<div>On the morning of January 13th, while on break from her job as a driver for special needs kids, a fire broke out in Rachel's Redlands home while she was inside. She survived, but suffered burns to 40% of her body. She lost her home, her car, and three of her cats.

Support Rachel After Tragic Home Fire

<div>To all who know and love Michelle Gonzales and her beautiful family, and to those of you without the privilege of having met her, we are saddened to report her battle with breast cancer has returned - this time with a highly probable rapid decline to the end of her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Michelle is a dependable, loyal, kind, uplifting, charismatic, and fierce human being. She shines in all aspects of her life, but where she glows most is in the life she’s built with her husband, James, and her two little boys, Ares (5) and Atlas (4). Michelle is gutted to learn of her terminal diagnosis, and is determined to spend her limited time left seeking treatments to stall the growth of her cancer and to drink in as much time as she possibly can with her immediate family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Michelle received her initial cancer diagnosis (pleomorphic invasive lobular carcinoma which is estrogen and progesterone receptor positive) at just 35 years old while pregnant with her second son, Atlas. She underwent chemotherapy both during and after her pregnancy (delivering a healthy baby, by the way!), followed by a double mastectomy, and postpartum radiation. At that time, their life savings was depleted and all emergency funds exhausted.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the last four years, Michelle has followed every directive recommended by her medical team. She’s endured countless tests, scans, and appointments to ensure her cancer has not returned, and in the event it ever did, her diligent dedication to her health would make sure any new signs of cancer would be caught early and treated swiftly. Michelle is madly in love with her life, and she has put every checkpoint in place to secure it for many decades. But sometimes, in the world of cancer, even the most dedicated of survivors find themselves staring down it’s brutal barrel again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In early September, Michelle received the unimaginable news that not only had her cancer returned, it had mutated to a triple negative (which is very resistant to treatment) and spread to her bones and liver. She will begin a new chemotherapy and immunotherapy round that is slated to last nine weeks. At the end of this round, she will be re-scanned in hopes this treatment has helped to stall the aggressive growth of her cancer. If it has, she will repeat another nine week round. If not, she will begin a different chemotherapy, which is much harder on the liver. Having cancer in her liver complicates the treatment, however, it remains her final option to prolong her life. In either case, and under the very best of circumstances, her doctors give her a year left to live.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As you can imagine, Michelle is scrambling - unsure of how much time she has left, knowing her cancer is aggressive and rapidly spreading. She is a realist and has done what research she can about the type of decline she can expect from a cancer like hers, and she expects her pain to increase and mobility to decline. She is sprinting to tie up loose ends and complete loads of necessary paperwork while managing pain, grasping at all resources she can to ensure the family she leaves behind is left with as much financial and emotional support possible. Michelle has worked hard her entire life with most of that work spent in hospitality, however, after this recent diagnosis and onset of pain, she has reluctantly had to say goodbye to her work family at Ashley Christensen Restaurants.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Michelle’s husband, James, will be left a single parent, with residual financial strain left over from Michelle’s initial diagnosis, compounded with the financial drain from her recent diagnosis and subsequent treatments. James and Michelle are a couple with a genuine love story. They are true soulmates, and anyone who has ever had the privilege of witnessing the way they interact with one another will attest to their deep, unshakeable adoration and love. James has a huge mountain to climb, a mountain he’s been unconsciously preparing for since the devastating diagnosis in 2021. He has been her rock for years, and he will continue to be until the very end, that is certain. He will undoubtedly continue to be an incredible father, but will need financial support as he loses the income of his partner, navigates his own immeasurable grief, and becomes the primary solo support for Ares and Atlas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ares and Atlas are the light of Michelle’s world. She is fully present and engaged with her children, and is forever making the most of her time with them even before learning of her terminal diagnosis. She is the mom found sitting cross legged on the play room building marble run mazes and Legos. They are always growing flowers, painting, creating, dancing, singing show tunes, baking, going to the park - the list goes on. Her eyes sparkle even more when she’s watching them, forever fascinated by their witty senses of humor, brilliant minds, and big hearted view of the world around them. Michelle was born to be their mother, and the legacy and sense of connection and love she’s given her boys will undoubtedly carry them through their entire lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Michelle’s battle with cancer started when she was young and barely starting out. She had not secured a life insurance policy, and once she received her initial diagnosis, she was unable to find a plan that would approve her with such health risks. We ask that if you are able, please donate to their family. No amount is too small. Funds received will go toward paying for treatments, allowing James a bit of freedom to work less so he is able to be by her side, care for her, and make the most of the time he has left with her. After her passing, funds will go toward the costs of cremation services and then to supporting the financial future of her children. There is a large amount of incomprehensible stress for Michelle and her family, and while it’s not possible for any of her loved ones to heal her, it would be greatly appreciated if we could help lighten the financial burden they are facing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generosity will give Michelle and her family some peace to focus on what matters most at this time. Funds will be sent directly to Michelle's bank account. James and Michelle send their most sincere gratitude, thanking you from the bottom of their hearts.

<div>We are raising this money to help care for our mom, Jill Matro, who has been diagnosed with brain cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our mom is an amazing person, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, pastor, counselor, confidante, and a whole host of other hats and roles she has played for the people in her life. After a single conversation with Jill, you have likely left feeling acknowledged, validated, and treasured. Endlessly selfless, she is the epitome of a Psalm 31 woman and speaks wisdom and faithful instruction to anyone she encounters, from life-long friends to family members to grocery store cashiers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In early August 2022, while visiting family in Seattle, our mom was admitted to the ER for what she thought was a heart attack. It wasn't. Instead, doctors discovered multiple tumors in her brain and ultimately needed to operate as soon as possible. Thankfully, our dad (a.k.a. Jill's husband and loudest cheerleader), Dean, was able to get on the next flight from Hawaii to be by her side and hasn't left her since. Within the following two weeks, she experienced multiple seizures, underwent surgery to remove most of what was a golf ball-sized tumor, suffered a stroke likely due to post-surgery complications, and is now preparing for the long haul of radiation treatment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your help is so important. Please partner with us to ensure that Jill can receive the appropriate medical services she needs for treatment and recovery. She will continue to stay in Seattle until she is cleared for travel (we're hoping early September). At that point, our parents will return to Hawaii, and our mom will prepare for radiation treatment. Our family appreciates any financial gift, big or small. All financial support will be used to pay for Jill's hospitalizations, ongoing medical expenses, and travel.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We sincerely thank you for your love and support.

<div>Xavier is a die hard Rams fan. He is a die hard Rams fan because his dad, Alex, more commonly known as Pastor Alex, or simply PA, was a die hard Rams fan. PA grew up and lived most of his life in Los Angeles until moving to Hawaii 12 years ago. When the Rams returned to LA, PA was so stoked to have his football team back. From day 1 of their return, he was all in and put up the banner of blue and gold alongside his beloved Lakers purple and gold. We lost PA in early December. He went out for a run on a Friday and was hit by a vehicle and transported to the hospital. He passed away the next day surrounded by his wife and 4 children. Xavier is the youngest.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Rams clinched a playoff berth a little over a month after we lost PA. He didn’t get to see it, but Xavier did. And Xavier never stopped believing that his team, and his dad’s team, would make it to the big game. This past weekend the Ram's did just that. They will be playing in the Super Bowl in PA’s hometown of Los Angeles. We wish PA were here, and we wish we could try to send them both to the Super Bowl together, but we can’t change what happened. In this incredibly difficult season of his life we'd like to offer him something that would bring tremendous joy to his heart and remind him that although he lost his father, he is not alone. We'd like to send Xavier and one of his uncles to the Super.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us if you can. All donations here will go directly towards sending Xavier to the Super Bowl to see his Rams play.

Xavier To The Super Bowl

Travis loved animals, especially dogs. He hated the thought of dogs that had no home or place to go. He had a kindred spirit with them. A connection that meant so much to his life. He was one of the pack.<br /><br />If he could have, Travis would have welcomed every lost dog into his home to take care of them. To give them a better life and a sanctuary. That is why we knew that one day, when we were able, we would help him start a dog sanctuary on our home of Oahu. A place where as many dogs as possible could come and live out their life with care and love. A place where they could stay, or be rescued, but never with the fear of being put down. This was to be the Travis G. Barfield Dog Sanctuary.<br /><br />Now that Travis is gone he will not be able to build the sanctuary with us, but his memory and his legacy live on, thus so shall the care for animals that he was most passionate about.<br /><br />In lieu of flowers or other gifts during this difficult time, we ask that anyone who wants to pay tribute to Travis's life, or support the family during this time, donate to this campaign instead. All of the donations given to this campaign will be set aside to help fund the opening of the Travis G. Barfield Memorial Dog Sanctuary. A place where dogs can be free.<br /><br />Thank you for your love and support for Travis and his legacy that will live on.

Aloha everyone!  <br /><br />I have some exciting news! As many of you know, martial arts has always been a large part of my life. But what you may not know is that I have been invited to compete in the 2018 Tang Soo Do World Championships this August in London! It would be an absolute honor to represent our country and join Team USA! I would be competing in forms, weapons, and sparring, and have also been selected to be part of the Women's Master Team Sparring. <br /><br />To get to London, I am asking for the support of family and friends. I have already begun my training and will committ to doing my absolute best. Any contributions, however large or small, would go a long way in making this a reality. Thank you so much for your support!<br /><br />Tang Soo!<br />Sa Bom Nim Leigh Anne Mayberry

Crowd-Funding and Social Media is amazing! I can't say thanks enough for supporting me, and I look forward to providing more entertaining content for you all!<br /><br /><strong>BELOW IS JUST ONE of the DOZENS of VIDEOS from the #Sweet16 trip!<br /><br /></strong><iframe media_type="0" media_id="mKS588-3s50" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/mKS588-3s50/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><strong>(The facebook version of this video has over 14,000 views!! I Youtubed it also for archive purposes!)</strong><br /><br /><br />I've made two dozen videos chronicling the week of the Sweet 16 and my trip to NYC. My Facebook friends convinced me they were living vicariously through them and enjoying it all more because of it. I didn't want to beg for money!!! But I caved in thinking they may be right. I didn't think people would pay just to send me and my son to a game! I guess we will find out... <br /><br />Everyone who donates I will send a download link to a free digital download of my Stand-up Comedy Special : Clean if It Kills Me!<br /><br />I have waited 45 years for my Gamecocks to be relevant. I've watched every single March Madness since I can remember. My son and I have gone to games and we've never lost when we've attended. Last year or this year. It was completely an irresponsible financial decision on my part to attend the Sweet 16 in NYC, and there is no way I could afford another trip a week later.<br /><br />I know some of you will have a problem with me begging for money to go... I understand that! I regretted asking for money the minute this gofundme page started! I had literally dozens of people message me saying they wanted me to be there and to send them videos like I had been doing and that they would support it if I did it. I regretted it immediately. I feel like a televangelist asking for your money. However, if it works out, I will think it was the best idea ever!<br /><br />So before you jump to a negative conclusion about what is happening here, please understand it is 100 percente YOUR right.... TO NOT GIVE! If my videos haven't encouraged you, or you haven't followed along, or haven't been motivated to start following along... I don't WANT your money.<br /><br />What I would like to do is provide a service in return for the chance of a lifetime. To share the first final four of the South Carolina Gameocks with my 8th grade son who plays and loves basketball. <br /><br />The service I'll provide is to make weekend games a little more fun to watch for you all because you will have invested in our trip and felt like you were there with us. My facebook supporters have messaged me saying they have lived vicariously through me this entire journey.<br /><br />On the surface it looks like I am just begging for money to go to the final four because I can't afford to go with out help. And this time the surface is 100-percent accurate. There is NO WAY I could make this make sense financially. My wife is a school teacher and I am a stand-up comedian who used to be a school teacher. Replacing a school teacher salary with comedy money wasn't that hard! If I was a stock-broker making $150,000 a year I never would have been able to be a comedian at age 35~!!!!!!!!!!<br /><br />In other words... I am just a broke comedian... trying to get to the game. In return, I will help you enjoy it a little more. If you don't want to help... don't help!! I don't want your help if you don't want to give it. <br /><br />But if you enjoyed my videos and posts... Then let's keep this thing rolling!! #MartyMadness!!!!<br /><strong><br /></strong>
