Mike & Krystal Mumford need our help. Mike was hospitalized with an infection that turned into sepsis. He now has double pneumonia and kidney and heart issues stemming from this as well. Mike will be out of work for an extended period of time as well as medical bills. Any help we can give them would be appreciated.

Standing with Mike in His Healing Journey

On July 8th, our beloved Brian Dowd was in a catastrophic motorcycle accident riding his new Harley Heritage Classic in American Fork Canyon, Utah. By what can only be described as a miracle, he avoided plummeting 30 feet into a river below—but was violently thrown into a tree, sustaining massive and life-threatening injuries.

Brian is now in the ICU in critical condition. He has suffered:

• Head/ Brain injury

• Both legs damaged (one completely shattered, the other with severe burns)

• A broken back

• Nearly every rib fractured—many in multiple places

• Major trauma to his liver and spleen (his spleen had to be removed)

• Had internal bleeding that has now been controlled

• And two collapsed lungs

He’s already undergone multiple emergency surgeries, and he’ll need many, many more in the days, weeks, and months to come. This will be a long, painful road filled with uncertainty, but we’re holding onto hope and believing in a miracle.

Brian spent years responding to accidents like this one. As a firefighter/paramedic with Lone Peak Fire and a member of the Sundance Ski Patrol. This time, it was him. We are incredibly grateful to the first responders who were there when he needed them most.

All donations will go directly to his wife, Deb Hayes Dowd, to help with the massive and growing medical expenses, time away from work, and long-term recovery needs.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity, love, and prayers. Brian is a fighter—and in just a few days, he’s already shown what a fighter he is. Thank you for your support and prayers!

On Sunday, September 15th, my 9-year-old son Chase and I experienced a devastating house fire that took our home from us. We are so grateful that no one was hurt, and we are both safe. For now, we are staying with my best friend as we try to figure out our next steps.

Our dear friend Nelson was in a terrible accident when a car hit him while he was riding his motorcycle in front of Kite Beach Hotel. The driver fled the scene, leaving him with a complex fracture in his femur, tibia, and fibula. Nelson is now in the hospital, facing a critical surgery where he will need six screws and a cylinder to stabilize his leg. He will also require months of intensive therapy for his recovery.

We aim to raise $6,000 to cover medical bills, necessary surgery, and extensive rehabilitation. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a big difference.

Support Nelson's Recovery from Severe Accident

Within the last year, I have really missed seeing my brother Clifford take pictures of his hikes, trails, or just out in nature. He was always the most active and just loved being outdoors.

Last week, our family found out that Clifford now needs to have an extensive neck fusion surgery (ACDF) due to severe nerve pain which has left him with low mobility (unable to stand or walk for long periods of time). He has been unable to work while waiting for this surgery and then the expected recovery time is 8 weeks. I am hoping that after this procedure, he will be able to somehwhat enjoy what he used to before all of this!

I am asking for your help because with all the time he's missed from work and recovery time after the surgery, medical bills and recovery expenses will pile up. I really would love for him to focus on getting better and not have to worry about these things.

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Hello everyone! My name is Noah and if you don’t know me, I’m 21 years old and love my family. I live with my single mom at home. We live in southern Utah. I’m an older brother to three younger siblings, and also have three dogs. On February 15th, I fractured my femur just walking down the sidewalk to get the mail. I had been dealing with pain in my hip for months barely able to walk. Little did I know it was bone cancer eating away at my hip and femur, which is why it broke so easily. I am raising funds mainly for my medical bills but also will use some of the funds for other personal expenses, as I’m currently out of work until treatment is over with no pay as of right now. Thank you for your time. Anything helps!️

Family and Friends,

We decided to update this gofundme to include Taylor’s car accident. On the night of Feb 12, Taylor was in a vehicle that was t-boned by a truck. She was life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital where she is in critical condition due to a brain injury. Many of you know what this family is already in the middle of with her father, Clay’s medical condition. Please pray, send healing energy and good vibes for this sweet girl. She needs them.

Clay began feeling sick mid September with an ear infection and a cold. In the following weeks it turned into severe dizziness, blurry vision and muscle spasms. After several hospital visits, an MRI, spinal tap and multiple neurologists, they determine it to be cerebral encephalitis (swelling of the brain) likely caused by a viral infection. By this point, he can’t see, can’t walk, has extremely slow speech, requires constant care and is bed ridden. November 13, he went back into the hospital for additional testing as he was not improving and experiencing severe tremors. The doctors think this could be an autoimmune illness but they can’t determine what. Currently, he has almost full body paralysis, a feeding tube and catheter. As of right now, they have no answers as to what is causing the illness or how to help him.

Clay has a long road ahead of him. Due to Covid restrictions, Rachael is the only allowed visitor. Family members are coming and staying with their 5 children as they can to help at home. Their local community has been a great help with meals and babysitting when needed, but Covid is a constant concern and hindrance. Clay hasn’t worked since September and will likely be out of work long term. Hospital expenses, holidays and general needs of the kids are all a concern. Any help is appreciated. Please reach out to Taryn or Kiley with concerns or questions.

Thanks to everyone who has helped the last few months. Please check back regularly as we will post updates as Clay’s condition changes.

Expenses continue to accrue in trying to resolve previous conditions for Jack, Janie, and myself. There is no equity left and we will probably never own the house at this point. We built this modest starter home and have lived here for 20 years. There is nowhere else to draw from. Mark has had to quit his second job now, in order to seek treatment and get well.

After a colonoscopy on June 12, 2019 Mark was diagnosed with colon cancer. There have been many tests and scans run since then. It’s a stage 3, possibly 4. Tests are on-going at this moment. Mark is only 46! He has been carefully researching for weeks. He has been guided to many successful cancer clinics that deal with his particular situation. In addition to standard of care, there are some cutting edge protocols that are proving successful for later stage patients. Appointments have now been made in faith. Mark needs help to get in front of these doctors immediately. Resection surgery is also planned and will be forth coming. Mark has overhauled his diet in the past few weeks and is doing everything possible to help himself on his end of things. Mark (an only child) lost his dad to pancreatic cancer less than two years ago, within 5 weeks of the diagnosis. We are determined to break this pattern and win this battle against Mark’s diagnosis, but we need YOUR help to make this possible!

If you feel inclined to donate to help cover any costs associated with Mark receiving treatment, and helping us meet our basic needs and other medical costs (see below), we will be forever grateful! Even small donations add up in the end. Thank you dear friends for taking time to assist our family in this season of crisis!

If you have a few minutes please read further to understand the full dynamic of what our family has been going through. In addition to this fundraiser, we have accounts set up with Venmo and PayPal.

Venmo: Jill Hudson-15
PayPal: [email redacted]

Thank you for your kindness and generosity! Thank you for your help!

The Hudson Family:

Meet Jack. He is a cheerful and positive 15-year old suffering with a heavy affliction. At age 7 Jack manifested a very rare and incurable skin disorder called Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris (PRP). With each passing year it has spread to all parts of his body. The constant itching is severe, as well as the heavy shedding, dry cracking skin, and painful sores. It is hard for him to be outdoors, to enjoy any length of time in the sun or the water, and often sleep evades him. Only 800 people in the US are reported to have this condition. We started out trying all things natural, but he has now been referred by the Children’s Hospital to a very skilled dermatologist. Jack almost died from the worst case of E. Coli (0157) when he was 9 years old. After five days in the hospital doctors didn’t think he would make it. Jack’s skin condition worsened after this episode, and has progressively gotten worse each year. Jack is a delightful young man who likes to make people laugh. He chose an Eagle Scout Project that fed a home cooked meal to 200 homeless women. These ladies said it was the best dinner they’d had in a long time. Jack cares greatly for other human beings. The doctors have Jack on experimental medications that are very costly, and they would like to try some other treatments not covered by insurance. We hope to find him some relief very soon. Jack has a cheerful attitude, but he suffers greatly day in and out.

Meet Janie. Our sweet girl has experienced numb, tingling feet and legs from the time she was a toddler. It has been a mystery all these years even though an MRI was done to make sure there were no growths. At age 7 Janie became sick one Christmas with a mystery disease the Primary Children’s doctors couldn’t diagnose. She had red spots all over the body and severe aching, especially in her hands. They finally gave it the name, Human Parvo Virus with Reactive Arthritis. It has affected her hands ever since. This girl never complains. She never asks for anything. She loves animals, and they love her! Janie came down with Influenza A in April 2019 and experienced some debilitating back pain that continued to persist. The x-ray showed that she has Spina Bifida Occulta. Her spine never finished closing, which equals a lifetime of back pain, as well as numbness and tingling in the legs and feet. Janie is 17. She is peaceful, loving, and patient, always taking a backseat to the other family issues going on. Doctors have suggested physical therapy to improve her spine, which we have not been able to afford. We hope for Janie’s wellness and improvement, as well as Jack’s.

X-ray of the Spina Bifida Occulta diagnosis!

My name is Jill. I am the wife and mom. I am 47. My health situation has been complicated and confusing. It’s taken a few years to put all the puzzle pieces together. 8 years ago after taking the mercury amalgams out of my four teeth, Epstein-Barr Virus was reactivated. It felt like death. This has caused a series of issues that have intensified over time. It’s basically a chronic Mononucleosis syndrome. It consists of aching joints and soft tissue, numbness of limbs, liver and bladder issues, constant flu-like symptoms, and extreme fatigue. Small chores and tasks cause hand pain that can last for weeks or months at a time. The dentist told me in May 2019 that I have severe gum disease caused by the remaining 9 teeth full of mercury. Not everyone is sensitive to mercury and metals, but I am very much so. Recent tests have shown very high mercury and lead levels in my body. My doctor has suggested 20-40 chelation treatments to help remove these metals from my system. They exacerbate the Mono Virus (Epstein-Barr). My dentist has come up with a plan to carefully remove the remaining problematic teeth and clean up the dental and metal issues. These are bigger issues than we originally thought and have contributed to poor health. In a desperate effort to try and assist my family with our financial/medical crisis I tried to go work for 5 days, but the tops of my feet were in so much pain I could barely stand up. The bladder issues were also exacerbated and made working very difficult. I earned a total of $189 for these jobs. If I could work for my family I would do so! I am saddened that I cannot. These challenges are officially too big and too heavy for all of us now! Mark was our backbone. Please help him!

6 chelation treatments have been done so far. More are needed!

High levels of lead in the body = extreme hair loss.

Mark, who seemed the beacon of health, noticed bleeding back in February of 2019. The doctor he checked in with didn’t think it was anything serious. After noticing blood in the stools these last few months a colonoscopy was quickly scheduled. An ulcerated mass was discovered in the Sigmund Colon. Colon cancer! I noticed the weight loss and thought it unusual. Now we know what’s been causing it. If only we could've figured this out sooner….

My hero has been dealt a heavy blow! Our family has been dealt a heavy hand! Mark has worked so hard to keep us all afloat, but he is in great need now! Nine years ago Mark had a most excellent job. We had no major health issues to speak of. After two job layoffs with a whittled down income and major health disasters one right after the other, we have lost ground. If you feel moved upon to donate, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Even small donations add up. If you prefer sending something directly you can use our Venmo or PayPal accounts.

Venmo: Jill-Hudson-15
PayPayl: [email redacted]

If you have any questions please feel free to email us at: [email redacted]

Mark has a generous heart of gold. He would like nothing more than to care for his family and those less fortunate around him. He looks forward to the day when he is again in the giving seat!

We believe in prayer and fasting and welcome those efforts as well. For those who don’t pray, please help us hope for the best possible outcome. If you feel comfortable sharing this with your friend and family network, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

With love,
Jill Hudson

Now we are asking you to assist Tom in his.
Tom was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. He is currently working with the Huntsman Cancer Institute to determine the appropriate course of care in his fight to beat this disease. The cost of medical care, today, can be staggering. It is our hope that through this page we can help offset some of these costs and enable Tom the opportunity to focus on treatment and recovery without the additional burden associated with seeking treatment.
For Tom's sake, we are asking for your support. He has given so much to so many and deserves the same in return.
Thank you in advance, The Valeo Team
