Hi, my name is Emily Cline Holcomb. It’s with a heavy heart, that I’m here raising money to help the family of Mauro Rosalino Gonzalez with his funeral expenses and family support, while they grieve the loss of their beloved father and husband. Mauro Rosalino Gonzalez,39, of Greenfield, Indiana, was tragically killed in a car accident on Saturday, May 14 in Hancock County Indiana while on his way to work. This is a shocking and devastating blow to our entire family, but especially for his wife, Valerie, and the 5 children he leaves behind. He was originally from Oaxaca, Mexico and came here in his teens looking for a better life for himself and his family. I can only imagine how hard and scary it would be to leave your entire family behind and move to a totally different country, that speaks a different language, where you don’t know anyone, knowing you will have to face ignorance and racism from many people, on the hopes of a better life for yourself and your family. This is what Mauro did. He came here and worked A LOT!, eventually meeting his wife and starting their family. He was an amazing provider and the hardest working person that Ive ever known. He was always willing to help his family any way he could. Usually working 3-4 jobs at the same time to be able to provide his family with the best life that he possibly could. It was a very proud moment for him and our family when after years of hard work, he finally received his United States citizenship in 2019. He loved his family very much and worked very hard to give them a good life. Sadly their time together was cut tragically short and their lives will never be the same. His wife has always been a stay at home mom, so this is going to be a big change for her and take some time to adjust to. But they need to grieve first. Their world has been turned upside down. It breaks my heart to think about what they’re going through and the added stress it’s causing her to have to worry about how she will be able to manage things and give their kids what they need when it doesn’t even seem real yet. I want to help them, but I can’t do it alone, so I’m here asking you to please help them if you can. All money will go towards funeral costs and help cover living expenses while they grieve and adjust to life after this life shattering event. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. If you want to help, but can’t donate, please share. It really does help to get the story out there. Thank you and we appreciate your support.

My 7 year old German Shepherd, Sydney has heart worms and needs treatment to survive. Treatment is estimated to be $1400 and as a single mom, I don’t have the extra money at all. She’s been a loyal loving member of our family for 7 years and I desperately want her to have the chance she deserves. We appreciate your support very much.

I feel really bad about making this fundraiser as we are all going through tough times and this is a pet. This is Kully, he was found abandoned in new Liskeard Ontario this fall. He is currently 9 months old. We adopted him in December 2020. Since we’ve had him he’s had numerous trips to the vet, tried a few different antibiotics and treatments. We have determined he has a Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) Disease. It’s fatal in felines with no government approved medications. There is however experimental drugs with a success rate of 80% up to 97%. This poor little guy was an amazing family pet, we are trying the fundraiser to help assist us in the fees associated with the medication. We are getting help from a few FIP Facebook groups and the FIP warriors page. We are at are last step and attempt to save Kully, as he is now having vision problems and motor skills are declining. our only next step would be to euthanize him as this will only progress. We would only take the funds we require to help pay for medication and any extra would be donated back to the FIP group to assist other families.

Help Kully with Feline infectious peritonitis

Hello Everyone, 2020 has been working hard at sucking the joy out of everything. Amidst family death, the current plague, civil unrest, and a host of other things, this year has decided to wreak havoc on the health of our cats as well. This year alone has brought us a diagnosis of multiple dentals, diabetes for Dmitry, oral cancer for Erika, and Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) for Venus. We have been weathering this storm as best we can, but the veterinary bills are mounting quickly. It is difficult for us to ask for your help, as we know that this year has been hard for all. We have currently spent over $10,000 for our various vet bills with more on the way. Any gift that you can spare towards offsetting this is greatly appreciated. Our cats are family and we strive to do all that we can for their health. Prayers and/or well wishes are also welcome, we can definitely use them. Many thanks!

Help Venus Beat FIP & Erika's Cancer Treatment

As most of you already know I have fostered cats throughout my life. Sara is one of my "foster failures". I rescued her from death row at NYC ACC in Brooklyn so that I could foster her and adopt her out but I couldn't part with her once I brought her home. This tough little girl wasn't even a pound when I got her and she still held her own from day 1 with the rest of the cats I had at home. She was sick but we got her back to health and from then on she was a force to be reckoned with. She owns my 85 pound pitbull , She was always a little girl but even at a mere 11 pounds she was built like a linebacker. As of late, she has gotten very sick, weak, and eventually diagnosed with dry FIP. There is an experental treatment that has proven to be very effective and the majority of cats on it survive. The only problem is that it's extremely expensive. She's my tough little girl but now she needs me to fight for her. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. There are no quitters in this family. She's gonna beat this but I just need some help with the funds. Please give what you can. Every dollar helps. And share this campaign. Help me get her through this. And give her the gift of her life back for Christmas ❤️

Sara's Final Stretch... She's almost there!!!❤️

Hey there, I’m Amanda, and I am devastated to say that my sweet kitty, Oogie, was just diagnosed with FIP. FIP is a feline virus that is fatal unless treated. Unfortunately, the only medication for this virus costs about $3,000, and then it will be around $1,000 more for the bloodwork, supplies, and appointments he will be needing throughout the 84-day treatment. I simply cannot afford it. I am desperate to save him; I love him so much and would be absolutely heartbroken if I lost him—especially to something treatable. The treatment is 95% effective, and Oogie is a great candidate for it since we caught it fairly early.

My poor little Oog is only 3; he has so many more boxes to nap in, so many more faucets to drink from, so many more houseflies to hunt, so many more snuggles to give, and SO much more life to live. We appreciate anything that you can contribute. He is truly the sweetest kitty I’ve ever met, and I want many more years with him. ♡

(If you have any suggestions on cheaper alternatives of GS-441524, any questions regarding vet records/diagnosis/legitmacy please feel free to reach out to either my husband or myself at any given time. We are willing to listen to any and all helpful concerns.) We have decided to go with Free Cat for treatment total treatment is $3,108. We are currently seeking help for the first 2 weeks of treatment, as well as subcutaneous fluids & A/D, to gauge Loki's health and reaction, as well as have time to gather the remaining fees. More information below. LOKI'S DIAGNOSIS: Loki was taken into the vet about 2 weeks ago for a checkup because he had some pain in his teeth. They said it definitely looked like he needed teeth cleaning. We scheduled him for Thursday of that week- two days later. As I had previously posted, they noticed he had serious infections of fourth teeth and removed them. He is almost 3 years old, so I was surprised this would happen so young. No big deal, he had the teeth removed and was sent home with oral antibiotics(2x daily) and pain medication(once daily). For three days we gave him his medication and he fought us tremendously on it as most cats do, but I was super worried because it was stressing him out, and he started refusing to eat. We took him in as soon as we noticed he wouldn’t eat anymore. The vet's sort of shrugged it off, mentioned he was just scared of us trying to give him medication, his weight was still similar, and he was probably sneaking out from under the bed at night to eat. That didn’t seem right because I actually never physically saw him move. They told us to stop the oral medication and would instead give him injections of pain and antibiotics. I figured the first day of shots he would be out of it, but he never really seemed to come to. It was unreal how out of it he was and he wouldn’t respond to much. I tried for an entire day to get him to actually eat, and he wouldn’t. Not ciao packets, not wet food, not dry food, not treats. During that day he sat, facing the bookshelf and didn’t move. His eyes were sunken in, you could feel his skull, hips, and spine and his belly was bloated. We went to the vet yesterday afternoon(09/05/2020) and when we told them everything we knew of and were asked if we wanted ultrasounds and bloodwork done. I said yes, thinking that maybe he just needed to be syringe/tube-fed, as I didn’t realize prior to tooth extractions that cats can and will starve themself. What was supposed to take 30 minutes took 2 hours. When we picked him up, they told us with all of his symptoms, it is likely he has developed wet FIP. They pulled a yellow/orange like fluid from his abdomen, and we weren’t given very much advice. The vet technician said in all of his 10 years with America and Okinawa, he had only seen it 3 times, with Loki included. I was extremely frightened and even more so with looking it up. I’m in tears and I don’t know what to do. I researched for hours last night and originally found a supplement called Mutian. (It’s helped hundreds of cats already to get into remission, but I need help on what to do next. It is an 84 day treatment plan, at $72 per day. Totaling to $6,048. Loki is 4.3kg with suspected Wet FIP, he was quoted at needing 450mg per day of Mutian. https://www.mutian.com ) This carries a guarantee past the 84 day window, HOWEVER, we did find another supplement of GS-441524, that does not carry the past 84 day guarantee, but is much more attainable and affordable. This one is called Free Cat. www.letsfreecat.com With Loki's weight, I was quoted at 2.15ml per day for 84 days. That puts us at $3,108 instead. We are asking for help the first two weeks of his dosage, and will go/purchase/fundraise as necessary. At this moment, we are applying for care credit, and through our personal bank Navy Federal, but cannot get ahold of either credit company until Tuesday due to Labor Day weekend. The sooner we start his medication, the better. I have a gracious friend/client who has offered their off base address in order to get the medication to us quicker (The medication ships from Hong Kong). Any and all help is extremely appreciated. Donations and sharing mean the absolute world to us, as time is of the essence with Wet FIP. We originally had a savings account for our cats, but have expended it on his surgeries and tests. I will attach all our veterinarians phone number - we are located in Okinawa Japan, so they have limited English speaking staff. George is the primary vet tech on our case. I will also attach all photos we have pertaining to this situation.
