Recently, I experienced something I never thought would happen to me. Scammers called my workplace, pretending to be with the sheriff's office, and convinced me to send them money. I was so scared and overwhelmed that I didn't stop to ask questions, and now I'm left scraping for pennies just to get by. It's been a really difficult time, and I feel embarrassed and shaken by what happened. The money I lost was meant to help me pay court fees and other legal expenses that I truly have to cover.
