<div>Each spring, the graduating seniors at The High School of Fashion Industries look forward to prom, senior trips, and end-of-year events that celebrate their hard work and achievements. Unfortunately, many students face financial barriers that make it difficult to afford tickets, attire, or activities. These costs can prevent deserving seniors from participating in these once-in-a-lifetime moments alongside their classmates.

Creating Memories: HSFI Senior Celebration Fund

Alumni Association of The High School of Fashion Industries is a 501(c)(3) Organization. All donations are tax deductible.


The mission of the HSFIAA is simple: - Create a space to maintain long lasting relationships between HSFI Alumni, students and the school. - Work hand-in-hand with the faculty and staff to support the students of HSFI. - Provide mentoring opportunities. - Provide College Scholarships. - Support the P.B.I.S. Program 


These goals will assist in student development at our Alma Mater ensuring that they are well rounded and pursuing higher education. We are committed to keeping the Alumni informed of events at the high school as well as assisting in the organization of all official Alumni functions.


We cannot be successful in any of these endeavors without the support and assistance of our Fashion High community. For the past 8 years we have organized various events and activities which includes All Class Alumni Fashion Show, Gotham Comedy Club fundraiser, Paint Night, Cultural Costume Mix n Mingle, F.I.T. F lea Market, Denim Day, and this Fall on September 22, 2018  we will be hosting our second Alumni / Garifuna Fashion Show Extravaganza.  The funds raised has helped to support graduating students endeavoring to pursue a college degree with school books, meal plans, transportation and more.  The donations also helps to support our schools P.B.I.S. Program where students are awarded for exhibiting positive behavior throughout the school community. <a href="https://youtu.be/7hWmVnx3cV8"><a href="https://youtu.be/7hWmVnx3cV8" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://youtu.be/7hWmVnx3cV8</a></a> AN ANONYMOUS DONOR WILL MATCH ALL DONATIONS UP TO $50,000 - REACHING $50,000 WILL GET US TO OUR $100,000 GOAL Our goal is to get air conditioning in every classroom at the High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI), so our students can learn in comfort and not oppressive, stifling heat and humidity in May, June and during our summer session. Founded in 1926, HSFI is a public NYC high school serving over 1,700 students, grades 9-12. Our brick building was built in 1940 and, while it has lovely pre-war charm, it lacks what we’ve all come to expect as a necessity--air conditioning. HSFI students study all the traditional academic classes like Math, English, History and Science and, in addition, have majors including fashion design and visual merchandising. When, in a typical fashion design room, we run 30 sewing machines it becomes unbearable. Currently, 23 out of our 91 classrooms have air conditioning. Our goal is to add 56 AC units and 32 electrical room upgrades. For each unit, it costs $1200 for the air conditioner and installation frame, and $1000 for the electrical upgrade--a total $2200 for both the unit and electric work. The grand total we need to raise to make sure every HSFI student learns in a comfortable environment is $100,000. Our target date for reaching this goal is March 31, 2017 – enough time to get them installed before the heat waves hit. Every single one of our current and future students and their families will be so appreciative and thankful for this donation – the positive impact on student learning will be great!
