<div>Hello!  My name is Deb and I am Boomers Mom.  Boomer is 36 and has Down Syndrome. His father passed away in 1998 so I am his sole caregiver.  In 2019 Boomer collapsed and had a stroke.  He was diagnosed with Moyamoya. In simple terms, it causes narrowing of the artery to the brain which causes strokes and seizures.  There is no cure. He is unable to do strenuous activities because it could cause another stroke or seizure.  I do things with him but he frankly is bored, as we live in a small town and there is little to do. People with Down Syndrome need to do things to stimulate their minds or they regress and having both Down Syndrome and Moyamoya puts him at greater risk of that happening. He wants to travel and asks me every day if we can "go on vacation". I am on disability and cannot afford to pay for motels to stay in on a vacation.  If we only had a camper, we could take trips and do things to keep his mind active and stimulated. As with any mother, I just want him to be able to live his best life and with the acute danger from the Moyamoya, that life could be cut short at any time. He had stage 4 cancer, he’d been diagnosed with in 2017 and he fought so long and so hard, but his immune system failed him.!<br /><br />He deserved better than what happened at the end, he truly did. We had no idea when he went in to the hospital at the beginning of November that we would lose him. I still can’t fully believe it.<br /><br />He only received a small amount for social security monthly and whatever he could make from scrap, he didn’t have a lot to save. He applied for many life insurance policies but all had turned him down, we learned recently.<br /><br />He really wanted to have everything covered and arranged before he went, but his condition changed so so fast, I’m now scrambling trying to locate documents and figure out what all needs paid for. There is no evidence to substantiate this claim. Further, police claim that my son left the scene on foot. It turns out that he was just trying to get to my house for safety -- which was only a few blocks away from where the incident happened. My baby was just trying to make it home to be safe in my arms. Tyre was unarmed, nonthreatening, and respectful to police during the entire encounter!

His cousin who saw him in the hospital, swollen and disfigured, like “he was a scary monster.”

I don’t want us burning up our cities, and tearing up the streets because that’s not what my son stood for.

She was not only laid off from her job in the mortgage industry but she was unable to get a new job as she had to become his full-time caregiver. She had to use their savings to not only pay day-to-day expenses but expensive medical treatments that were not covered by insurance. This has left Marisa and her daughter, Autumn, in a terrible financial place.

Jay Jr.’s Medical Care

<div>Hello, my name is Tiffany. I am the daughter of Curt who is the patient. Anyone who knows this man he is someone who would never ask for help and would do anything for anyone in need. A few days ago he had a massive heart attack and was life flighted to another hospital. Life flight is not cheap nor is heart surgery, which he had. We are blessed that he is still alive, but he is still in critical condition. He is a cancer survivor but he also has those bills as well on top of the everyday bills we all have. He will not be working for quite sometime as will my mother. I understand that money is tight for a lot of families, so anything is appreciated. Please help my family with medical bills

LET’S GET BUDDAH TO UPENN, THE SHOWER SHE NEEDS AND THE MONEY TO HELP WITH BILLS AND EVERYDAY EXPENSES!!!    Buddah Strouse is a proud Veteran with two sons, a wife, and family that are depending on her to get better. She currently has a number of illnesses including an undiagnosed neurological illness making her unable to work since it’s onset in February. <br />February 18th, she was given the drug Topimax for migraines, and because the neurologist she was sent to thought she was having seizures even though she had never before had seizures. That fateful day turned her and her family’s life into a nightmare.<br />After being given that drug, she had over 80 seizures in two days. Many of them being Grand Maul seizures mixed with focal seizures. After that assault on her system, it took her over a month to cognitively regain her normal life. <br />Normal life for her has not been easy because since being off of those meds, she has developed a movement disorder that affects her speech, as well as every part of her body, including her vision. Because the seizure like activity is now lasting so long in duration, her visual field is filled with different colored lights, shapes, and patterns. Each time she has more seizures the severity of the damage to her body and brain is continuing. <br />She is now experiencing electrical shocks which radiate down her spine and sometimes up her spine to the top of her head where shooting pain in a stabbing way happens. Since being seen at the VA in Hines, Illinois, she is now experiencing those electrical shocks shooting all through her body including out her fingertips making it so she cannot pick items up. <br />Imagine a pain so intense that it causes something like a massive Charlie horse throughout your whole body accompanied by jolts of electricity traveling up/down her spine while shooting out her tips of her fingers, and feet. Then imagine it happening all day long while no doctor has been able to help. Knowing that you can not work because of them, that you have drained your savings, and that you are now unable to work at all. Imagine not being able to play with your kids, to have short term memory loss so bad that you can’t follow conversations, that you are literally trapped in your body with no end insight.<br />The next step clearly needs to be Mayo’s because she needs a quality of care that the VA and other doctors in our area have been unable to figure out the cause. In order to go to Mayo Clinic, she has to get approval from the VA first or make the choice to go without a different type of insurance which would make this family go bankrupt. <br />Buddah is requiring around the clock care due to the severity of what I have described. Luckily her wife/care giver has been a nurse for 20 years. Her wife can not work because she requires so much care.<br />On top of all of this, Buddah also has been diagnosed in the past with chronic pain syndrome, numerous cancers, a thyroidectomy due to it failing, chronic migraines, a complete hysterectomy throwing her into early menopause, chronic low back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, loss of eye sight due to optical neuritis, joint pain, muscle pain, osteoarthritis, neuropathy in her hands and feet, and an MRI that shows a brain hemorrhage of 3mm. <br />Did I fail to mention she is only 42 years old?<br />The exposures of many chemicals has left her with the body of a 100 year old. This isn’t fair to any of our veterans.<br />The next step clearly needs to be The Mayo Clinic so she can get the care she deserves before this veteran is no longer here.<br />This is a woman with a heart of gold, who has helped so many, and deserves to have it paid back now. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and very much needed.

<p> Shane, Amanda, Andrew, Althea, Huxley and Adeline had a house fire this morning which resulted in a total loss of the home.   9 year old Adeline did not survive.   Huxley was at his grandparents Robin and Paul Miller at the time of the fire.  Shane, Amanda, Andrew and Althea are being treated at Graham.    I will update details as they become available but I wanted to get something at least started for funeral costs alone and at least be able to get donations started especially with Christmas next week.    Please pray for this family

This is the Buchen family. <br />   In September of this year, Kayla was diagnosed with Stage 2, Triple-Negative breast cancer.  She is 32. Her husband, Chad, is 40. Their two girls are 5 and 3.  It's a time of their lives when they are supposed to be worried about the mundane, trivial aspects of family life. Instead, they've been thrust into this overwhelming battle.  She will undergo chemotherapy throughout the winter and have surgery in the spring.  Since July, every member of their family has had a medical issue in one area or another. <br />      The pandemic puts a new set of circumstances on everything.  Normally, a benefit would be held to raise money. The pandemic prevents that. Normally, meals would be offered and brought in by people willing to help. The pandemic makes that feel a little less safe. <br />       This fundraiser will take the place of all of that. Instead of buying food and drinks at a benefit, please donate here.
