I practiced parkour for 9 years and did not achieve any success because Gaza did not recognize this sport. Then I started making videos on YouTube and did not succeed in making profits because Gaza is considered a conflict zone and there is no significant profit making. Then I started freelancing, and then the war came and I did not succeed. Really achieve any success. This is tiring.

<p>Hi my name is Billy from Ireland. I have created this fundraiser for my friend Fadel who is displaced in Rafah. He and his brothers and sister and their families are living in four tents in horrible conditions.

<p>Food is extremely lacking and very expensive. Free aid is hard to come by as not enough is being allowed through. 
</p>
<p>The United Nations has warned that hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza are on the brink of starvation. About two million Palestinians are facing acute levels of hunger after many of them lost their homes and livelihoods.

<p>Fadel was a personal trainer and owned a store before the war, and his store was destroyed by Israeli bombs. 80% of residential buildings in Gaza are destroyed and over 1 and a half million people are squeezed into Rafah, a horrific situation that will only get worse. 
</p>
<p>It's obvious that Fadel has lost a lot of weight when compared to his Facebook photos from five months ago. Himself and his family and in-laws have moved several times and are at their wits end.

<p>Message from Fadel. 
</p>
<p>My name is Fadel Saad Ismail Al-Saifi. I was a university student and supported myself for the costs of studying. Until I finished, I went to work to collect money, get married, and build an apartment. I was 21 years old at that time, and after 10 years, I was able to build my future. I opened a clothing store and a small apartment, and I saved a sum of money. In order to get married there, but the damned war came and took all of that from me, and there is nothing, no place, no apartment, no place. 
</p>
<p>I was displaced from Gaza, I and my sister, who is married and has 7 people, and my brother is married and has 3 people, and my other brother is married and has 3 people, and my aunt is also married and has 5 people. First, we were in Al-Insarat. We saw death there because the bombing of the town was intense, and the army told us to go to the city of Rafah, but there was none. I have no money, and neither does my father. I had a friend from whom I borrowed money, and I set up 4 tents. It cost me a lot of money, about a thousand dollars. We bought a few things and mattresses. There is no income and no fixed salary, and I am afraid of another displacement from Rafah.

<p>Please help, any donation, no matter how small will help Fadel obtain food to keep himself and his family alive. The funds can be taken out immediately or incrementally and it does not have to reach the target. So together we can straight away help Fadel and his family.

<div> Hello, I am Ali, a 29-year-old doctor. I graduated from Alexandria University in Egypt three years ago. My family was living in a harsh financial situation, and they gave me all they had for me to become a doctor. This was despite all of the obstacles and difficulties, knowing that I would return back to them eventually and to my homeland to make a difference. 

</div>

<div>Some time before the war broke out, I was working as a resident doctor in the obstetrics and gynecology department, and at the same time I passed two out of three exams," OET, PLAB 1, PLAB2", to have the opportunity to register in the British Medical Council and to complete my education there.

</div>

<div> My plan was to expand my medical experience in Gaza and to be ready financially to complete my education in the UK at the same time. I resigned from my residency and began working as a general practitioner in the emergency department of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. 

</div>

<div> As fate would have it, my first working day was October 5th, 2023, just two days before the war.
It is difficult to describe the scenes I have witnessed since October 8th. The bloody scenes I have witnessed are now lodged in my memory, and I will never be able to forget them. 

</div>

<div>What affects me the most are the repeated scenes of injured mothers calling out for their children and the repeated scenes of inconsolable severely injured children calling out for their mothers. 

</div>

<div> Many of my colleagues working in the same department were martyred, and so many of my relatives, friends, and neighbours were also martyred. All of them good people, who led normal lives and had loved ones and families. 
My family and I walked the dangerous path of displacement many times and had to move from our home to several places, after forceful displacement and finally to Rafah, where I worked at Muhammad al-Najjar Hospital. This hospital had fallen apart at that time, after many months of receiving thousands of patients. There were no medical supplies and limited medical equipment. It was painful for me as a doctor to witness patients suffer and suffocate, and nothing could be done to prevent the preventable.

<div> My work does not bring me any financial return for me to be able to help my family of 10 overcome the high cost of food and basic requirements. 

</div>

<div> The fear of hospitals and medical personnel being targeted has not dettered me from doing my duty to help by sacrificing myself for vulnerable Palestinian civillians.
</div>
<div> I must continue my work but need your help to survive by providing financial access to food, water, and necessities for myself and my family and to help save up the money needed for me to travel and complete my education as soon as the crossing is open. 
</div>
<div> 10 months into this hell on earth, it is becoming more and more difficult to hold on to hope that I have a bright future ahead of me, but I must hold onto that hope.  

The two exams that I had passed cost me a lot of money, effort, and time, and they are limited to a specific timeframe.
</div>
<div> I must complete the remaining exam as soon as possible, otherwise I will lose everything.

Now, I am at a new crossroad, and this exam "PLAB 2" represents an important and sensitive turning point in life, the culmination of many years of studying, and hard work.
</div>
<div> Help me to achieve my dream and return again to my homeland, to heal the wounded and treat the sick among my people, who have remained.

<div>Hello everyone, I am Afnan from Gaza, I am 21 years old. I got married five months before the start of the war on Gaza, but the war had another opinion in the coup of my life. Youssef, my husband, was martyred at the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7. I was pregnant at that time with our first child in the fifth month of pregnancy. My child was born, an orphan during the war on 27/2/2024. Now my child is one year and four months old. My child became an orphan and he is in my womb. He does not know what the father means. I lost in the war. I have everything I have from the work of the university of my husband's friends, everything. My child and I lived in tents and we endured the harshness of winter and its coldness and the heat of the tent in the tent in the summer and the spread of insects everywhere. The war is still

<div>Shortly after the birth of my child, I discovered that there was a defect in the movement of his left hand and foot. I was able to make an X-ray with great difficulty due to the overcrowding of hospitals in Gaza with the wounded and the lack of a complete health system. When I did the picture, I discovered that my child has a slight lack of oxygen on the left side of the brain, which affected the movement of his right hand and foot. He cannot use his hand normally. It was because of the traumas he suffered during pregnancy and childbirth because of his father's martyrdom, and I was pregnant with it. The only solution in these situations is to do physical therapy for Youssef, my child is intensive in order to heal, and being a widow woman, I'm tired of displacement, and we don't have any breadwinner, and no one can spend on us or work for us.

<div>Hello, my name is Mohammed Abu Khammash. I am 20 years old and I am from Gaza. In this war, our house in the Abu Holi area in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, was damaged. We had to leave it because it was not suitable for living and the area was surrounded by tanks. However, after the tanks withdrew, we returned and tried to fix it with the simplest means. My family and my married brother, his wife who is pregnant, and their child, as well as our displaced relatives from the north, are all in the same house. There are 16 of us in the same small damaged house. My brother's wife is pregnant, there are also children, and there are elderly people with chronic diseases. We only want to live like anyone else in this world, in our house and our city, and we try to survive despite the fact that there is no life in Gaza. We try to live with the bare minimum. I'm trying to help meet their needs for warmth, food, and drink, nothing more.

<div>Da Ottobre 2023 abbiamo assistito impotenti a un'escalation di bombardamenti e devastazione lungo la Striscia di Gaza. La crisi umanitaria a Gaza ha raggiunto proporzioni devastanti e non posso né voglio restare ferma a guardare lo scorrere delle immagini di quello che sta accadendo senza fare nulla.

<div>Per questo motivo, come doula, ho avviato un progetto completamente volontario di sostegno alle donne incinte, con neonati e/o bambini piccoli che si trovano in Palestina.
</div>
<div>In questi mesi ho avuto contatti sul posto e sono riuscita a creare una piccola rete di sostegno per le famiglie che mi chiedono aiuto. In particolare seguo quotidianamente le famiglie che si trovano nei diversi campi di sfollati a Rafah, a Deir el Balah, Khan Younis e a nord di Gaza, dove la situazione è oltremodo disastrosa.

<div>Il progetto sta crescendo di giorno in giorno, le richieste di aiuto stanno aumentando e io - con le mie sole forze economiche - non sono più in grado di sostenerlo. Perciò ho aperto questa raccolta fondi per dare l'opportunità di contribuire alle persone che vogliono partecipare.

<div>Attualmente sto lavorando su diversi progetti tra cui quello "neonato" della Scuolina, una iniziativa partita in piccolo che sta diventando molto grande.

<div>La Scuolina di Gaza - Jehane è una giovane madre e maestra di Gaza che ha voluto, con grande determinazione, restituire ai bambini il diritto all’istruzione: tornare a scuola. E’ un onore e un dovere etico aiutarla nel creare un luogo di rinascita, di normalità possibile in cui sentire risuonare nuovamente un vociare gioioso. Per questo Jehane ha chiamato la Scuolina "Hayat" che significa proprio VITA. Con l’aiuto di Hassan, giovanissimo ingegnere che ha messo gratuitamente a disposizione la sua abilità e il supporto di un gruppo di volontari guidati da Glores Sandri, sensibile e inarrestabile doula italiana, siamo riusciti a raccogliere una prima parte di fondi  sufficienti a costruire una tenda abbastanza solida e capiente per accogliere tutti. Alcuni di questi bambini dovranno percorrere anche 5 km per raggiungerla ma sanno che l’istruzione e l’aggregazione valgono il sacrificio.

<div>L’obiettivo è di riprendere le attività scolastiche per i 700 tra bambini e ragazzi che compongono le 5 classi.

<div>1) conforto emotivo alle donne incinte e/o con neonati attraverso gli strumenti preziosi del counseling perinatale, al fine gravidanza e ad affrontare il parto in una situazione di paura.

<div>Le donne incinte stanno vivendo la gravidanza in condizioni di malnutrizione, denutrizione e disidratazione, condizioni che le portano spesso ad andare incontro a un parto pretermine o prematuro, dovendo oltretutto fronteggiare la paura di un cesareo senza anestesia e dare alla luce i propri piccoli sotto la minaccia costante dei bombardamenti degli ospedali.

<div>Sostegno al post parto e all'allattamento al seno, particolarmente importante in questo momento poiché salvavita per il neonato.

<div>2) Sostegno pratico alle donne con neonati e bambini piccoli con una raccolta fondi per finanziare beni di primaria necessità come latte in polvere, pannolini per i neonati, assorbenti femminili post parto e mestruali, carta igienica, salviette umidificate, indumenti intimi e abbigliamento per neonati, pacchi di creme di riso e latte liofilizzati per lo svezzamento, cibo fresco ove possibile.

<div>In questo momento una lattina di latte artificiale costa tra i 25$ e i 50$, un pacco di pannolini può arrivare fino a 60$.

<div>3) Appoggio alle raccolte fondi delle famiglie che ne fanno richiesta e sponsorizzazione per l'evacuazione di bambini, adulti e anziani che hanno bisogno urgente di cure mediche fuori dalla Striscia di Gaza.

<div>My name is Glores Sandri and I am an Italian doula. The doula is a figure of emotional and practical support for women during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. I deal in particular with "Birth Trauma" and the mother's attachment and bonding relationship with her newborn.

<div>Since October 2023 we have helplessly watched an escalation of bombing and devastation along the Gaza Strip. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached devastating proportions and I cannot and will not stand still and watch the images of what is happening pass by without doing anything.

<div>For this reason, as a doula, I have started a completely voluntary project to support pregnant women with newborns and/or small children in Palestine.
</div>
<div>In recent months I have had local contacts and have managed to create a small support network for families who ask me for help. In particular, I follow on a daily basis the families who are in the various displaced persons camps in Rafah, Deir el Balah, Khan Younis and north of Gaza, where the situation is extremely disastrous.
</div>
<div>The project is growing day by day, the requests for help are increasing and I - with my financial resources alone - are no longer able to support it. Therefore I opened this fundraiser to give the opportunity to contribute to people who want to participate.
</div>

<div>I am currently working on three fronts:

<div>1) emotional comfort to pregnant women and/or with newborns through the precious tools of perinatal counseling, at the end of pregnancy and to face childbirth in a fearful situation.
</div>
<div>Pregnant women are experiencing pregnancy in conditions of malnutrition, malnutrition and dehydration, conditions that often lead them to undergo a preterm or premature birth, also having to face the fear of a caesarean section without anesthesia and giving birth to their babies under the constant threat of hospital bombings.
</div>
<div>Postpartum and breastfeeding support, particularly important at this time as it is life-saving for the newborn.
</div>

<div>2) Practical support to women with newborns and young children with a fundraiser to finance basic necessities such as powdered milk, diapers for newborns, postpartum and menstrual feminine pads, toilet paper, wet wipes, underwear and clothing for newborns , packs of freeze-dried rice cream and milk for weaning, fresh food where possible.

<div>Right now a can of formula costs between $25 and $50, a pack of diapers can go up to $60.

<div>3) Support for fundraising by families who request it and sponsorship for the evacuation of children, adults and elderly people who urgently need medical care out of the Gaza Strip.

<div>I follow a verification protocol for the people I look after to be sure that the donations go to real people with whom - for months - I have had daily contact via video calls and messages.

A Doula For Palestinian Mothers

<div>lo scorso settembre (2024) ho allestito, per la prima volta in Italia, la mostra dei bambini della Tenda dell'Arte di Deir Al Balah "HeART of Gaza" all'evento di raccolta fondi per Gaza organizzato al Torrione prenestino insieme agli amici dell'Arci Sparwasser, evento a cui prese parte in presenza la relatrice speciale dell'ONU per i Territori palestinesi occupati Francesca Albanese.

<div>Nei mesi successivi ho portato i disegni dei piccoli artisti di Deir Al Balah ad altri eventi di divulgazione e raccolta fondi per Gaza: all'Arena Mallozzi di Scauri (LT) e al Forte Trionfale (Roma).
</div>
<div>Gli allestimenti sono spesso minimali e purtroppo non mettono in evidenza la bellezza del lavoro fatto dai bambini.
</div>
<div>Per questo vorrei chiedere una piccola mano a chi vorrà per allestire questa mostra: stampando su carta di livello, acquistando cornici e tutto ciò che possa servire per avere queste opere pronte per essere esposte dignitosamente (anche per più giorni) in luoghi pubblici e privati.

<div>Il denaro in eccesso che dovesse avanzare sarà inviato al creatore della Tenda dell'Arte, Mohammed Timraz, mio amico che si trova a Gaza e che dal giorno 0 organizza progetti collettivi per raccogliere fondi per sostenere la sua comunità.

<div>Il denaro raccolto a seguito delle mostre va in beneficenza per i bambini della Tenda dell'Arte e le loro famiglie. <div>- **Family 1:** Zaineddin is 5 years old and dreams of returning to kindergarten. Bayan, a 15-year-old girl, and Hosam, a 12-year-old boy, wish to resume their interrupted studies. Their mother, Duaa, holds a degree in Arabic with excellent grades and aspires to pursue a master’s degree. Their father, Hatem, is a civil engineer with a master’s in business administration and hopes to enroll in a doctorate. Their lives were upended when they were forced to flee Rafah and now live in Khan Yunis.

<div>- **Family 2:** The second family consists of an elderly couple who were once teachers. They lived independently in their home but now, due to the war, they are displaced and living with their children and grandchildren.
</div>

<div>- **Family 3:** The eldest son of the third family is an engineer who returned to Gaza to start a new chapter with his wife and their two young daughters, Ghina and Jana, who were in elementary school. Their dreams have been shattered by the war.
</div>

</div>
<div>- **Family 4:** The fourth family is a mother and her four children. They lived in an apartment in Khan Yunis, which has been destroyed. The children, all in elementary school, are now struggling to find a sense of normalcy in these dire conditions.
</div>

<div>These four families now share a small space in a refugee camp, hoping that this donation campaign can help them survive the devastating war. The funds will go towards providing food, essential supplies, and a chance to rebuild their lives. Once the war ends, we hope to restore some semblance of normalcy for them.

<div>Hi my name is Melanie and I live in England, I have come to know and love Adel and his little brother Hammoud from Gaza through their unique story telling of how their lives were devastatingly changed by the invasion by Israel and 8 months of destruction of their homeland.

<div>Adel is 20 and he and his little brother Hammoud have had their home destroyed, schools, universities and everything else that they have known in their short lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After sharing their story they managed to raise enough money to pay the cruel and extortionate fines at the Rafah gate to flee to Egypt with some of their surviving family, leaving many other friends and family behind and at the hands of Israel’s brutality and genocide. Adel and his family, like many others are traumatised to know what is being done to those they left behind and have since lost family and friends close to them and wait for news for others.

<div>In Egypt, they have found a small apartment to live but the money that they raised has mostly been spent on the charges Imposed by the travel company in order to leave (tens of thousands) and other money has been donated to their loved ones in Gaza. Adel and Hammoud now do not know how they will be able to avoid further displacement and homelessness as they can not afford to continue paying the living costs for a family of 6.

<div>As it stands they are not granted visas to stay in Egypt, as with all of the Gazans who have fled, leaving them stateless and without any rights to work. They continue to be made to suffer even though physically they have left Gaza, the trauma continues and there is no way to plan for their future.

<div>Adel had just started university when the war broke out and was studying media, he is now terrified of pursuing this interest as he has seen how journalists and their families have been targeted by Israel, so he dreams of returning to university somewhere in the world soon and studying something else where he can eventually graduate, lead a simple life and help his little brother and family.

<div>Hello dear donor, I am Adel Al Zaharna. I have two brothers and two sisters as well. We were living a beautiful life before October 7, studying, working, and spending a beautiful time with friends and family. And this day came that erased every moment we lived. We lost our first home and our second home, even our car and our workplace. We were truly left with nothing. We left for Egypt after living through more than 170 days of war.

Help Adel and Hammoud from Gaza to start their new lives

Chef Ahmad, despite his knee injury and <strong>extreme pain</strong>, has used his culinary skills to cook meals for people who were forced to leave their homes and relocate to Ahmad’s neighbourhood.

<div>Ahmad, who is only 24 years old, already grappling with an old knee injury, saw his condition deteriorate rapidly. The escalating crisis disrupted his ongoing treatment, leaving him in excruciating pain. Originally diagnosed with inflammation under the knee, Ahmad required six months of intensive physiotherapy, muscle relaxers, and electroshock treatment. Unfortunately, the conflict further hindered his access to medication and physical therapy, pushing him to consider the possibility of surgery and, if left untreated, a potential knee replacement.

We are fundraising to help cover the expense of: evacuating Gaza in order to travel to Egypt, rehabilitation and treatment costs for Ahmad's knee injury, potential surgery, and living expenses in Egypt for Ahmad and his family. Once rehabilitated, and peace is restored in Gaza, Ahmad hopes to return to finish his culinary degree and continue his culinary work, <strong>using any remaining funds to directly benefit the local community.</strong>

<div>My name is Louise, I live in Scotland, and I'm helping a Palestinian family who have had their lives destroyed by the ongoing crisis to evacuate Gaza. Many families have no-one outside of Palestine to help set up their Go Fund Me account to enable them to evacuate, so I am volunteering on their behalf.

<div>Islam is a 23-year-old engineering student from Gaza who has been displaced by the devastating situation in Gaza.

<div>He is a talented photographer, a coffee lover, who worked hard on his dreams and enjoyed life.

<div>He is attempting to raise money for his family:

<div>I found myself in a strange situation to ask for help, but in this war, I lost my studies, work, dreams, memories, and a number of my family and friends.

<div>The war has stolen my academic degrees, all our money and security. I could not imagine reaching this stage, where there is no house, work, or income left. We are now living in a moment when we only have clothes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My family was living a perfect life. We had a luxury home in the best residential neighbourhood, and we were all actively pursuing our personal endeavours. My parents were very involved in their work, and my brothers were dedicated to studying.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a civil engineering student in my fifth year, I found myself halfway through, and my future was lost.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With no college or university to complete my education, as a result of the destruction of my university
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And my brother and sister, who were keen to complete their education, are now standing halfway, and their future of learning is stopped by war and debris.
</div>

</div>
<div>This war not only demolished our home and dream, but also destroyed our workplace, the Restretto cafe, where I was working in marketing and academically in the coffee industry. Together, we were building our future step by step.
</div>

<div>However, everything changed on October 7th, when the tragedy occurred. A week later, we were forced to flee our house after a rocket fire belt hit the ground surrounding our home, and we fled with nothing but clothes on our backs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We went to a shelter school in Khan Younis, where we spent about a week. Then we decided to go to the old family house, but before we went to it, it was targeted with 3 rockets. Eight members of my family and others were seriously injured and suffered amputations.
</div>

<div>Then we went to a nearby house and stayed for three months: every night, we tried to sleep in one room, listening to the sounds of explosions, indiscriminate shells that do not stop and the screams of neighbours. We see the flames, the smoke poles of internationally prohibited phosphorus bombs rise to the sky, and warplanes and drones flying over our heads.

<div>On the evening of January 16th, we were trapped by tanks and again forced to leave our place under the noise of bombing, airstrikes and shooting.
</div>

</div>
<div>But this time, we had nowhere to go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We went to the Al-Mawasi area in the middle of a night full of cold and fear to live in a tent that does not protect against the cold. Due to pollution, poor sanitation, and high prices of necessities, we are suffering from a lack of food, water, and diseases.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And here, we have reached over 165 days. We never thought our beautiful future would become this nightmare.
</div>
