<div>It is with heavy hearts that we share our dear sister's beloved father, Thomas Studie, has walked on this August 27th, 2023. Thomas was not only a beloved father, husband, and grandfather, but an original speaker of the Cherokee language, a storyteller, and knowledge holder. A Vietnam Veteran, he remained humble in the many ways he used his life to serve others. A survivor of the boarding school era, he made sure his family understood Cherokee history and remained proud in their rich Cherokee culture. Many community members turned to Thomas for language and Cherokee traditional knowledge and he was a great source of inspiration for DeLanna's one woman show "And So We Walked", where she was able to retrace the Trail of Tears with her father as a guide.

They lived in an apartment in Stockton with their belongings and furniture and new baby clothes and accessories as expectant parents. On January 2nd in Stockton, California at the E. Flora Street Apartments managed through "Real Estate Property Services" completely burned down, scattering the residents of the 15 unit building out into the street. County services are tight due to COVID-19 and they need help now.<br /><br />That night, they lost everything and helped others to safety as their apartment was the second to catch fire that night. The landlords have not returned their January rent or security deposit (as per law) yet, so...they are living on a relatives couch right now with nothing but their car in their possession.  They need support from the community now and are too humble and shy to ask, so family friends are teaming up to help them.<br /><br />Mark was a promising Business Student at Holy Names University before starting his family, and his mother has been a beloved staff member at this same university for years. Alexis is his new bride who is overjoyed to build a family with her new husband and to start their lives off right - but now they need our help.<br /><br />Anything you can donate will go directly and in full to this young couple so they can give their new baby a place to call home as soon as possible. GoFundMe is one way we are collecting donations immediately, however, we are willing to accept gift cards, baby supplies (especially) and anything you can think of that will help this couple get back on their feet.<br /><br />God Bless You all for reading this and considering this young couple for your support.</strong>

Help the Bailey Family Rebuild From a Fire

This all started at the end of September. Who would’ve thought going into the doctor for an ongoing sinus infection would have turned into such devastating news. I will continue to post updates as I have new information for all of you. Thank you all so much for the prayer, support, and donations. Both my mom and dad are beside themselves with how much love has surrounded them. From the bottom of all our hearts....thank you, thank you, thank you
