</div>
<div>Olá amiguinhos,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sei que muitos de vocês ainda não me conhecem, mas eu rápido me apresento:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Os papás usam vários aparelhos para me ajudar a tossir e retirar as secreções.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Apesar disso, nunca perco o sorriso.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>POR FAVOR,
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>

<div><strong>_________________________________ ENGLISH______________________________ </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello little friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know that many of you don't know me yet, but I'll introduce myself quickly:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm Mateus, better known as the Bébé Sorriso I have a rare, neuromuscular, and degenerative disease called SMARD (Spinal Muscular Atrophy with Respiratory Insufficiency).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The history of the disease states that all the muscles in my body gradually weaken over the months.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since I was 6 months old, I've been immobilized from the waist down and I need the support of a ventilator to breathe 24 hours a day because my lungs have also lost the strength to function on their own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have a tracheotomy and I've been fed through a gastric button since I was 6 months old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My parents use various devices to help me cough and remove secretions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On July 10, 2023, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It has been a difficult phase because my mom, being my full-time caregiver, now has one more thing to worry about!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite all this, I never lose my smile.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We moved to Braga (Portugal) about 1 year ago to undergo intensive physical rehabilitation therapies. I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm improving! ❤️❤️❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All my therapies are paid for with the help I receive on my social media pages "Mateus, bébé sorriso"
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I undergo therapies at a clinic called <a href="https://saluslive.pt/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">SalusLive</a> every day, but unfortunately, as I grow and with so many bags and equipment that my mom has to carry, it's becoming increasingly difficult to take me there.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In addition to our transport van being over 20 years old, it doesn't have air conditioning (SMARD causes excessive sweating regardless of the time of year). My mom is finding it harder and harder to lift me and place me in the car seat... always with the ventilator beside me, as I'm 100% dependent on it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I can't describe to you what days of heavy rain or extreme heat are like – a logistical nightmare, but I've never missed a therapy session, even amidst torrential rain during the car transfers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So, we gather our courage and come here to ask for your help, solidarity, and support in order to buy an adapted vehicle (second-hand) so that our transportation logistics become easier.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With an adapted vehicle, I could enter directly with my stroller through a ramp, without getting soaked in rain, cold, or wind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If the vehicle had air conditioning (AC)... that would be the cherry on top.
</div>
<div>Believe me, AC isn't just a cliché; on days of extreme heat, it would make a huge difference in my long journeys ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>PLEASE,
</div>
<div>Can I count on your donation to help us get an adapted van?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In less than 1 month, I'll be turning 5 years old, and it would be the best gift you could give me ❤️
</div>
<div>Life has shown me that 'It's only impossible until it happens'!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Join us, help make my mom's life easier as she takes me every day to the place where they help me gain strength, resilience, and courage to face these two diseases that life has destined for me ☹️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A little from everyone costs less, and I feel like you won't let me down!!!
</div>
<div><br />

</div>
