted to desert regional in Palm Springs. He has sustained a severe spinal cord injury, a few broken ribs and a collapse lung. He is awake and talking seems to be in good spirits at this time. Right now we are just waiting for him to go into surgery Monday morning, after we will know more.  What is for sure is a long road to recovery.  Trevor has lots of friends and family by his side. Trevor and his Fiancé Kaeli, both really appreciate the help they have been receiving financially and emotionally

It started in the kitchen and smoke spread throughout their home. Jack Oberg, their dog of 14 years did not survive. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Jack you know he was the best dog ever and the answer to “who’s a good boy”. Among losing their first fur baby they also lost all possessions in the home. All of Aria and Isabelle’s books, toys, and irreplaceable items they have had since infants are now gone. There are some photographs that after being professionally cleaned can maybe be saved. With fires and smoke damage you can’t risk keeping objects that can jeopardize the health and safety of your children. They are now displaced from their home and staying with our mom for the meantime until a more permanent situation can be worked out. The estimated time could be 6-8 months until they can go home again, so hopefully by the fall.<br /><br />As I type this I’m trying to remain calm. The dust has settled a bit and the shock that got us through the first day is wearing off. I find myself randomly crying, having nightmares waking up with overwhelming depression. <br /><br />All I can think is how much both Jon and Valerie have done for me and others. I’m sure Jon has helped you in one way or another weather it’s fixing your car, a home repair or random favor you needed. Valerie is a true hero - teaching 3rd grade, raising two amazing girls and lending out her husband when people need him! They help others always and ask for nothing in return. My sister got me through the roughest parts of my life when I never thought it would get better - she was always there without hesitation. And now she is devastated and all I want to do is help in any way I can.<br /><br />Nothing can replace Jack or Sentimental items but we can help in other ways. I ask that you donate to lift the financial burden, it’s one less thing to worry about during this horrible time. The money raised will go towards toys, books, clothes, food and other things that are needed. I can’t express to you how overwhelming this experience has been for my sister and our family. It’s one thing to see it on the news or hear that it happened but when it’s in front of you and you’re in it - that is entirely different. I hope you all can empathize and find it in your heart to donate. If you can think of other ways to help, maybe doing something fun or helping in some other way please let me know! I want the Oberg's to also have some normalcy during this horrible time. We are taking this one day at a time - it’s all we can do at this point.

<p dir="ltr">We don&#8217;t just say it, we live &#160;and breathe the mentality that we are only as strong as each other. This currently 3rd Nationally ranked flag football team started with a great idea and a lot of dedication. 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">We started this journey 4 years ago around this time with our eyes set on the prize. Green to the game, yet eager and hardworking; we knew we had something special. 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">Over the past 3 Gay Bowl National Tournaments we have continued to develop the foundation required to harvest a championship team. Each year in the tournament we finished in a higher seed than the year prior; showing up with greater expectations for ourselves and our capabilities.&#160; 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">We are a group of women athletes primarily comprised of members of the San Diego American Flag Football League. We play year around in a co-ed league; sizing up with men sometimes twice our size and developing more and more into the kind of athletes we all crave to be. They say &#8220;Victory requires payment in advance&#8221;; well at least our coach&#160;Juice Graves&#160;does! 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">So we work, sweat and train daily to compete at our full potential.&#160; We know the strength of our pack and demand the absolute best of ourselves. Our love and respect for the game is what unifies us and our grind time together is what makes us family! 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">We are on a journey to GayBowl XVI Nationals in Washington D.C. this coming October. Each player sponsors themselves for the tournament and spends 3 days grinding in the hopes of achieving the ultimate goal... A Championship.&#160; This year our team of 18 will be traveling across the country to Washington D.C. and we are asking for your support!!&#160;
