<div>Duke’s Wing Stop is a small local pop-up business in Canton, Illinois, that opened just a few short months ago. Multiple trials and tribulations have been encountered by owner <strong>Tanisha Greene</strong>, but continually she strives to improve and always gets back up and tries again. Her ability to persevere is inspiring.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right before sales started today, disaster struck: <strong>her only fryer caught fire</strong>. Duke’s is closed until further notice. <strong>I know this little community of ours can be so great in times of need, and I’m asking you to find it in your hearts to donate to help get Duke’s back up and running again!</strong>
</div>

Support Tanisha's Dream: Reopen Duke's

<div>Hello! My name is Deb and I am Boomers Mom. Boomer is 36 and has Down Syndrome. His father passed away in 1998 so I am his sole caregiver. In 2019 Boomer collapsed and had a stroke. He was diagnosed with Moyamoya. In simple terms, it causes narrowing of the artery to the brain which causes strokes and seizures. There is no cure. He is unable to do strenuous activities because it could cause another stroke or seizure. I do things with him but he frankly is bored, as we live in a small town and there is little to do. People with Down Syndrome need to do things to stimulate their minds or they regress and having both Down Syndrome and Moyamoya puts him at greater risk of that happening. He wants to travel and asks me every day if we can "go on vacation". I am on disability and cannot afford to pay for motels to stay in on a vacation. If we only had a camper, we could take trips and do things to keep his mind active and stimulated. As with any mother, I just want him to be able to live his best life and with the acute danger from the Moyamoya, that life could be cut short at any time. Please consider donating to help us get that camper and to make my precious son's dream of traveling come true!!

Help Boomer live his best life.

<font color="#333333">Hey y’all, Krasandra here.<br /><br />I really didn’t want to make a gofundme unless we absolutely had to, but we do need a little help. <br /><br />Our dad passed on November 25th, 2023- after being in the hospital for 3 weeks straight. He had stage 4 cancer, he’d been diagnosed with in 2017 and he fought so long and so hard, but his immune system failed him.!<br /><br />He deserved better than what happened at the end, he truly did. We had no idea when he went in to the hospital at the beginning of November that we would lose him. I still can’t fully believe it.<br /><br />He only received a small amount for social security monthly and whatever he could make from scrap, he didn’t have a lot to save. He applied for many life insurance policies but all had turned him down, we learned recently.<br /><br />He really wanted to have everything covered and arranged before he went, but his condition changed so so fast, I’m now scrambling trying to locate documents and figure out what all needs paid for. He worked every single day, even sick, but everything he made went toward living.<br /><br />We’ve figured most of it out at this point, but there were a couple surprises we really weren’t expecting so I’m reaching out to you all, the people who loved my dad, to hopefully be able to help us with his final expenses and cremation cost.<br /><br />My dad never liked asking anyone for help and neither do I, but we really do need it at this time. <br /><br />I know at this time of year, especially, it can be hard and I know not everyone can help, but we appreciate you all and I appreciate anyone even reading this ♥️<br /><br />Thank you for considering and reading our story, my family and I truly appreciate all of you. </font>

<div><strong>WHAT HAPPENED TO TYRE</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is RowVaughn Wells. I am the mother of Tyre Nichols. My son, Tyre Nichols, was pulled over for suspected “reckless driving” on January 7, 2023. There is no evidence to substantiate this claim. Further, police claim that my son left the scene on foot. It turns out that he was just trying to get to my house for safety -- which was only a few blocks away from where the incident happened. My baby was just trying to make it home to be safe in my arms. Tyre was unarmed, nonthreatening, and respectful to police during the entire encounter!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>BRUTALLY BEATEN BEYOND RECOGNITION</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During my son's interaction with the police, they beat him beyond recognition until he became unconscious. He was then taken to a hospital and immediately placed on life support. He died 3 days later, but I believe that my son died on January 7th, the moment those 5 Black Memphis Police Officers pulled Tyre over and beat him to death for no good reason. His cousin who saw him in the hospital, swollen and disfigured, like “he was a scary monster.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>WHERE THE INVESTIGATION STANDS</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All 5 Officers have been fired, and charges ranging from Murder 2 to Kidnapping, have been filed against them. The video of Tyre's murder is set to be released any day now. I would like to warn everyone that the contents of the video are "horrific." However, I am asking people to protest in peace after its release. I don’t want us burning up our cities, and tearing up the streets because that’s not what my son stood for.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>ABOUT TYRE</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tyre Nichols was loved by his community and was known to be gentle, kind, and joyful. He loved skating and was originally from the Bay Area in California. He was known as someone “you know when he comes through the door he wants to give you a hug” and that “he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He had never been in trouble with the law, not even a parking ticket. He was an honest man, a wonderful son, and kind to everyone. He was quirky and true to himself, and his loss will be felt nationally.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>WE ARE SEEKING SUPPORT FOR OUR FAMILY AND TYRE'S MEMORIAL</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My husband and I have had our entire world turned upside down by what happened to our son. We are two hardworking, loving parents, that now have to turn our full-time attention to seeking proper justice for our son, Tyre Nichols. In addition, we have yet to have the proper space to begin our grieving process, which will be long and burdensome. This fundraiser will help cover the costs of our mental health services. It will also cover time off from our 9-5 jobs because we do not have unlimited PTO. Additionally, we want to build a memorial skate park for Tyre, in honor of his love for skating and sunsets. &lt;3
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Note:</strong> Thank you to COMMUNITYx, a social network for change, and its CEO Chloe Sledd, who have helped our family create this fundraiser and bring greater justice to this issue.
</div>

Tyre Nichols Memorial Fund

<div>This past November Marisa lost her husband of 33 years, Greg, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was not only laid off from her job in the mortgage industry but she was unable to get a new job as she had to become his full-time caregiver. She had to use their savings to not only pay day-to-day expenses but expensive medical treatments that were not covered by insurance. This has left Marisa and her daughter, Autumn, in a terrible financial place.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recently she was given notice that if she does not pay her back rent which totals $2700 Autumn and she will be evicted and become homeless.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Marisa and Autumn desperately need to be able to pay their back rent so that they can keep a roof over their heads while Marisa searches for a new job.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any help would be greatly appreciated as they are incredible, strong people who have been through so much. Losing their home after the fresh loss of their husband and father would be a devastating blow.

Urgent Rent Help for Recent Widow and Family

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our beloved friend Jay Jr. has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness and we are raising funds for his medical and end-of-life care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The news has been shocking, especially since we all know Jay to be so full of life, but as he said very recently, “How many people have seen and done half the things I have in 53 years?!”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jay’s family and friends want to make sure whatever time is left, it is spent without the burden of worrying about finances and all are very appreciative of your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jay will have a login for this account and will see any comments you would like to leave and it would be preferred over sending text messages or DMs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Jay and his family for his care. Any remaining funds will be donated to Jay's favorite charity, Annie's Hope, which provides comprehensive support services for children, teens and their families who are grieving a death.
</div>
<div><br />

<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Jay Jr.’s Medical Care

<div>Hello, my name is Tiffany. I am the daughter of Curt who is the patient. Anyone who knows this man he is someone who would never ask for help and would do anything for anyone in need. A few days ago he had a massive heart attack and was life flighted to another hospital. Life flight is not cheap nor is heart surgery, which he had. We are blessed that he is still alive, but he is still in critical condition. He is a cancer survivor but he also has those bills as well on top of the everyday bills we all have. He will not be working for quite sometime as will my mother. I understand that money is tight for a lot of families, so anything is appreciated. My mother and him do not know about this page so please if you know them don’t tell them, because like I said they don’t like asking for help when it is needed. Thank you all in advance.
</div>

Please help my family with medical bills

LET’S GET BUDDAH TO UPENN, THE SHOWER SHE NEEDS AND THE MONEY TO HELP WITH BILLS AND EVERYDAY EXPENSES!!!    Buddah Strouse is a proud Veteran with two sons, a wife, and family that are depending on her to get better. She currently has a number of illnesses including an undiagnosed neurological illness making her unable to work since it’s onset in February. <br />February 18th, she was given the drug Topimax for migraines, and because the neurologist she was sent to thought she was having seizures even though she had never before had seizures. That fateful day turned her and her family’s life into a nightmare.<br />After being given that drug, she had over 80 seizures in two days. Many of them being Grand Maul seizures mixed with focal seizures. After that assault on her system, it took her over a month to cognitively regain her normal life. <br />Normal life for her has not been easy because since being off of those meds, she has developed a movement disorder that affects her speech, as well as every part of her body, including her vision. Because the seizure like activity is now lasting so long in duration, her visual field is filled with different colored lights, shapes, and patterns. Each time she has more seizures the severity of the damage to her body and brain is continuing. <br />She is now experiencing electrical shocks which radiate down her spine and sometimes up her spine to the top of her head where shooting pain in a stabbing way happens. Since being seen at the VA in Hines, Illinois, she is now experiencing those electrical shocks shooting all through her body including out her fingertips making it so she cannot pick items up. <br />Imagine a pain so intense that it causes something like a massive Charlie horse throughout your whole body accompanied by jolts of electricity traveling up/down her spine while shooting out her tips of her fingers, and feet. Then imagine it happening all day long while no doctor has been able to help. Knowing that you can not work because of them, that you have drained your savings, and that you are now unable to work at all. Imagine not being able to play with your kids, to have short term memory loss so bad that you can’t follow conversations, that you are literally trapped in your body with no end insight.<br />The next step clearly needs to be Mayo’s because she needs a quality of care that the VA and other doctors in our area have been unable to figure out the cause. In order to go to Mayo Clinic, she has to get approval from the VA first or make the choice to go without a different type of insurance which would make this family go bankrupt. <br />Buddah is requiring around the clock care due to the severity of what I have described. Luckily her wife/care giver has been a nurse for 20 years. Her wife can not work because she requires so much care.<br />On top of all of this, Buddah also has been diagnosed in the past with chronic pain syndrome, numerous cancers, a thyroidectomy due to it failing, chronic migraines, a complete hysterectomy throwing her into early menopause, chronic low back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, loss of eye sight due to optical neuritis, joint pain, muscle pain, osteoarthritis, neuropathy in her hands and feet, and an MRI that shows a brain hemorrhage of 3mm. <br />Did I fail to mention she is only 42 years old?<br />The exposures of many chemicals has left her with the body of a 100 year old. This isn’t fair to any of our veterans.<br />The next step clearly needs to be The Mayo Clinic so she can get the care she deserves before this veteran is no longer here.<br />This is a woman with a heart of gold, who has helped so many, and deserves to have it paid back now. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and very much needed.

Let’s get Buddah And Her Family Help!!!

<p> Shane, Amanda, Andrew, Althea, Huxley and Adeline had a house fire this morning which resulted in a total loss of the home.   9 year old Adeline did not survive.   Huxley was at his grandparents Robin and Paul Miller at the time of the fire.  Shane, Amanda, Andrew and Althea are being treated at Graham.    I will update details as they become available but I wanted to get something at least started for funeral costs alone and at least be able to get donations started especially with Christmas next week.    Please pray for this family

Walton Family

This is the Buchen family. <br />   In September of this year, Kayla was diagnosed with Stage 2, Triple-Negative breast cancer.  She is 32. Her husband, Chad, is 40. Their two girls are 5 and 3.  It's a time of their lives when they are supposed to be worried about the mundane, trivial aspects of family life. Instead, they've been thrust into this overwhelming battle.  She will undergo chemotherapy throughout the winter and have surgery in the spring.  Since July, every member of their family has had a medical issue in one area or another. <br />      The pandemic puts a new set of circumstances on everything.  Normally, a benefit would be held to raise money. The pandemic prevents that. Normally, meals would be offered and brought in by people willing to help. The pandemic makes that feel a little less safe. <br />       This fundraiser will take the place of all of that. Instead of buying food and drinks at a benefit, please donate here. Instead of delivering a meal to their door, please donate here. Instead of selling merchandise or apparel to help with medical bills, please donate here.  <br />       The hope is that the money will ease a TINY bit of the financial side of the burden.  Thank you for your generosity.

Kayla's Krew

My sister, Stephanie, suddenly passed away on July 30, 2020. She left behind a 4 year old daughter, my niece, Opal. Amidst everything going on, we would like to get a college fund started for Opal so it won’t be something she has to worry about in her future. Any and all donations are extremely appreciated and will go into a savings account just for her college.

Opal’s College

These bison are a very unique mating pair in that they are incredibly rare, estimated to occur one out of every ten million bison births. According to Native Americans, the white bison is a sign of hope and good times to come. The funds from this campaign will be used to acquire these new white bison. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, revenues are low so we are asking for your help in reaching our goal of $8100 in donations in the next couple of weeks. <br /><br />As a special incentive to the first 55 people who donate $100 or more, you can submit names for these animals and then vote on all the names submitted as the final choice for each bison. We are extremely grateful for your donations and generosity, thank you!
