<div>My name is Cristi Tucker, and I have been a resident of Lansing for seven years. My story is extensive, but I will summarize it briefly. During my first year, Doug Munro opened a door for me by vetting me to be included in his book, “Painters and Their Paintings of Ashe County.” Since then, I have grown exponentially each year, meeting many influential individuals along the way.

<div>Steven Howell, the owner of Liar’s Bench and the nonprofit Bridges to Recovery, founded the Liar’s Loft as The Hope and Healing Gallery. Its purpose was to raise funds to assist our fellow residents of Lansing in rebuilding and to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their talents. He approached me with an opportunity to take over the Gallery and make it my own.

<div>I have always aspired to create a safe and supportive space for creatives of all kinds. This opportunity presented itself, and I seized it with both hands. However, my current financial situation is limited, and <strong>I humbly request art supply donations and monetary contributions to continue the transformative work and enable me to continue giving back to this vibrant community and its people.</strong>

<div>My ultimate goal is to establish an after-school program and/or individual art instruction. I am currently building a diverse team of instructors to offer instruction in various media. Additionally, I plan to provide walk-in creative activities and crafts. Furthermore, I envision hosting various other events to attract visitors to our town and benefit our small business community.
