<div><strong>UPDATE: 5/18/25</strong> - Jodi and her family are overwhelmed with the love and support you have shown Hendrix and her family. She shared with me today that knowing they will have access to these advanced therapies feels like a dream come true. She wants to share her gratitude and thankfulness with each of you. <div>Our daughter, Jodi, her husband, Chris, and their beautiful family, including Kolby, Cooper, Callie, and Hendrix Buckles, need our support! They are an incredible, giving family; hard-working and deeply involved in their community. When their youngest son, Hendrix, arrived in 2018, they never expected that two and a half years later, an autism diagnosis would change their lives and introduce them to a love and advocacy like no other. While they accept and support Hendrix for all he is, they are also on a quest to support their son and want to leave no stone unturned.

<div>This summer, Hendrix, who is 7 years old and non-speaking, has an opportunity to receive intensive therapy at the <a href="https://www.neurosolutionatx.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Neurosolution Center of Austin</a>, one of only two of its kind in the world offering advanced functional neurology through modern modalities. The goal is for Hendrix to gain communication skills, and help him use language independently. The Center has incredible outcomes and utilizes cutting-edge technologies, combining laser light therapy, primitive reflex integration, vagus nerve rehab and song-laser activated plasma; with a renowned team of diverse specialists. The Neurosolution Center of Austin has helped so many families who were told their healing goals were unattainable, the powerful journeys and testaments have been awe-inspiring.

<div>Anyone who knows Jodi knows she loves nothing more than being a Mother. Hendrix was the happiest, sweetest, big blue-eyed baby, hit every single milestone, and was developing beautifully. Around the age of 18 months, he began to show some significant regression, and by 2 years old, Jodi recognized that he was losing developmental skills, eye contact, and language. At 2.5 years old, during COVID, Hendrix was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), had lost most of his language, but is making some strides and recovery with support.

<div>After the initial grief, Jodi and Chris got to work, getting Hendrix every support and therapy available to him. The last five years have been filled with speech and occupational therapy, chiropractic care, an overhaul of his diet, lifestyle changes, functional medicine, and a one-on-one aide through special education. Hendrix is now a Kindergartner at the Waldorf school Jodi teaches at and is happy and growing each day. However, his ability to use expressive language is not meeting goals. He is non-speaking, minimally verbal and is a gestalt communicator.

<div>Navigating a world without the ability to communicate presents daily challenges. Jodi and Chris feel strongly that Hendrix can learn to speak and long to hear him use language independently. Unfortunately, they have had very little success accessing advanced ASD therapies through their healthcare and insurance provider. The costs to access therapy outside of their insurance plan are simply out of reach for their family. But, they are determined and will continue to move forward - with our support - to address each challenge ASD brings.

<div>We have started this GoFundMe to help my daughter and her family afford the intensive therapy that is not covered by insurance, as well as the costs associated with travel to Austin. The therapy alone costs $20K, plus travel costs and missed photography work for Jodi. They need financial support, prayers, and care. I humbly ask you to join her Mom and I in coming together, at any level, to support Hendrix and their family so they can give Hendrix every chance he deserves.
