<div>It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Yita, a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Yita's presence was a light in our lives, always kind, caring, and full of love. She touched so many lives with her warmth and generosity, and we are all heartbroken by her loss. Tia Yita was a beautiful soul that loved everyone. She was so grounded in her faith and always willing to help those in need. After losing her husband, Tio Hector, to COVID in 2020, you saw her sparkle slowly dim over the last 5 years. We know she is in a better place now, no longer suffering, and hopefully by his side singing together like they did once before.

<div>My name is Jesse Sunwolf. I’m reaching out for support in my fight to be an active, present father in my children’s lives. Currently, I’m facing a difficult family law and civil dispute situation where the mother of my children is making it nearly impossible for me to see them. I’ve recently moved across the country to Washington to be closer to my children, but despite my efforts, I’ve only been allowed to see them once in two months and was not given the opportunity to spend the holidays with them.

<div>I’ve been more than willing to comply and work together for the sake of our children, but my efforts have been met with anger and control. My ideas, concerns, and feelings are consistently dismissed or ignored, leaving me no choice but to seek legal intervention.

<div>My goal is to establish a fair 50/50 custody arrangement so I can be the father my children need and deserve. Unfortunately, custody arrangements have been broken, and without a court order in place, the police cannot intervene. To navigate this situation and secure my rights as a father, I urgently need legal representation.

<div>Family law cases like this can be particularly challenging for fathers, as there is often an inherent bias. I am seeking funds to hire an attorney to help me obtain both a custody order and a protection order to ensure my children’s well-being and my rightful place in their lives.

<div>I am a hard-working individual with a clean record—I don’t drink, I don’t use drugs, and I am fully committed to my children. I moved my entire life to be closer to them because they mean everything to me. I’m also trying to build a relationship with my second-born child, whom I barely know due to these circumstances.

<div>This process has been emotionally and financially draining, but I refuse to give up. No parent should have to fight this hard just to be in their children’s lives. If you believe in the importance of a father’s role in a child’s life, I humbly ask for your support. <div>Hi, my name is Rosalie. I am Dacia's cousin. We lost Dacia's beautiful soul way to soon. She was a force to be reckoned with and left a lasting impression on all that knew her.  She had a kind heart and always spoke her mind. She will be missed tremendously.

Dacia Thomas' Memorial Fundraiser

<strong>Please note that this is the only such fundraiser approved by the family.</strong><br /><br />Throughout his life, Chunky fought for civil rights.  His music provides an important perspective on the bicultural experience.  Chunky’s talent was such that he could take on serious issues with a positive and contagious energy.  In addition to his role as a musician, Chunky worked with local youth in roles such as sports coach, youth center director, counselor, and teacher.  He has received numerous awards and honors, including a National Endowment for the Arts Heritage Fellowship.  <br /><br />Chunky’s family appreciates our financial support, as well as our thoughts and prayers.
