<div>My name is Adam Ali. I’m originally from Liverpool, England and now currently living in Dubai, UAE. I’m married and have three kids—one son and two daughters. I knew what it was like to struggle financially, which is why I’ve spent the last several years helping others in need.

<div>This fundraiser is for Mohammed Abulafi and his wife Ayah Abulafi and their four children, a family I’ve personally been supporting for the past two years who are located in Gaza. I’ve been in regular contact with them through WhatsApp—video calls, voice notes, and messages. I’ve seen firsthand what they’ve endured, and I’ve included photos of their situation so people can truly understand their reality.

<div>I first connected with Mohammed nearly two years ago through a friend who knew them personally, and since then, we’ve built a strong friendship.

<div>A Life of Constant Fear and Survival
</div>

</div>
<div>For the past two years, Mohammed and his family have been living on the run, moving more than eight times to escape danger. Over the last year, they had no home and were forced to live on Gaza Beach in a tent.
</div>
<div>•	They endured flooding, extreme cold, and minimal food.
</div>
<div>•	They were often left hungry for days, barely surviving.
</div>
<div>•	A bomb was dropped right next to their tent, killing Mohammed’s 10-year-old cousin.
</div>
<div>•	They have witnessed horrific things that no one—especially children—should ever have to see.
</div>

<div>Their Home Is Completely Destroyed
</div>

</div>
<div>Recently, after the current ceasefire, they returned to what was left of their home because the beach was too cold, and their tent kept flooding. You can see a photo of their destroyed home in the GoFundMe gallery.

<div>•	There’s no transportation, no sewage system, no infrastructure.
</div>
<div>•	They are stranded in unlivable conditions, with no way to survive.

<div>After two years of efforts, we have finally secured passports for all six family members. They are now awaiting entry permission into Egypt, expected in the next 4-6 weeks. Once they enter, the goal is to relocate them to Cairo or Alexandria, where they can begin rebuilding their lives in safety.

<p>******************* UPDATE*****************<br /><br />I know everyone is wanting an update and everyone wants to know how Katie is. As you can imagine her family are so upset by everything  happening and needed time to process all of this information…… 
</p>

<p>katie had her operation on 22nd of February.  Unfortunately due to complications she has been on a ventilator and needing some assistance since and hasn’t  been able to fully come around yet She suffered a stroke during her operation which has led to other complications. The family are by her side and continue to wait for some progress. As you can understand they are inundated. So if people could be mindful of this as there trying to process all of this too. 
</p>

<p>Plans are being put in place for what’s next. 
</p>

<p><br />*********************************************<br /><br />I know not everyone is aware what my beautiful friend is going through at the minute. But what she has had to endure the past few months in truly heart breaking. Katie hasn’t been well for quite some time and only recently found out she has a rare stage 4 brain tumour called a Atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (ATRT) after a long battle of getting to the bottom of it which has took it toll on her and her family. She is a Fabulous mum of 2 a wonderful friend and a beautiful person and I’ve found myself asking daily why, why her? <br /><br /><br /><br /><br />This brain tumour is rare and only ever seen in younger children. 58 people globally  are diagnosed with this tumour with only 2 of them ever being adults. Doctors are unsure and are not able to give a prognosis due to them never ever treating an adult with this type of brain tumour before. So while not only paving the way for others there’s still a lot of uncertainty for her and her family. She is due to have an operation on the 22nd February 2022 to try an remove as much of the tumour as possible. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br />The future is still unclear at the minute, she is needing support 24 hours a day, she can’t work and her partner is working were possible while also trying to support her. What we are trying to do is raise vital funds so she can have a break away when she is feeling better but massively to provide provide a financial break to give her some time to not have to worry about bills or money and to be able to just live comfortably. She hasn’t been able to work for months so the impact of this has hit hard. We are going to be holding. A charity night on the 25th of February. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Anything at all you can donate will be a massive to help to her and a family. He was due to celebrate his 3rd birthday on the 23rd of November, but tragically was taken ill on the 6th with a seizure. As Lewis was rushed to Alder Hey and treated for this, they found out through blood work that he was experiencing acute liver failure. On the 7th November Lewis was transferred to Birmingham Children's Hospital where he had a lot of tests and scans including an MRI and was treated for his failing liver. <br /><br />Each day that passed Lewis seemed to deteriorate and within just 3 days he had another MRI scan and the damage that was shown appeared to be catastrophic brain damage that continued to worsen. We were told if we were to keep him on life support he would unlikely survive with how fast his brain was swelling and beginning to die. We made the hardest decision as parents to turn his life support off and take away all the pain and suffering he had endured in such a short time. We spent all of the day on the 13th of November being close to him and making lots of keepsakes and memories. <br /><br />At 7 pm I held my baby boy in my arms and began to read him his favourite bedtime story before turning the machine off. I then held him until his last breath. Our baby boy Lewis Anthony Robinson forever loved and missed xxxx
