<div>I'm Garth, a New Yorker that lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, and I am starting this campaign on behalf of a friend and fellow artist. During the Eaton fire of January 2025, <strong>my friend in art and in life, Sue, and her family Buck and Milo lost everything they worked so hard to obtain over 20 years in a matter of hours.</strong> As a fellow artist, I know how unique each work is, each prop or photo, a show or a piece that will not be mounted again, but at least there are keepsakes. For my dear friend who I met 15 years ago on a production for Cirque Berzerk, those are all gone now. Years of custom-designed costumes, props... unique pieces that will not be seen or made again. Not to mention, their home and all of their belongings are just gone.

<div>Hi, I'm Travis Hayden. On Tuesday, January 7th, <strong>my home burned down in the Palisades Fire</strong>. The entire place was destroyed along with several personal items. Ultimately, I was never able to secure fire insurance because my house was built pre-1972 and in a fire zone. No one would insure it.

<div>I loved this space so much. I absolutely loved living on the beach. This was my dream home. Even when I took a chef job in Silverlake, the hour plus commute never bothered me because I could fall asleep with the sea breeze (I didn't close my bedroom window for 5 years!) and wake up and surf every morning.

<div>I poured my heart into the space, remodeling everything myself. I did the cabinetry, the floors, cut out the sink, I reroofed it myself, even built a redwood deck with an out door shower during lockdown. I always said I'd never sell it in a million years and I'd always keep it in my family. My heart is broken to see it gone.

<div>Everyone's favorite angels, <strong>Maddy and Opey, lost their beautiful Altadena home this week.</strong> To know Maddy is to know what a fucking light she is to our community. Personally speaking, she is the yin to my yang and I literally wouldn't exist without her. I know you all feel the same.

<div>These past two years have already been devastating to our industry, and Maddy has made many brave moves to pursue her own projects, at times with great financial sacrifice. She has always been first in line to help people when they need it, and now she needs your support. Thankfully, she was able to escape safely with her angel pup Opey and a few of her most precious objects, but due to power outages and the chaos of the moment, she had no idea how much she would lose.

Help Maddy and Opey Rebuild After Eaton Fire

<p>If you know Sadako, or “Sara” Camacho, you know her as an incredibly smart, witty, and talented young girl - well beyond her years. Sara has spent her nine (and a half) years on earth lighting up every room she walks into, and touching the lives of those she comes in contact with.<br /><br />If you have been fortunate enough to meet Sara, get a glimpse into her creative mind, or hear her DJ her favorite records, you know just how special and magical this little girl is.<br /><br />Recently, Sara has been diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma (a rare bone cancer) after she discovered a mass on her ribcage. She has been extraordinarily strong throughout this process, and even more now, as she begins her 9 month-long journey of chemotherapy and radiation.<br /><br />Sadako and her family are entering the beginning of a hard and serious year of treatments, doctor appointments, and adjusting to this new way of life to support her well-being. If you may feel impacted by this brave girl's story, please consider contributing financially to her and her family.
