<div>Hi folks, my name is Matthew Stratton, and I am a recovering drug addict. I've spent almost all of my adult life in prison, and when I wasn't in prison, I was probably in some alleyway trying to get my fix. I am 703 days sober from everything. When I was released from prison a few years ago, I ended up getting robbed and shot in the process. I was shot in my right leg and had to have it amputated. I get around okay on the prosthetic leg that I have, but since I only have the minimum of insurance, they will only pay the least amount possible. I have a dog now; his name is Tank. He is a red nose pit bull, and I don't know what I would do without him. I owe most of my sobriety to him and, of course, God. But if I didn't have Tank, I wouldn't really have a reason to get out of bed every day. He needs me, and I need him.

<div>I'm starting this GoFundMe because <strong>the prosthetic leg that I have now is not suitable for my everyday business.</strong> Tank and I love to go walking and running, and I can even ride a bike, but I'm just really limited to what I can do. As you can see, Tank is a big dog and requires a lot of exercise, but I just can't give it to him with the prosthetic I have now. <strong>I'm asking the community and friends if they could help us, Tank and I, to reach our goal of $4000.</strong> That is what it's going to cost for the prosthetic that I need to be able to be more active and therefore be there for my doggy.
