As well as medical bills , supplies for evie, special chair , seat, g-tube clothing, which makes access to her feeding tube so much easier and discreet. This will also help us find housing. <div>Hello, my name is Frank, and this is my daughter Evie. She had her first seizure at the age of 3-1/2 months. We later discovered with genetic testing she has a seizure disorder called Dravet Syndrome, which causes very difficult to manage seizures, for her they have lasted 1-2hrs with adult dosages of seizure rescue meds.

<div>She is now 19 months old.

<div>On August 6th she suffered a 4-1/2 hour seizure due to a fever spike from having RSV. This happened while sedated and intubated and connected to EEG. When sedation was weaned off and tube removed 12 days later, we found she lost her ability to talk, walk and eat etc. due to Hypoxic Brain Injury.

<div>With that being said, my wife Kaytlin had to stop working altogether. I am currently the sole provider to our family of four. We have medical bills over 1 million dollars pending with insurance.

<div>My wife is working toward becoming Evie's caregiver paid by Medicaid, she will need a few months of CNA training first.
</div>

<div>We live up in the mountains at almost 10,000ft which has made it difficult for Evie to breathe without oxygen with her new condition.
</div>
<div>Also during emergencies for Evie she has an ambulance ride for 45min-1hr 30min out to the hospital or Flight for Life if necessary.
</div>
<div><strong>We need to be closer to family and the hospital.</strong> Our only choice is to leave this place we have called home for 10 years. Our plan is to move to Illinois, closer to family and medical care for Evie. We have to leave my business I've worked the past few years to build, which is our only income. The goal is to be in a house with no stairs since we do not know Evies long term possibilities and she is currently immobile.

<p>❣️please share❣️<br />Graphic/Abuse/Hate/<br /><br /><br />Hey, everyone.. you may or may not have seen already, but I was attacked by a man named Christian Herbert a day before my birthday. It’s a lot, but I want to share my story. The truth...<br /><br />Firstly..... I’m 6’1 170lbs not an ounce of muscle on my body and i am a man.<br /><br />So basically, he invited me over to ‘hangout’<br />We ‘hungout’ for a while but it just wasnt working out so i wanted to leave and I grabbed my phone to put my address in the GPS, when suddenly he took it from my hand. Obviously I was like “what are you doing?” and he was like “what are you doing?” I told him I’m putting in my GPS to go home and to give me my shit back. So then I struggled with him and finally got my phone out of his grip. I grabbed my keys and wallet and as I went to climb out the window (he had me come in through his window) he grabbed the back of my shirt and slammed me on to the floor, put his legs on my arms then started punching me in the face. I guess he was choking me at some point too cause I have choke marks all around my neck. I honesty have no idea how I managed to slip away. I know it sounds really cheesy, but it’s like god literally gave me the strength to get him off me, jump through the window, and escape to my car. I locked my doors and drove down the block to call the police. When I escaped through the window, I looked back and he terrified me by the look in his eyes when I finally was able to escape I truly believe he was trying to kill me. I went to the hospital and thankfully he was in jail then realized and were still unsure why But now kbecause of this I had a minor brain bleed and have a broken jaw and nose. I’ve been in the hospital now for 3 days and I’m still waiting to have the surgery I need.. but I don’t have insurance so they’re having a hard time finding a doctor who’s willing to do the surgery. I do plan on pressing charges to the fullest extent.<br /><br />Yeah, idk.. so that’s why I had to spend my 26th birthday in a hospital. All because I trusted a meet up with a man who was obviously so insecure that he decided to nearly kill me over it. And if god, or who/whatever, didn’t give me the strength to escape I don’t think I would be alive right now.<br /><br />I’m still in shock that something like this happens to people all the time. Like, you hear about people being assaulted and even killed for just being themselves and I never thought it would happen to me, but it did. Just be careful who you meet online, you really never know what could happen.<br /><br />I just wanna thank everyone for supporting me through this and donating and sharing my story.
