<div>Well, a beautiful vintage black southern short film that I worked on named <strong><em>"Grace"</em></strong> is going to <strong>Sundance Film Festival</strong>!

<div>I have only been working in film/production as a Production and Costume Designer since 2018, letting my installation and creative direction skills fuel me. I never dreamed that my work would be recognized by an organization like Sundance Film Festival, especially as a newbie. But truthfully, my work on Grace was one of my favorites. I truly impressed myself and the camera team captured it all so beautifully!

<div>I've been promising myself, and my therapist, to celebrate myself more. We often forget that part as freelancers, ready for the next project, for the next opportunity, for the next check. <div>Aaliyah is a model and actress, but also a caregiver and friend. In the past year Aaliyah has had to overcome several devastating events, starting with the loss of their mother to cancer. They had been caregiving for a long time, and while the loss was not surprising, it was especially hard as they were so so close.

<div>Saddled with the responsibility of paying for the memorial services, Aaliyah still managed to make it out here in LA. Unfortunately and very suddenly, her father passed away this year. Those funeral costs compounded with the current strikes prolonged by the AMPTP have put them in a tight spot.

<div>Aaliyah is young and so gifted. An artist, frankly. And while there is no good time to lose any loved ones, it's especially difficult when you're in your twenties and the industry you work in shuts down.

<div>My name is Lydia; I'm a filmmaker, artist, and founder of my young production company, <a href="https://twoacrefilms.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Two Acre Films</a>. I created this GoFundMe to support a dream I'm avidly working to bring into reality: attending a 2-month Film Directing program this summer in Berlin, Germany.

<div>Attending this program will not only be an invaluable opportunity to bolster my directorial vision and skill sets, but will also connect me to an international film community, and provide an experience that will stay with me for my entire lifetime. In my youth, the story I believed about the film industry was that this career path was "difficult to break into." In my adulthood, dismantling these beliefs and giving myself the tools and experiences to bring meaningful films into this world has become my passion. Whether stories from the community or stories of my own,<strong><em> I aim to become a director who creates films that allow us to escape to our healing. </em></strong>

She started her tea &amp; wellness company Beauty Herbs &amp; Tea last year, and through the success of her business, she was able to help others who desired to start a herbal business. She created The Tea Business School, where she has assisted over 1000 people start their herbal businesses and gain financial freedom.

Help Turn My 87 Into An Ecovillage

My dog Carmen was attacked by another dog on March 3rd, 2021. The veterinarian was hopeful at first, but Carmen's wounds proved fatal overnight. Words cannot describe what Carmen meant to me. For almost 12 years, she was by my side. She was my best friend, and I miss her dearly.<br /><br />I am in the process of locating the dog owner that fled the scene after the attack. However, I have not been able to reach him yet. I am starting this fundraiser to help pay off the vet bills that I have accumulated during the last two days of Carmens life at the emergency vet. I want to thank everyone who has reached out to me. I feel so blessed to have such kind and thoughtful people in my life. <br /><br />If I am able to pursue a small claims lawsuit, all funds raised from this site will be donated to the ASPCA.
