<div>Our beautiful mum, Trini Layne, passed away recently. Any possible donation towards covering her funeral costs would be so greatly appreciated.

<div>We are young people, and I'm supporting myself and my two younger siblings. My name is Trevon, and my younger brother is Tremell (16 years old) and younger sister is Daevia (13 years old). We need to raise £7,000 to cover the costs of the funeral, and £1,500 for feeding guests. We have a lot of other expenses coming, like bills, household costs and back-to-school costs.

<div>Our mum was a bright shining light who was loved by so many people. We are so proud of her. She was an inventor, entrepreneur, and community activist, and she helped people all across the community with everything from housing to literacy. Help with funeral costs for our mum, Trini Layne

<div><strong>Bristol Rastafari Culture Centre has been a community hub for 40 years but now we need to raise funds to help us secure the space and carry out repairs.</strong>

<div>In 2020, Bristol City Council announced they wanted to turn our building on Grosvenor Road into flats. But after much support from the public (over 5000 signatures on <a href="https://www.change.org/p/bristol-city-council-stop-the-sale-gift-us-back-our-rastafari-culture-centre" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">our petition</a>) and long negotiations, the council have agreed to sell us the Ground floor unit.

<div>We now urgently need to raise funds to help us cover legal fees, complete the purchase and carry out essential repairs. In order to make the building safe, the following repairs are needed:

</li>
<li>remove &amp; install light fittings
</li>
<li>rewiring and new fuse box
</li>
<li>replace the hot water boiler
</li>
<li>replace broken inner door
</li>
<li>fit electric mechanism to window shutters
</li>
<li>carpentry works
</li>
