<div>Early this morning (Thursday, January 29th) a fast moving fire claimed the home of my ex husband, Ben, and his two tiny furbabies, Pickles &amp; Wembley.
</div>

<div>They are lucky to be alive after a lithium ion battery for his scooter that had been charging suddenly exploded. Within minutes his home was engulfed in flames. He didn’t even have time to grab his shoes.
</div>

</div>
<div>They’ve lost everything and are now facing an uncertain future with many challenges ahead in the days, weeks and months to come. He’s had a particularly rough go of it, losing both of his parents and his older brother all within the span of a year and a half. He was recently laid off from work and now finds himself and his two pups starting over with nothing but each other, the clothes on his back and the care kits the Red Cross so kindly provided.

Help Ben, Pickles & Wembley After Devastating Fire

<div>Illan Moshe Yaakov, was brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists during the Nova festival on October 7. Since then, the entire family's world have turned upside down.
</div>
<div>The government is supporting mainly the parents, but there is not much support for the siblings who are also trying to move pass that tragedy.
</div>
<div>Since the support from the government is so minimal,we are hoping this fundraiser will help fill in the gap for us.
</div>
<div>The funds are going towards mental health care for Illan's siblings, which the government is willing to help only with the use of specific providers which are not used by us, 
</div>
<div>and towards bills since his sister, Neta, is not able to work, yet has to provide for her two kids.
</div>

<div>We, the siblings, feel overlooked.

<div>After weeks and days with no news about our brother’s whereabouts

Melissa Powell and Riordan Powell - Surviving Sons

<div>It is with heavy hearts that we write these words. On Oct. 18th, the beautiful soul of 17 year old Gunar Shaffer left this world by taking his own life. HIs family and friends are in utter shock as he hid his intention from every single one of us who loved him.

<div>He was a senior in high school and had excelled in advanced placement classes, leading us to believe he was looking forward to college. He loved animals and nature, had a broad range of interests and was meticulous and conscientious in everything he did. He earned his own money working at odd jobs in the community and everyone who hired him raved about his enthusiastic attitude and hard working ethics. He was adamant about the destructiveness of drugs, his estranged father having been caught up and trapped in them when Gunar was young. He was raised, with his younger brother, by their single mom, Heather. From that young age when their father disappeared, Gunar was always jumping in to help his mom in every way he could. From her, he learned to treat everyone with respect and compassion, which he embraced fully. His absence is a void that feels more vast with each passing day.

<div>We remember Gunar as this bright spirit that whenever he entered a room, it lit up with his presence.

It is with great sadness we share the loss of the Broncos greatest fan. Kerry and his son Wes have been the Mile High Monsters for the past 15 years. Kerry was a lifelong season ticket holder and has never missed a home game since donning the pom-poms. He was able to make it<font color="#333333"> to San Francisco for the Broncos last championship in Super Bowl 50. A dedicated </font>Broncos fan, many have wonderful memories shared with Kerry supporting his favorite team.
