Hello friends and family. As many of you know, we are opening a franchise of We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym. We Rock The Spectrum is a sensory gym for ALL kids of ALL abilities in our home town of Placerville. The gym will feature sensory equipment that can be utilize by all children but caters to children with special needs, Autism, and Sensory Processing Disorders. Our equipment includes a bolster swing, hammock swing, carpet swing, trampoline, zip line, and a climbing apparatus. Our gym will also provide an arts &amp; crafts station in addition to a calming room. This will be a gym for ALL kids to enjoy, but as the parent of any special needs child knows, there are few places that provide an all-inclusive environment. The franchise’s motto is "Finally, a place where you never have to say 'I'm sorry'”. We Rock the Spectrum can help children grow, develop and just be themselves! We have chosen an excellent location – it will be perfect for our needs! It has a covered loading and unloading area (anyone who has ever tried getting a wheelchair unloaded in the pouring rain knows that by the time you get your child inside, you both are soaked) and are in negotiations on the lease. With YOUR help, we will have the opportunity to make a difference in OUR community. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Other options to donate and become a sponsor are: We are offering scholarships for families who cannot afford to come and play. You can sponsor a child for a year of unlimited play for $1500 for a family with up to three kids. The scholarship will be given in your name. There is also a one month option for $150 as well. Additionally, we are looking for sponsors for our art center, classroom and sensory room. There will be recognition plaques in each area with the names of each donor. If you are a contractor or deal with building materials, we could also use some help with the build-out of the gym. We don't have a great deal of work to do, but we do have two bathrooms to retrofit and bring to ADA compliance, and a few walls to rearrange. Flooring and signage are also things we need to look at. We are opening this business with the memory of our son Samuel Eli in mind, who we lost in 2015 at the age of four. He had multiple special needs and would have benefitted greatly from a gym like we are opening. You may not know it, since the special needs community can be a bit private and even reclusive, but there are a large number of families in our community who would benefit from this gym and your donation will be a blessing that will help us bring this project to a reality! With so much experience in the special needs community, we feel that this is going to be a very successful endeavor, as there is a great need in our community. We Rock The Spectrum-Placerville

Sheree and Josh Corbett have been anticipating the arrival of their sweet baby girl Finley Victoria. Sheree had been battling preeclampsia, but was fortunate to catch it early. However, the morning of June 18th the Corbett family found themselves in the emergency room battling this condition. It was decided that in order to do what was best for both Sheree and also baby Finley, they would need to undergo an emergency C-section at just 28 weeks.  Finley made her entrance into this world at 9:30am weighing just 2.2 pounds and measuring 15.25 inches. The good news is that baby and mama are doing well! They both have a fight in them that has and will continue to inspire many. We would like to support Josh, Sheree and baby Finley by helping offset the cost for medical bills, household bills, food, etc. while these parents give their attention to their new baby. Please give what you can and keep this family in your prayers!
