Jess has been, and continues to be, treated by an amazing team of doctors at Mayo Clinic. She went through a round of radiation last March with the plan being to do surgery right after, followed by chemo. Due to Covid her surgery was unfortunately canceled. Jess went on to do 2 types of chemo that were found to be ineffective. After that she agreed to be part of a trial drug study at Mayo. That meant many extra doctor visits and tests, but she forged ahead wanting to do all she can to beat this. Jess has since stopped taking the trial drug as it was not working for her. In January of 2021, a surgery was finally scheduled but was aborted due to complications. Jess has, unfortunately, had many setbacks and disappointments this past year but in spite of it all continues to hold onto hope and fight knowing God has a plan for her. Her faith carries and comforts her as she fights this battle.  Jess has undergone many treatments and has been in a lot of pain and therefore has been unable to work. In addition, the insurmountable amount of medical bills continue to add up for Jess. I am hoping we can show her some love and support through this gofundme and help her financially so she can focus on getting better and spending time with her daughter, family, and friends and not have to worry about money right now. My name is Kaylee Ciavarelli, I’m Cassy’s hairstylist/friend. I have known her for over 10 years. Many of us have watched her work so hard at living a healthy life still and putting years into the gym loosing a crazy amount of weight. She has reached a great point in her journey! She can now get skin removal and have the body she has worked so hard for. With all the weight she has lost she is dragging around a huge piece of her past...extra skin. Her insurance only covers certain parts of the surgery and will need to come up with money that would be hard to come by on her own. I could see the defeat in her eyes but defeat is a lie! I see hope! I know where there’s a will there’s a way. And as a community who loves our people and sees hard work and gives credit where credit is due, we can all join together and make this dream that she’s worked at for so long a reality! I added $10,000 extra to cover her families bills and help with recovery. So her and her husband will not have any stress while healing after surgery. We as a team can make this happen! Here is what she had to say when I asked her why she wants this surgery done.... “I want my stomach skin, and arm skin removed because it’s embarrassing when I’m at the gym and it’s slapping so loud it sounds like I have my own personal cheerleaders I want my thigh skin removed because nothing looks good one me when I don’t have compression. After losing over 200 pounds I feel great inside. I am healthy! I want to look great! I’ve never seen the scale in the 100s. This skin being removed WILL get me there. I have been working for 2.5 years to get there and i feel like the skin is holding me back! I also want a breast lift as my boobs have no volume and it would put my self confidence threw the roof I got all of this done! I went from 427 pounds to 224 pounds and I got my life back! I want a body that I’ve never had.”

Ethan was a fighter, he was full of life, laughter, and charisma and had a heart of gold.  He was doing everything he possibly could to better himself at this stage in his young adult life.  But sometimes, no matter how hard we fight, our bodies know when its time to let go.  And on September 11, 2020, after fighting so hard for so many days,  Ethan's body went to rest, gently and peacefully surrounded by his family.  His spirit, however, will live on forever in those who loved him so dearly.  

A routine surgery to straighten out Ethan's spine rapidly turned into complications after cardiac arrest, causing organ failure and loss of oxygen to his brain.  The families of our beloved friend, Ethan Hoff, are devastated and at a loss for words during this time.  The cost of medical bills and funeral expenses should be the last thing on their minds, so please help me in not only lifting this family up in prayer, but helping financially if you are able.  Any amount is beneficial and greatly appreciated.

He had won both battles with AML, but his fragile 4 year old body succumbed to complications from chemotheraphy, which is designed for full grown adults. We will remember him as a true super hero. Full of life and smiles. So many watched his journey and were humbled by the way his parents Heather and Jerry Tollefson dedicated themselves to the comfort and care of their only child, a child that Heather was not even supposed to be able to conceive. This precious family has opened our eyes time and again to how important the little things in life are, to not take life for granted, to cherish our children and the health of our loved ones. Their strength and devout faith is beyond admirable. It is time for us to come together pay tribute to Landon’s memory by ensuring he has the THE BEST stone above his grave here on earth while he is dancing and playing, pain free in heaven.  Please keep Landon’s family in your thoughts as they endure this tremendous loss.
