With a very heavy heart we said good-bye to Lyle early this morning.  My world seems like it is unraveling. He was and will forever be the love of my life, my best friend and an amazing father. I have asked God, "why?" many times today and I am sure I will for many days to come.  I find comfort in knowing he is at peace and no longer in pain.  You have fought a good fight.

Never in my life have I ever experience this type of pain, but like Pastor Jeff said, "there will be grace."  As you can imagine there will be hardships and I am overwhelmed by all your love and support.  Many are asking what they can do. For the immediate time being, prayers for "Peace beyond all understanding," are greatly welcomed.

Things have progressed and not for the best. The cancer in his lungs is advancing. There is fluid in his chest cavity that needs to be drained bi-weekly. And there are blood clots that have formed in his lungs. This is causing him great difficulty breathing. The level of oxygen he is needing to help him breathe is too much to sustain him at home. Hopefully the medication he will receive will reduce the blood clots to allow portable oxygen machine to work so he can be home with his wife and children. We appreciate and financial support for medical expenses as these costs are greatly increasing.

It has been 2 years since Lyle's Metastatic Colorectal Cancer diagnosis.  To this day he has endured over 1100 hours of chemotherapy.  All so far with no success and in one case tumor growth until recently.  Lyle began weekly IVC (intravenous vitamin C) in conjunction with Chemotherapy November 2019.  After 12 weeks of this treatment we saw about 40% reduction in his cancer.  At that point Lyle needed a break from the harshness of Chemo, but he continued with oral chemotherapy and IVC.  

Over the next couple of months his cancer pain increased drastically.  He was hospitalized with a partially collapsed lung and underwent numerous Thoracentesis' to remove fluid from this chest cavity.  It was time to take action or let his cancer take him,  it had begun to grow again.  He needed to go back to what was working.  

Friday, May 29th, he and his family received a letter from their insurance no cancer patient wants to receive.  They have been denied for some of the medications used in his chemotherapy regimen to treat his cancer.  Prior to the denial of this treatment he had undergone 7 months of this medication totaling approximately $1,200 per month.  This is a tremendous hardship on his family as he will also need to continue this treatment going forward. 

Lyle is a father of 6 children, 3 of whom who are still living at home, one in middle school and two in their early years of high school. His wife works full time all while looking after the children and Lyle.  She has little to no sick leave or vacation left from missing work to take care of Lyle and shuttling him to and from doctors appointments and weekly chemotherapy treatments. Lyle puts in hours for work from home when he can, but due to the severity of side effects from his chemotherapy treatments this is becoming more and more difficult. Your financial help for mounting medical bills would be greatly appreciated as well as your thoughts and prayers. God bless.

We, as a family, have decided to create this GoFundMe in response to an overwhelming amount of support in the untimely and unexpected passing of a beloved mother of three, grandmother of two, a wife, a dear friend, and business owner — a woman who dedicated her life to not only making anyone and everyone who had the privilege of crossing her path feel good but also look good with her infectious laughter, love, benevolence, talent, and newly opened salon. Sandra’s indubitable impact on countless individuals and communities, including homeless communities, will be forever missed and indebted.   Sandra served the world in numerous ways and undoubtedly deserves a respectable memorial service in return. Sandra's Service and Memorial

Our Young Hero, Jacob, was taken from this world much too soon. He served as an inspiration to his family and to all that have worked with him and met him through his successful battle with osteosarcoma. Jacob unfortunately recently developed a new cancer that took him from his family very quickly. We're raising funds to assist the Simmons' family in defraying costs while they plan a memorial to celebrate Jacob's life and the impact he has made on all of us.

Funeral Expenses for Reginald Diggs

Perry Jenkins is a 19 year old boy who has gone through so much more than someone his age should. At the age of 2 he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He had a defibrillator/pacemaker implanted a few years later. At 17 years old, not knowing how bad his heart was and his pacemaker not responding to his heart, it caused his body to go into shock. Doctors from Hershey Medical center decided it was time to do something about it. Luckily, with how advanced our technology is, he was able to get a total artificial heart. With this device, he was able to do things he's never done before such as playing basketball and he didn't run out of breath as easy as before. This device has helped him for more than a year. Doctors were truly shocked with how bad his heart was and wondered how he was still alive with it. With how many people were also on the transplant list and his blood type being "O negative" it would be hard for him to receive a heart. After being in the hospital waiting on a heart for 8 months or so, Hershey found a match in July of 2015. During his heart transplant came with a lot of complications such as his lungs filling up with fluid and him being allergic to the blood transfusions. With all of the issues, he ended up being in an induced coma for 2 weeks and lost the ability of knowing how to walk and having to be on dialysis 3 times a week. After his body some what healed from surgery, he went off to rehab to learn how to walk again. Perry was in rehab for a couple of weeks and finally was able to come home November of 2015. Recently, he has been having fevers, coughing, rapid weight loss, tired all of the time, and no appetite. No one thought anything of it and just thought it was either side effects from the tons of medication he takes or even dialysis. He then had to go to the hospital to get checked out. With testing, doctors thought he had pneumonia and then bronchitis. Unfortunately, Perry got mononucleosis during his heart transplant sometime and it caused a tumor in his lung. Doctors have told us he has lymphoma cancer and have started chemotherapy. Perry has been heavily sedated and under paralyzed anaesthesia. Hes on a ventilator, ECMO, kidney dialysis, and also has bleeding in his brain.. Perry is 19, he spent most of his life in the hospital. (He even graduated in the hospital, spent birthdays and holidays there) With this donation it will help contribute with any medical or needs for him. With the power of a prayer, we know how wonderful God's healing can be!

A Prayer For Perry

My 7 year-old-nephew Joey is the light of our family &amp; captures the heart of just about everyone he meets! He has a love for sports and he is a superstar soccer &amp; basketball player! Joey loves WWE wrestling, especially John Cena. (Check out his cool picture &amp; page name! Thanks Dan &amp; Angie!) Joey became a big brother in May &amp; just loves entertaining his baby brother Robbie. He is just the best kid ever. Just recently Joey has been getting severe headaches. Joey has since spent many nights in the hospital and has bravely gone through many tests, including a biopsy on a mass on his brain. He now faces six weeks of radiation &amp; chemotherapy to fight off a high grade astrocytoma brain tumor. Joey is a strong, brave kid &amp; we know that he will fight his hardest against this awful disease.  Our family appreciates all of the kind words &amp; prayers that we have already received!
