<div>On December 3rd, our family went through a truly frightening moment. I found my aunt, Doña Lupe, on the floor, barely responsive. Her blood sugar had dropped to 44—an extremely dangerous level. Her daughter, Elvia, immediately called an ambulance, and she was rushed to the hospital.

<div>Since then, her blood sugar has been unstable, going up and down and refusing to stay consistent. Because of this and other health concerns, she had to be admitted to the hospital. Doctors informed us that her overall health is not in the best condition. Years of hard work—making the best big tamales in town, giving healing massages, and serving so many people in this community—have taken a toll on her body. Her bones have become extremely weak, to the point of near deterioration.

<div>At this time, Doña Lupe will need to focus on physical therapy to regain mobility and improve her health. Her daughter, Elvia, will be taking on the role of full-time caregiver so she can recover safely and comfortably.

<div>We are humbly asking for financial support to help cover essential expenses such as bills, groceries, and rent during this difficult time. This will allow our family to focus entirely on Doña Lupe’s healing, without the added stress of financial worry.

<div>El 3 de diciembre, nuestra familia vivió un momento muy angustiante. Encontré a mi tía, Doña Lupe, en el suelo, casi sin responder. Su nivel de azúcar estaba en 44, lo cual es extremadamente peligroso. Su hija, Elvia, llamó de inmediato a la ambulancia, y fue trasladada al hospital.

Años de trabajo duro—haciendo los mejores tamales grandes del pueblo, dando masajes sanadores y ayudando a tantas personas en la comunidad—han afectado mucho su cuerpo. Sus huesos están extremadamente débiles, casi en deterioro.

Familia y amigos, como algunos ya saben el día de ayer 22 de mayo mi primo Jonathan R. perdió la batalla contra el Covid-19 y horas más tarde su papá Alfredo R también. La familia no ah podido volver a su trabajo por la situación y es por la cual pedimos de su apoyo. Si está en su corazón ayudarnos con cuál donativo económico para pagar por los servicios funerarios  de los dos se los agradeceríamos de todo corazón. <br /><br />Friends and family, as some of you may already know yesterday may 22nd my cousin lost the battle against Covid-19 and hours later his father did too. Due to the situation, their family hasn’t been able to go back to work and it is why today we ask for your help economically.
