West Lothian Lost Dog Thermal Drone Appeal

<div>All bullie charity is currently in a dire situation. January has hit us hard with large medical bills and kennel cost, rehoming is down and we are struggling to raise the funds needed to keep going. Recently we have taken two dogs back from a rescue who severely neglected them although we don’t have space or funds. Both dogs came back in horrific condition. We expected our bills to be around £7000 this month all in however have paid out £7000 on unexpected bills leaving our main kennels bill of £4000 untouched and we desperately need to raise the funds to pay our bill and safeguard our dogs, many of whom have behavioural issues and can be difficult to rehome. We are often a last lifeline for dogs and work tirelessly to help them, but now we need some help. Our doors are closed to any new dogs until we raise our bill and see some dogs go to homes. This leaves very little options for many pounds and owners with dogs at risk of being euthanised.

<div>I am Frankie. I am a 11 week old miniature Dachshund puppy. And I live with my new family in Livingston.

<div>My family adopted me as an assistance dog for some of the family who have days where they suffer from anxiety, they did their reseach and found out that dogs are good for dealing with anxiety and stress. 
</div>

<div>My family found me through a KC Registered Breeder and fell in love with me straight away. They agreed that I would come Vet Checked and Microchipped and that my breeder would activate the 5 weeks free Insurance from the Kennel Club. 
</div>

<div>My family have Insurance for me but as is standard for most policies it won't cover any issues in the first 28 days I am with my new family. 
</div>

<div>I loved being with them the very second I came through the door. I have 2 big brothers and a big sister who play with me all the time, and take me for walks around the parks in Livingston and for my favourite Puppacino. And I had a new best friend in the family cat Simba. He was so kind to me. 
</div>

<div>Last week we had bad news. Simba was in an accident and won't be coming home. He was brilliant and was showing me how to calm someone with anxiety and stress. And how just being there could help. 
</div>

</div>
<div>Simba won't be coming home again. So now I have to be the best assistance dog I can. But the bad news didn't stop with Simba. 
</div>

</div>
<div>The next day my family took me to the vets for my second vet check, where the vet was really worried that I had a Heart Murmur. 
</div>

</div>
<div>She sent me to the hospital who have said I have a Broken Heart. I thought she meant because of Simba. But she actually meant I have a Grade 5 out of 6 Heart Murmur and now need surgery if I am going to live. 
</div>

</div>
<div>My family contacted the breeder to alert them and to get the details for the insurance policy that would have paid for my surgery from the Kennel Club. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But my Breeder hasn't done what she should have. She hasnt activated my insurance policy with the Kennel Club and is refusing to accept any blame for her not doing things properly. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It also appears that the vet that she had microchip me and my puppy brothers and sisters wasn't a very good vet as the Hospital have said there was no way he could have missed my Heart murmur. My family actually wonder whether he was a Vet at all. 
</div>

<div>My breeder is now not talking to my family and is refusing to help. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The hospital have said I need surgery to fix my broken heart. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The surgery can be done through my chest costing nearly £3000. Or through an artery in my leg which costs nearly £6000. 
</div>

<div>My family are asking you to consider helping fix my broken heart. As they can't face losing Simba and me in such a short time. 
</div>

<div>My family have said they will keep pursuing the breeder through the Kennel Club and will look to recover the costs of the operation. And if they do they will donate that money to the Small Animals Hospital at the Bush Estate in Midlothian where I am having my operation, or somewhere similar if they dont accept donations, to "pay it forward" for any other animals who need help.

<div>I will never get insurance now for my heart problem. But my family have told me they will never have me put to sleep while there's a chance I can live a normal, happy life after surgery.

Help to mend a broken heart. 

<div>Being 54 years old I decided to box for charity last year. Having fought a guy 30 years younger than me and winning in the 1st round I decided that age is just a number. Please help me raise funds for my next new adventure so I can go to the Sahara desert and take part in an organised event doing 2 marathons in 2 days. I will be in the desert from the 13th -17th October 2022 which is only less than 3 weeks away. This time I’m looking at raising money for the hospital for sick Children.

<div>Thank you so much to everyone who kindly donated towards Lucky's vet fees. As most of you will be aware Lucky had to be put to sleep due to the extent of her injuries and poor prognosis for survival. This was a heart-breaking decision for me, but was the kindest thing to do as she was suffering so much. I'm still awaiting an invoice from the specialist vet and will update you on the total costs asap. Any requests for refunds will of course be honoured, but I'm proposing to put the remaining money towards the reward we're offering for information leading to the prosecution of Lucky's killers. Although we have a fair idea of their identities, it's essential that we get as much information as possible to build a case against them, and a generous reward may encourage those 'in the know' to come forward. We are also considering hiring a private detective. Any money left I would like to donate to animal charities of donors choice. I hope everyone is in agreement with this, but understand if you'd prefer a refund.<br />

<div>This is my dog, Lucky. On Wednesday 27 July 2022 she was taken from my garden on Ouston, Chester-le-Street by two men. She was doused in petrol and set on fire and was found, badly burned, in Lanchester, Durham. She is now receiving emergency treatment at Dunelm Vets but it will be touch and go whether she survives due to the extent of her injuries, which include burnt ulcers in her mouth and throat.  Unfortunately she is not insured because of the high cost of insurance,  as I am unwell awaiting a heart transplant and times are very tough. Please donate what you can and help me give my precious girl a fighting chance.

I along with a small experienced group of Search and Rescue volunteers assist owners to track, trap and search for their lost/missing injured dogs.  I am West Lothian based however I do help in all areas when requested to do so. We have thermal scopes ,thermal drones ,mini drone, a variety of humane traps ,live cameras.etc all funded by public donations from very kind people .

<div>I am a handler with a proven search dog (my own rescue dog) . We train through  and are proud to be part of Search Dogs For lost Dogs Scotland.
</div>
<div>I am self funded and could really do with assistance to purchase/repair specialist equipment, bait feed and assist with fuel costs .
</div>
<div>The  amount of dogs/owners requiring assistance is quite staggering and I try to assist 24 hrs a day 7days a week.
</div>
<div>We are incredibly fortunate with the support we have.
</div>
<div>As result  we are now in a position  where we loan equipment to owners and other Search and Rescue teams. 
</div>

<div>It started as a normal game of fetch, as the family always do with 2 year old Tiwha running up and down the field chasing and collecting her stick. …… her daddy’s plea……She is such a fun-loving cheery dog, I couldn't imagine what was about to happen..

<div>All of a sudden I heard a loud yelp and since then our lives will never be the same. I ran to her as fast as I could while she hobbled around struggling.
</div>
<div>She had fallen down mouth-first on the stick, and it was stuck in her throat. I removed the stick immediately as she seemed to be struggling to breathe. 
</div>
<div>We took her to our vet who at first thought she had perhaps popped a small hole in her soft pallette. They then realised it was much more serious and upon inspection and scans at the Royal Dick Veterinary Hospital in Edinburgh it turns out Tiwha had torn a 3cm+ gash in her esophagus. This has been stiched and her wound drained and due to the extent of her injuries she will be feeding from a tube for at least the next 10 days. It will be a long road but we hope she will recover and get back to who she was..

<div>This is incredibly hard to say but please if you have even 50p to spare, it would mean the world to Tiwha. Her hospital bills are likely to cost in excess of £7000 which we will struggle to afford, but the alternative didn't bear thinking about.

HELP GET THE DOGS HOME SAFE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

This is an approximate target as there is a chance there will be more surgery x<br />Puss Puss has been taken to emergency vet, I apologise for the graphic pictures, but as you can see he desperately desperately needs our help, Other rescues have refused to help him, however Lyns Small Animal Rehoming has stepped in to help and we have been asked to create a Go Fund Me by Eva who has secured this wee fella and got him to the Vet, he is going to need intensive surgery on his neck and may require more than one operation, the senior vet will keep me fully updated on how he responds to the antibiotics he is on just now as to when the surgery will be done but should hopefully be Monday at the latest....
